For months, Marius Borg Høiby has been facing a serious criminal case. The shocking allegations against him include rape and claims of violent behavior. The 29-year-old, who is Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s son from before her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon, has dominated headlines across Norway as his trial got closer.

Then, just before that trial was supposed to start, Oslo police arrested Marius over the weekend. New claims say he threatened a woman with a knife and violated a restraining order, adding yet another twist to an already explosive case

Marius Borg Hoiby is accused of rape

RadarOnline reported that Marius now faces 38 criminal charges. They include four counts of rape, along with accusations of sexual molestation, bodily harm, and serious narcotics offenses. Investigators say four women were raped between 2018 and 2024 while they were asleep or heavily intoxicated. Also, some of what allegedly happened was filmed.

When Marius showed up in court on the morning of Tuesday, February 3, he pleaded not guilty to all four rape charges. Reports say he muttered a negative reply when the judge asked for his plea. He has admitted to some lesser crimes, including transporting 3.5kg of cannabis in 2020 without receiving payment.

Police say the latest arrest involves an ex-girlfriend and links back to a 2024 incident at her Frogner apartment. During that episode, Marius admitted he smashed a chandelier and stuck a knife into a wall while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.

Judges ordered him held for four weeks, citing the risk he could reoffend. Prosecutor Sturla Henriksbo said, “He will neither be treated more leniently nor more severely because of his family.” He faces up to 16 years if convicted.

A senior political source said the latest arrest has left the royal institution “shaken to its core,” especially with the trial about to unfold in public.

The timing could hardly be worse for yet another royal household. It’s also facing uncomfortable attention over newly released Jeffrey Epstein documents. Those records mentioned earlier contact between Epstein and the crown princess. She issued a public apology over the weekend, saying she “deeply regretted” her “poor judgment” and added, “It is just embarrassing.”

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer kept the focus on the victims. “I have always approached this question with the victims of Epstein in mind. Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority.” He added, “But yes, in terms of testifying, I have always said anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they are asked to do that. You can’t be victim-centered if you’re not prepared to do that.”

Meanwhile, the BBC reported that a second woman alleged Epstein sent her to Britain for sex with Andrew in 2010 at Royal Lodge. Those claims echo earlier allegations from Virginia Giuffre, who said Epstein trafficked her to Andrew when she was 17. Andrew denies her allegations and hasn’t commented on the new claim.

As RadarOnline first reported, palace insiders say Andrew plans to relocate to the Middle East. One royal source said, “There is a sense this chapter is closing fast. People around him believe he will definitely decamp to the Middle East to escape sustained legal grilling and the glare of this never-ending scandal. He is essentially a dead man walking in royal circles and may be shunned even further by The Firm.”

Despite the turmoil, photographers recently caught Andrew riding near Royal Lodge while renovations continue on his new home.

Prince Edward, the younger brother of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has broken his silence on the latest release of Jeffrey Epstein files.

The former Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his remaining royal titles last year, was featured multiple times in the most recent drop of files. This comes after years of scrutiny over his relationship with the convicted sex offender – although Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.

Prince Edward spoke out after the Epstein Files documents release

At the World Governments Summit in Dubai on February 3, Prince Edward was questioned about new files relating to his brother. Andrew’s name appears several hundred times in the most recent files. One mention is an invitation to Buckingham Palace from the disgraced royal to the late financier. There are also images of Andrew crouching on the floor over an unidentified young woman.

“I’m not sure that this audience is the least bit interested in that,” he told a CNN reporter. Although Edward acknowledged that those in the room had come to listen to something else, he did comment on the subject.

“They all came here to listen to education [and] solving the future,” he said. Edward then went on, “[but] I think it’s all really important to always remember the victims.”

“And who are the victims in all this?” he said, before adding there are “a lot of victims in this.”

Edward’s comments echo those of the UK’s Prime Minister, Kier Starmer, who also spoke on Andrew and the files. “Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority,” he said on January 31, per the BBC. “Whether there should be an apology, that’s a matter for Andrew.”

The Prime Minister also referred to continuing calls for Andrew to testify in the investigation into his former friend.

“Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!” Sarah wrote.

At the time, Eugenie was only 19 years old and just two days away from her 20th birthday. She was spending the weekend with her then-boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank, per The Mirror.

Epstein had already pleaded guilty in 2008 to charges including solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18. Reportedly, he had served time in jail and was under house arrest when the email was sent, making Sarah’s remark about her own daughter even more disturbing.

The newly released files also show how warm Sarah’s tone toward Epstein remained during that period. In January 2010, she wrote, “You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.”

In 2011, Sarah told the Evening Standard that accepting Epstein’s financial help was a “terrible, terrible error of judgment” and insisted, “I abhor paedophilia.”

In Amazon Prime Video’s Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision, King Charles broke one of the Royal Family’s biggest protocols.

“Never complain, never explain,” was a rule championed by the late Queen Elizabeth II. Essentially, it is a public relations strategy that sees the royals avoid engaging with or validating gossip, controversy, or criticism.

But, in the upcoming documentary, King Charles goes against that rule. In the film, he will give viewers an insight into his personal stance on topics such as the environment. The topic has been close to the monarch’s heart for decades. But this is the first time fans will really get to hear his frustrations on it.

“I have dedicated much of my life to the restoration of harmony between humanity, nature, and the environment,” he said in the trailer. “Quite frankly, it has been an uphill struggle.”

Speaking about the significance of the documentary, an insider told Radar Online that it “goes far beyond an off-the-cuff comment or a symbolic gesture.”

“The documentary presents a clear, sustained case that climate change is a real and urgent threat that requires action,” the source added. “That kind of explicit framing is highly unusual for a sitting monarch, who would normally avoid speaking with such clarity on a contested public issue.”

According to figures in the Duchy of Cornwall’s 2024-2025 financial report, Prince William earned approximately $31.4million in the last year. That money comes from the the Duchy of Cornwall, a private landed estate. The Duchy was established in 1337 by King Edward III, and traditionally provides an independent income for the heir.

As well as having a staggering impact on his bank balance, the future King’s earnings have apparently caused further contention between himself and his brother, Prince Harry.

Since stepping back from royal life in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have secured numerous high-value deals. These are estimated to be worth around $100 million, and have been made with companies including Netflix, Apple, and Spotify. That said, insiders suggest that the Sussexes have concerns about their financial situation.

“From where Harry and Meghan are sitting, the imbalance is glaring,” a source told Radar Online. “Any time they secure a major commercial deal, the reaction is swift and hostile, with accusations that they are exploiting their royal status.”

The insider continued: “At the same time, William can earn tens of millions annually through the Duchy, and it is widely accepted as part of his role. To them, the contrast feels fundamentally unfair.”

But according to another source, this isn’t a topic of concern for William. “[He] sees no obligation to justify his position to Harry and Meghan. His priority, shared with Catherine, is how the monarchy is viewed by the British public.”

Reports suggest that Andrew is relying more than ever on his daughters to keep tabs on what’s happening at Buckingham Palace. There is concern that the girls doing this is leading to suspicion as they have apparently become conduits for information. In January it was reported that Eugenie was no longer speaking to her dad.

All of these rumors have reportedly not gone over will with the Princess of Wales. A source says that Kate Middleton is outwardly angry over the apparent spying going on. An insider told Radar Online: “Andrew has always been obsessive about his collection of teddy bears, but these days it’s crossed the line. The way he’s carrying on about having someone going to try to steal them, he refuses to let anyone touch them unless he trusts them completely.”

The source added: “What is even more strange is that Andrew carries on whole conversations with the bears. And then will relate what they ‘say’ back to his staff as though the stuffies have given orders.”

Andrew has reportedly been told to leave his home at Royal Lodge by January 31. He is thought to be moving to Marsh Farm, although he’s apparently worried about his his fluffy friends might adapt.

The source explained: “He’s completely anthropomorphized them to the point that Andrew’s convinced the move out of Royal Lodge is going to be hard on them because, as he said, it’s their home too. Everyone’s whispering that Andrew is just one step away from completely losing it.”

Andrew isn’t the only one struggling with the move. His ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is said to be on a downward spiral in the wake of the couple’s booting from the royal family. This week, Kim joined Khloé Kardashian on her Khloé In Wonder Land podcast. During the chat, Kim explained why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were at Kris’ bash. And she also spilled the reason why photos of them were deleted from Instagram.

“Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now,” Kim began. “They have a really sweet relationship.”

“We were told that it was totally cool to post. And then after it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day. And they didn’t want to be seen at a party,” she went on. “So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day.”

Next, Kim commented on claims that the photos were deleted due to a lack of permission from the royal duo. “You’ve got to laugh at the situation sometimes,” she said. “Everyone’s taking it the wrong way.”

“I hated how that was received for everyone,” Kim continued. “That sucks. It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.”
