Summer House, Season 10 has just begun, but tension in the house is already at a boiling point. In a preview for Episode 2, Kyle Cooke is seen visibly upset after his wife, Amanda Batula, crawls out of bed to spend time with another co-star. Fans were expecting drama between the couple this season given their recent announcement, but we didn’t know it would start so soon. On Monday, January 19, Kyle and Amanda confirmed they are separating in a joint Instagram statement. The announcement dropped just two weeks before the season premiere, signaling to fans that Season 10 must have been a challenging time for the couple.

The preview for Episode 2 shows brewing tension between Amanda and Kyle. Here’s what you need to know.

Jesse Solomon nestled in bed with Amanda Batula and Ciara Miller

In the four-minute clip, Amanda decides to forgo quality time with Kyle to climb into bed with co-stars Jesse Solomon and Ciara Miller. A confused Kyle goes looking for his wife, and sees her cozied up in bed with Jesse and Ciara. He walks away, murmuring under his breath, “I’m so sick of this f*cking energy. F*cking bullsh*t.” When Jesse asks Amanda if she thinks Kyle is upset, she appears unfazed, continuing to scroll through her phone.

Amanda opened up about the end of her relationship with Kyle during a February 3 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. The Summer House star admitted it was difficult dealing with online opinions about her marriage.

“When you hear something so many times, you start to believe it or think more about it,” she said. “I’m not mad about it. I think it’s maybe something I needed to hear.”

Welcome to the recap for Summer House Season 10, Episode 1, the premiere! Last season, Ciara was at odds with both West and Jesse (let’s put #toegate firmly behind us), and Amanda and Kyle had babies on the brain. Meanwhile, Lindsay surprised everyone with the announcement she was preggers. And Paige surprised everyone by saying goodbye to Craig and leaving the show. So, what drama does the crew have in store for us this time around? Here’s exactly what went down in Summer House Season 10, Episode 1: “Red, White, and Nude.”

What happened in Summer House Season 10, Episode 1?

The tenth season kicked off with a lot of newbies, and the OGs approved of their vibe. However, the main theme of the episode was the enormous tension between Kyle and Amanda. And this left their friends concerned. Still, some relationships were on the mend, like Ciara and West’s. Ciara was planning to live the motto: summer should be fun! And even though the Bed Bugs were down a member, they happily accepted Jesse into the fold.

We are back! Didn’t you all miss the oddly specific times on this show? We started on Thursday, July 3, 12:38pm, to be exact. And right out of the gate Amanda and Kyle were at odds, with Amanda wanting to ride up to the Hamptons with Ciara instead. Amanda quipped, “He’s so distraught I chose to drive out with different people.” 

They also picked up two newbies, Bailey, an influencer (not to be confused with last season’s Bailee), and her bestie, Levi, an event planner. They explained they met on Instagram, and it was love at first sight. Amanda then lamented about Kyle being a DJ. 

Cut to five weeks earlier. She told Ciara, “I wanted him to stop going out and partying, and he found a career where he goes out late and parties. And I’m like, ‘Should I be mad about this?’” 

Meanwhile, Kyle rode up with Carl and Jesse. Carl was hoping to room on the first floor to “get in the mix,” while Jesse was open to rooming again with West. What he wouldn’t do, however, was come in hot with another girl again. We shall see.

West drove up with newbie, KJ, who is a model and professional skateboarder. And he’s from West’s home state of Missouri. West described KJ as “very mild mannered, and then around three to four tequila sodas, he’ll throw his grill in, flip his hat backwards, and start to rage.”

Although KJ didn’t seem like he was going to rage anytime soon. He noted that he just survived getting his heart broken. West advised him not to date someone from the house. He was still clearly shaken from Ciara’s Traitors-style takedown of him last season. 

Jesse was an honorary Bed Bug

The time-honored tradition of a janky front door was no more. The ladies opened it with ease. Ciara cheered, “To the first weekend of the summer of y’all’s lives.”

West grabbed some liquid courage before wandering over to Ciara. However, Ciara had different plans this season. She said in her confessional, “My goal is for the summer is I’m not going to eat him alive. I’m working on being less rigid; I’m working on being less of a b*tch.”

Soon after, the rest of the guys showed up, but no one had grabbed the luggage the ladies left out in the driveway. Kyle said it was about to start raining, so they should bring it in. When Ciara looked at him to do it, Kyle scoffed. 

Ciara said in her confessional, “Kyle is my friend. But I don’t like when I hear things from Amanda about how she’s being treated, and then I have to sit there and smile and giggle in your face knowing these things, but I can’t get involved because it’s not my marriage.”

Everyone then ran around to pick their rooms. Carl got his wish for the first-floor bedroom and happily saged away. He was living his best life and finally felt like “a real human being.”

Ciara and Jesse then caught up in his room. The two shared it was weird without Paige around. Jesse said, “She’ll be hard to replace, but I’ll gossip with you and Amanda.” Ciara noted he could be part of the “Gossip Girls,” but he’d have to keep his mouth shut. 

Jesse was just happy to be included and that Ciara was planning to have positive vibes towards his bestie, West.

Bailey got dumped at the salad bar

The first meal of the season was some fancy pizza and salad. Carl cheered; they were all single, minus Kyle and Amanda. Amanda brought up that Kyle lost his wedding ring, so she wasn’t going to wear hers until he found it. Jesse joked, “It’s okay, you guys can cosplay as single.”

And speaking of troubled relationships, Levi shared she just got out of a toxic twelve-year one. Bailey chimed in that she was recently dumped at a Sweetgreen. Amanda gasped, “Not at Sweetgreen!” Bailey started crying as she told the story of how her boyfriend jetted off to LA. The worst part of it all was she had bought him the most expensive salad to boot. 

Bailey changed subjects to Kyle being a DJ. The tension continued when Amanda said Kyle chose that career just to “spite” her. As Kyle talked about the joys of DJing, Amanda whispered to Ciara, “I love how he’s spinning this. No pun intended.” 

It was now time to go and party, which meant Amanda and Ciara headed straight to bed. Jesse hopped in with them, and even West tried to join. Amanda asked why he was hanging with them instead of the new girls. West responded, “Because they are crying.”

Meanwhile, Kyle complained about Amanda in his room. He said, “Every summer Amanda just makes me feel like I don’t exist.” Kyle shared in his confessional he hoped to rekindle things with her this summer, but that didn’t seem to be a possibility. 

After everyone left, Amanda told Ciara about her issues with Kyle. She said, “He finishes his set, he hangs out with the owners, he goes out with fans.” She added she was numb to the cheating rumors. And that scared her. 

Carl was concerned about Kyle

The next day was the Fourth of July, and it was time for West’s county fair-themed party. But first, the last newbie arrived. Kyle and Amanda’s friend Ben wandered in. West screamed, “He’s so handsome!” Ben gave warm hugs all around. 

Amanda explained they met him at their friend’s wedding in Italy, and she was skinny dipping. Jesse said, “You’ve seen Amanda’s boobs? I’ve never even seen them.” Kyle was not amused.

Carl caught up with Ciara and shared in another place and time they would be a happy couple. He dished he really wanted to have a family and didn’t want it to happen when he was ninety. Ciara joked he wasn’t as old as Kyle, although Kyle did not act his age. 

Carl agreed and said he only got to spend time with Kyle if he went to one of his shows. He also expressed concern about Kyle’s relationship with Amanda. Why was he out DJing at a college on a Thursday night? 

He said in his confessional, “This kind of other life that he’s been leading the last twelve months, which is like DJing and hosting these parties, isn’t aligned with what should be going on in his life. Which is really committing to his wife, getting back to kind of a good foundation in his relationship, and planning for a future in that relationship.” 

The worrying was put on hold because it was time to set up for the party. There was going to be a pie-eating contest, kissing booth, and petting zoo. Amanda decided to chill with Ben and Ciara instead and informed Ciara that Ben was on the Australian version of The Bachelor. As they caught up, the vibes were definitely vibing between Ben and Amanda. 

Kyle was worried he couldn’t make Amanda happy

The Fourth of July party was in full swing. Ciara’s favorite part was the petting zoo, and she noted West must have done it for her. She told Jesse, “Intentional or not, it’s a great peace offering.”

Ciara then caught up with Amanda. They were missing Lindsay, so they FaceTimed her, and she was happily playing with her daughter. This led Ciara to ask Amanda if she still wanted kids. She did but said Kyle’s DJing made it so he was never home. 

Amanda said, “I’m like you’re putting yourself in compromising situations where people are assuming the worst. To be completely honest with you, I think something that’s really tough for me is when the whole internet is rooting for our divorce.”

Meanwhile, Carl checked in on Kyle and asked if he was happy. Kyle said he was happy “showing people a good time, pressing play.” When he asked if he thought Amanda was happy, Kyle responded, “I don’t know what’s going to make her happy. But I don’t know if I can do it. When I actually say it out loud, it becomes a little more real, and it scares me.”

After the serious discussions, Ciara started a pie fight by throwing one in West’s face. But Amanda started a fight of her own when she “skinny dipped” in the pool with see-through underwear on. Kyle was livid and told her she was “absurd.” It was going to be a long summer for those two.

Something feels unfinished about Ciara Miller and West Wilson’s situation. They hooked up in Season 8, only to spend much of Season 9 not on speaking terms. Now, if the Summer House Season 10 trailer is any indication, they may be back to flirting. Only this time, Jesse Solomon is also part of the equation.

To be fair, last season Jesse was preoccupied with pursuing Lexi Wood. In the meantime, Carl Radke professed his interest in the professional model.

Ciara does certainly get a lot of romantic attention. And this season potentially got more hectic for her than normal.

Are Jesse Solomon and West Wilson both vying for Ciara Miller’s affections?

The Summer House cast teased more to come to Us Weekly. As for West, he is still hoping for Ciara’s friendship post-breakup. And they might be making progress. He called their situation in Season 10 “a melting pot of emotions.”

West explained, “There are moments where we aren’t mortal enemies anymore.”

“[But] don’t know how this is going to shake out … [It] can seem romantic … it’s weird, but fun,” he added.

Lindsay Hubbard read the room and confirmed that “there’s always a vibe between Ciara and West.” As for the love triangle, Jesse “threw a wrench in that.” Did anything come of the flirtation?

Jesse certainly downplayed the situation with Ciara as “fun and flirty.” All the more so to know that there is “no beef” between the two best friends that nothing came of it all.

However, Amanda Batula countered what Jesse said. The Summer House star stated, “there’s a lot more to it than what was even touched on in the trailer.” Fans have noticed that Jesse is one to leave flirtatious comments on Amanda’s social media page.

For his part, West isn’t aware of the optics of how it all played out. It seems he learned little from his freshman season in that sense. He stated, “I don’t know how this is going to shake out either.”

Fans will have to watch how it all unfolds and make their own judgements.

Reportedly, Erika and the Summer House star hit it off after taping Watch What Happens Live. The details are a bit murky from there, with rumors swirling that the two allegedly had a one-night fling. They were also photographed together at the NBC Upfronts. Now, Erika is setting the record straight.

Erika Jayne said her time with Jesse Solomon was “very flirtatious”

During the Season 15 RHOBH premiere, marketing icon Bozoma Saint John quizzed Erika about the hook-up rumors. While Jesse’s name wasn’t mentioned, a headline onscreen referenced a “spicy hookup” between Erika and a “younger” Bravo star. Boz wanted the rumor to be true, but she was disappointed. “The truth is that, yes, I met someone, and I was very flirtatious,” Erika stated. Boz asked, “But nothing happened?” And Erika responded, “Well, I mean, nothing worth reporting happened.” That was cryptic. And in her RHOBH confessional, Erika said, “Don’t worry about it.” WOW.

According to The Daily Dish, Erika was a bit more forthcoming in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. In May 2025, Erika went to the NBC Upfronts in New York City, where she met Carl Radke and Jesse. “I sat, and I had a conversation with Carl and Jesse. And I’ll never talk to anybody again, because it became a whole thing,” Erika explained. “Yeah, we were flirting.” She added that she is no longer in touch with Jesse and would never date anyone from Bravo. “I think it’s a recipe for disaster,” Erika said.

Jesse Solomon says a collaboration with Erika Jayne would be an “honor”

A Jesse and Erika type duet already made the news when the rumor came out that the two had allegedly hooked up. And apparently it all went down after a Watch What Happens Live taping. An insider teased, “Something definitely happened between them.”

However, according to Erika, there’s no truth to that tall tale. Erika dished the details on her podcast Diamonds in the Rough. She stated, “First of all, no, (according to rumors) the alleged hookup would have taken place at Watch What Happens Live in New York City after Upfronts. I was at home.”

Still, Jesse added a little fuel to that fire when he brought up Erika’s name at BravoCon. Bravo’s The Daily Dish reported the details on what went down during the November 16 Bravo Bravo F’ing Bravo panel. 

During the panel, Jesse was asked by a fan which Bravolebrity was his “dream duet partner.” One would think that Real Housewives of New York alum Luann de Lesseps would be the obvious choice. She’s all about cabaret and would totally match Jesse’s jazz-style music. 

But no, Jesse stirred up the Erika rumor mill again with his answer instead. Jesse responded, “It’s gotta be Erika Jayne. I mean, what an honor that would be. Seriously.”

While it seems a bit out of left field, who wouldn’t want to see Erika teach Jesse her patented “pat the puss” dance move?

Andy Cohen really knows his Bravo co-stars. But sometimes, these personalities take things to an extreme. So, when Andy took the stages of BravoCon 2025, he went in hard on a few of these messy stars during a special, live taping of Watch What Happens Live, The Bravos. Here’s who he (jokingly) came for.

Andy Cohen threw some fun shade at BravoCon 2025

Andy kicked things off with a cheeky opening bit about the weather. “Did you guys hear that this has been Sin City’s wettest weekend on record?” Cue a pause, followed by “We all know whose fault that is. I’m looking at you, Captain Jason [Chambers].”

But the “most rewarding part about BravoCon is being completely and utterly surrounded by fans. Now I know how Angela Oakley feels,” he gagged.

“Paging Dr. Jackie [Walters] and Dr Simone [Whitmore],” Andy next called. “Doctors, you’re on call tonight for Bravo’s most accident and injury-prone individual.” But who was Andy making this joke about?

Angie Katsanevas. As Andy instructed Angie, should she have any medical issues, she is to see these women, not the “Below Deck crew. They have been through enough.”

After spotting Lisa Hochstein, Andy made a crack about her constant lateness. He was going to praise Lisa for her timeliness at this annual event. However, a voice in his ear said that Lisa was actually just now arriving for BravoCon 2023.

Can Kathy Hilton tell the difference between Tamra Judge and her own sister, Kyle Richards? Andy suspects not. But after noticing Erika Jayne in the audience, Andy switched gears, thanking Erika for helping him answer an age-old question: “What would Jesse Solomon do?”

Ending with Austen Kroll and Craig Conover, Andy noted that Austen is tall. That’s it, he wisecracked. But what about Craig?

For starters, “He is single,” Andy said. Andy then joked that Craig is “hot, a jetsetter,” and that he “hosts a successful podcast.” But oh, wait. “Those are all words to describe Paige [DeSorbo],” he ended.

Summer should be fun, and Summer House Season 10 should start production soon! The Bravo series usually begins filming in the beginning of July. As we get closer to filming, the Summer House cast members are making their announcements about their future on the long-running Bravo show. So, what will the cast of housemates look like next year? Does it match our predictions and recommendations for who should come back? Here’s everything we know about who’s returning, who’s leaving, and who’s still up in the air in the Summer House Season 10 cast.

Summer House cast returning for Season 10

While the Summer House Season 10 group is sure to look a lot different than Season 9, don’t expect a full reboot. Some of the core cast members are sticking around. For instance, all of the remaining OGs confirmed they’re coming back for a tenth season. However, one of them said things might look a bit different for them this time around. Meanwhile, two cast members didn’t make official announcements, but instead made social media comments that seem very telling. Here’s everyone who’s coming back for another summer of fun, drama, feuds, romance, and wildly elaborate theme parties.

Carl Radke

Carl Radke was the first Summer House cast member to confirm his return for Season 10. “I look forward to spending the summer in the Hamptons with my friends,” he said, adding, “I will very much be a part of Season 10!”

Season 10 will surely continue to follow Carl’s attempts to open his non-alcoholic Soft Bar. We’ll have to see if Carl’s rumored romance with Southern Charm star Venita Aspen gets featured in Season 10 as well. Could we have our new Southern Charm/Summer House crossover relationship after Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s split?

Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke

Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke both confirmed they’re returning to Summer House in a joint interview. “We feel very lucky to keep doing our thing,” Kyle said, adding, “I think it should be a good summer.”

Kyle also reflected on how the Summer House cast is changing ahead of Season 10. “Obviously, there’s been some change, we’re going to be missing our besties out there, but at the end of the day, I think change is exciting and I’m excited for everybody that’s kind of starting a new chapter off the show,” Kyle said, “so it is what it is.”

Meanwhile, Amanda expressed hopes that her bestie Ciara Miller would come back. It seems the swimsuit designer got her wish.

Lindsay Hubbard

After tons of speculation about her future on Summer House, Lindsay Hubbard confirmed she’ll return for Season 10. “BFFR of course I’m coming back this summer,” she wrote on Instagram. Hubb House added, “it’s just going to look a little different for me since I’m a whole ass mom now.” It’s unclear if this means Lindsay will be more of a friend of than a full-time cast member.

Ciara Miller

Ciara Miller appeared to confirm her own return in the comments section of Lindsay’s Instagram announcement. “Thank god,” Ciara wrote with a bunch of crying emojis, adding, “and bring Gemma babe.” While she hasn’t made an official confirmation post of her own, this comment sure sounds like Ciara is coming back for Summer House Season 10. That makes two out of three bed bugs in the house next summer.

West Wilson

Like his ex Ciara, West Wilson didn’t make an official announcement that he’s coming back to Summer House. But fans took his comment on Lindsay’s post as his way of confirming. When Lindsay announced she’s coming back, West joked, “fine I’ll babysit.” For all we know, he didn’t intend this as anything more than a joke. But it’s also a very West Wilson move to make an announcement via a joke instead of a lengthy statement.

Summer House cast leaving the show before Season 10

Even before Season 9 premiered, fans wondered if it was time for a cast shake up or even a reboot. Considering how many longtime cast members are returning, a reboot isn’t happening yet. But there are some shake ups happening.

We already know that Summer House is going to look a bit different in Season 10. Especially because the show’s most popular star is saying goodbye. Additionally, two of the leaving cast members are one-and-dones. Here’s every Summer House cast member who confirmed their exits so far.

Paige DeSorbo

In news that broke Bravo fans’ hearts, Paige DeSorbo announced she’s leaving Summer House ahead of Season 10.  “Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life,” she wrote, listing “the friendships, the drama, the giggles.” Paige joined Summer House in Season 3, and instantly became a fan favorite. Her fame and success continues to grow, especially throughout this last year.

In her statement, Paige wrote, “And you haven’t seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now, you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.” Since her announcement, Paige launched a loungewear line and appeared on Love Island USA. Her career continues to thrive!

Lexi Wood

Lexi Wood is a one-and-done. “Well… that wasn’t the summer I signed up for, but it definitely taught me a lot,” Lexi wrote on Instagram. Despite leaving after just one season, Lexi said she’s “proud of the way I handled myself.” She continued, “I stood up for women and for what’s right, even when it wasn’t easy, and I’d do that again in a heartbeat. I’m leaving Summer House with no regrets (well…maybe one ?).”

While her doomed romance with Jesse Solomon was a big part of Season 9, Lexi was always a very polarizing cast member. We’ll have to see if she continues pursuing reality TV or focuses on modeling. Either way, she promised, “big things are coming! Stay tuned!”

Imrul Hassan

Imrul Hassan is also a one-and-done. “I’ve decided not to return for another season Summer House,” Imrul wrote, joking, “I know, shocking!” Imrul called it an “incredible opportunity, and I truly had a lot of fun.” He thanked fans “for all of your support- and for supporting my foundation as well.” He also thanked the cast for “generous donations and helping spread the word” about his English Schools for Generational Change foundation. “Overall,” he wrote, Summer House “was a good experience, would recommend.”

Summer House cast members still up in the air

As we see, the announcement posts and telling comments came pouring in. But some Summer House Season 9 stars have remained cagey about whether or not they’ll return for Season 10. It’s possible they, or the powers that be at Bravo, haven’t decided yet.

Jesse Solomon

After a sold debut season, Jesse Solomon had a bit of a sophmore slump. The aspiring singer got a lot of backlash for the way he treated Lexi throughout Season 9. Despite this, it was clear Jesse is beloved by lots of members in the group. Many laughed at his reunion jokes. Carl even used him as style inspiration. He also made headlines for allegedly hooking up with Erika Jayne. Will West’s bestie come back, or did the backlash scare him off?

Gabby Prescod

Gabby Prescod is likable, fashionable, funny, and seems like a great friend to Lindsay. This season, she earned points for being empathetic to Lexi. But being likable and seeming fun to hang out with irl doesn’t make someone a great reality star. Unfortunately, Gabby has faded into the background this past season. Whether that’s due to editing or because she just didn’t have strong storylines, we don’t know. But much as I personally like her, I’m not surprised her future on Summer House seems to be up in the air.

Jesse has certainly been in the hot seat recently following Summer House Season 9. Fans are divided about his entanglement with Lexi Wood and how he handled himself in general. And apparently, he didn’t just “get his toe sucked,” but he also allegedly hooked up with the RHOBH star.

Erika Jayne denies hooking up with Summer House star Jesse Solomon 

Although it appears as though that last rumor is just that — a rumor. Erika adamantly denied the fling on her podcast with Teddi Mellencamp, Diamonds in the Rough. Teddi touched on the news of their supposed indiscretion and Erika looked genuinely confused at first.

“First of all, no, (according to rumors) the alleged hookup would have taken place at Watch What Happens Live in New York City after Upfronts,” Erika shared. “I was at home.”

Erika denied hooking up with Jesse after their WWHL taping, but she did admit to “flirting with two men” during the NBC Upfronts event. 

“Here’s the thing,” Erika said. “Was I flirting with two men? Yes I was. Would I have preferred to take two home instead of one? Yeah. I wish I had something exciting to tell you.”

Wait, rewind, so Erika did take home one man? If it wasn’t Jesse, who was it?

Erika also allegedly flirted with Jesse’s co-star Carl Radke. “My point is, like, for once in a decade, I actually talked to people that we work with because I’m such a bitch every other time.”

For her part, Teddi totally understands Erika’s flirtatious banter saying both Carl and Jesse are handsome although the “tall one” probably isn’t “good in bed.”

And honestly, can we really begrudge Erika some harmless flirtatious fun? It’s been a trying time for her recently with Tom Girardi’s sentencing and her growing legal issues.

Season 9 of Summer House came to a close with a lighthearted two-part reunion. There was some drama, but for the most part, the cast laughed and reminisced about their summer together. It was relatively tame aside from the Lexi Wood and Jesse Solomon saga.

It was sweet watching everyone bond, but as a longtime viewer, I couldn’t help but notice how mismatched the cast has become. You have cast members like Lexi, Jesse, and West Wilson, who are still dating and partying, mixed with new mom Lindsay Hubbard, sober Carl Radke, and married couple Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke. Something isn’t clicking.

Summer House began as a show about twenty and thirty somethings blowing off steam in the Hamptons. Most of the cast was single and not taking the future too seriously, the perfect recipe for good reality TV. But a lot has changed in nine seasons. The Season 9 cast has a lot more to lose than they did five years ago, which means less booze-filled nights and drunken make-outs. The show has turned a corner, and it’s future seems unclear. So, where does Summer House go from here? I think there needs to be a cast shake up in order for the show to continue.

Here is who I think should and shouldn’t return…

Why is the Summer House cast likely to change after Season 9?

On Wednesday, June 4, Paige DeSorbo took to her Instagram story to share some big news with fans. The Giggly Squad host announced she would not be returning to the show next season, writing, “I have a little life update for you: I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House.”

She continued, “Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life – the friendships, the drama, the giggles. All unforgettable.” She ended the post by thanking fans for their continued support.

Paige’s exit isn’t too surprising. Her career has skyrocketed in the last few years. She is a New York Times best selling author, hosts a massively successful podcast, and is releasing a pajama clothing line. It’s safe to say she doesn’t need Summer House.

Paige’s departure will no doubt leave a hole in the show. She is the voice of reason, the comic relief, and her fans watch the show just to see her. If Summer House returns next season, they’ll have to find a way to fill the Paige gap.

Another cast member who will not be returning is Lexi. The newbie announced she is leaving the show in a Friday, June 6 Instagram story.

“Well … that wasn’t the summer I signed up for but it definitely taught me a lot,” she wrote. “I stood up for women and for what’s right, even when it wasn’t easy and I’d do that again in a heartbeat. I’m leaving Summer House with no regrets (well … maybe one.)”

Who’s most likely to leave the show?

Paige’s announcement got me thinking about the current state of the Summer House cast. The ages in the house range from 26 to 42 years old, a much wider gap than ever before. It’s hard to ignore the gap in the house. While Lexi ponders girl code and the rules of exclusivity, Kyle is getting his sperm tested, so he and Amanda can start a family. Yeah, they are clearly at different stages of life.

Summer House finds itself at a Vanderpump Rules crossroads. Do they continue with the OGs and transform the show into a more mature program? Conversely, the network could say goodbye to the more seasoned cast members and continue with the newbies, who still have a few all-nighters left them in. It’s a tough choice, but it may be time to make it. What is the alternative? Lindsay’s daughter Gemma is woken up in the night by Imrul Hassan’s sexcapades? Yeah, I don’t think so.

Who should definitely stay on the Summer House cast after Season 9?

There are a few cast members that I feel confident still have a few good summers left in them. I think Jesse, West, and Ciara Miller should all return next season. They’re single, they’re fun, and none of them were engaged to another cast member. I mean, come on, Lindsay and Carl cannot keep doing this. One of them has to take the bait and leave the show. I also think Amanda and Kyle should return. My feelings may change once they start a family but for now, I still think they bring a lot to the show.

We’ve reached the end of our journey with Summer House Season 9, Episode 17! Last week was the first half of the Snoozefest-themed reunion, and Ciara and West finally had a breakthrough. West apologized about twenty times, and Ciara cautiously accepted them all. However, things didn’t go as well between Lexi and Jesse. Jesse explained #toegate was just a joke, and Lexi threw her hands up and said, “The lies! The lies!” Would Lexi and Jesse ever be able to be friends? Here’s exactly what went down in Summer House Season 9, Episode 17: “Reunion Part 2.”

What happened in Summer House Season 9, Episode 17?

The season concluded with some interesting revelations. Lindsay was now single and would be returning next summer despite having a toddler in tow, so expect more activations to come! Amanda and Kyle still had babies on the brain, but Kyle would need to slow his roll working before Amanda was ready. Paige dished Craig’s name wasn’t even in her vocabulary, and shocker … Jesse was ready to be next in line. Another reason why Lexi was glad to be done with him for good. 

Lexi didn’t want anything to do with Jesse

Ciara may have resolved her grievances with West, but now she had some with Lexi. Lexi had done a press tour alleging Jesse and Ciara skipped her birthday so they could hang out together instead. The receipt was an Insta of Jesse and Ciara having brunch on a different day than her party. The math wasn’t mathing.

Lexi told Ciara, “I’m very sorry that you were dragged into it. Jesse’s the one posting it, Jesse’s the one liking comments; shipping this relationship between you two … it was more towards what Jesse posts.” Ciara quipped, “All that smoke should be directed at Jesse.” 

The smoke quickly blew Jesse’s way when Lexi dropped the bomb that Jesse said Paige, Amanda, and Ciara wanted them to break up. This in turn made her cling to Jesse for dear life instead of making friends with the girls. Jesse said, “You’re making me sound like some mastermind.” Ciara joked no one was going to accuse him of that.

But Paige and Amanda were shocked. They both said they liked her and wished she had reached out to them. To be fair, they don’t seem like the easiest group of girls to join. Still, you have to at least make an effort. 

Jesse then gave a generic apology to Lexi. Thankfully, Lindsay swooped right in with the real real. She eloquently stated Lexi and Jesse cared more about their perceptions of themselves than their relationship. This got a standing ovation from the group. Bravo! 

Andy wondered if Lexi and Jesse could ever be friends again. Jesse was open to it, but Lexi gave a firm no. She said, “Yeah, I’m good.” Did this mean Lexi won’t be returning next season?

Lindsay and Turner were on pause

Next up was Lindsay, who had one of her best summers yet. Andy said she was “cool as a cucumber, and dare I say, soft?” Cut to an ecstatic Lindsay spilling the news she was pregnant to the group. And then to Jesse’s not-so-ecstatic reaction. 

Andy asked why he had “stank face” when Lindsay shared the news. Jesse tried to downplay it and said he was surprised because she was just engaged to Carl. However, Carl chimed in that he was genuinely happy for her. Take notes, Jesse!

Gabby was briefly in the hot seat when Andy asked about her shady comments regarding Carl. Cut to Gabby mentioning his “big ass teeth,” and he didn’t bring anything to the show. Gabby responded, “I don’t think that. I was definitely trying to make Lindsay feel better.” Carl noted she did apologize, and the two were good. 

But Carl and Lindsay’s friendship still wasn’t good. Carl said, “Losing a friend, no matter what the situation, it sucks … and we had a lot of great good bonding and just stuff that was kind of gone.” However, Lindsay wasn’t quite ready to mend things. She stated, “I don’t know if I’m there yet.” 

She was there with Turner, though. The two were successfully … coparenting? Lindsay dished, “We put our romantic relationship on pause.” This shocked the group. Lindsay explained they were trying to find that balance between being public and private. And what would that mean for Gemma?

Still, things were just fine. Andy asked what she would tell herself from nine seasons ago. Lindsay shared, “That you just have to trust the universe. It’s not going to go the way you think or plan it to go … it’s all going to work out.” No timelines required!

Kyle and Amanda want to be parents in the near-ish future 

Carl’s dating life was the main focus when Andy brought up his brief entanglement with amateur magician Lil. Carl said, “I thought she had a hot body and cute face.” But that wasn’t enough to get over the fact she said he had “lemur energy” and brought him a lemon as a gift. Needless to say, they were short-lived as a couple. 

Andy then switched gears over to Kyle and Amanda. He wondered what their secret was to getting along better this season. Kyle said, “It’s all about patience … we did a better job of kind of hashing it out in a civil manner instead of letting it fester.” And Kyle didn’t come home at 4am every night either. 

Amanda spilled the tea she “had one foot out” this summer. But they had discussed what needed to change. Kyle noted he was using the Hamptons as his release and realized he needed to be more present in their relationship. There’s no divorce on the horizon. 

What is, though, is having a baby. It’s something they both want, but the timing seems to be off. Kyle’s workaholic ways were not only affecting their relationship but also showing that he was not serious about wanting to be a father. Kyle said, “Everything that I’m doing is to build a future.” Amanda responded, “There will be no future if all he does is work.”

But Amanda knew her biological clock was ticking, and she needed to get a move on soon if she wanted to have more than one child. Andy jumped in; he knew he had to pull the trigger when he got to the age of 50. Kyle joked that he had sperm on ice, and Andy interjected, Craig did too. Paige was not amused. 

Paige spilled the hard tea on Craig

The spritz cocktail feud between Kyle and Craig came up. Andy asked Kyle if he really meant it when he apologized to Craig. Kyle said, “I was trying to take the highroad. I literally have text after text … lie after lie … receipts galore.” He sighed, “I can’t with this guy!” 

Paige agreed. She spilled the hard tea about Craig getting kicked out of Kyle and Amanda’s wedding. Paige scoffed, “He acted like an entire brat … and he was an embarrassment.” 

She then confirmed their breakup was right after Thanksgiving. Paige announced it on New Year’s Eve when pictures circulated of Craig partying, and she didn’t want people to think he was cheating. 

But then Craig didn’t defend Paige against the cheating rumors about her. Paige said, “He did not need to defend me; he could have just said, ‘No she didn’t cheat on me’ … I didn’t break up with him for other people.”

Paige concluded, “Here’s the thing that I will say about me and my ex-boyfriend: when it came to filming, we were very much like, ‘If you feel it and it’s real, say it.’” She added, “You’ll never hear me say his name again.” Jesse’s eyes lit up. So you’re saying there’s a chance!

Lindsay then confirmed she would indeed be back next summer. Did we think there would be any other outcome? The group cheered with some breast milk, er, White Russians. Kyle toasted, “To friends, to family, and to coming together again this coming summer.” And I can’t wait to see what happens next.
