Last night, Calla Lily’s mask came off on The Masked Singer, revealing Teddi Mellencamp’s smiling face underneath. For those who watched Teddi on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you likely already guessed Teddi’s identity. That said, three out of four judges didn’t. And that was shocking, actually, because her clue package could not have been any clearer.

Last season, RHOBH’s Erika Jayne also starred on The Masked Singer. She entered this competition series as the beloved pup named Yorkie. But her clue package was just as easy to crack as Teddi’s. Or maybe I know far too many Real Housewives trivia facts.

Either way, The Masked Singer just said goodbye to another RHOBH star by way of Teddi. Here’s a recap detailing her clue packet, the judges’ predictions, and Teddi’s closing thoughts following her unmasking as the Calla Lily flower in Season 14.

Every contestant on The Masked Singer films a pre-recorded, lively teaser, complete with hints about their masked identities. These live-action videos air right before they perform. And that, plus the way each singer carries themselves, typically helps everyone guess their likenesses. However, only one judge correctly guessed Teddi’s name, so let’s take a look at Teddi’s clue package to understand why.

During week two, Calla Lily performed Rachel Platten’s hit track “Fight Song.” In her clue package, this character hinted about a recent, life-changing health diagnosis. And as RHOBH fans know, Teddi was diagnosed with stage II melanoma in October 2022. In February 2025, her cancer metastasized to her brain and lungs, and she remains in treatment today.

Then, during her appearance in week four, The Masked Singer observed the 250th birthday of the United States. So, Calla Lily suggested that one of her loved ones is well-known for their honoring of the U.S.A. “I can’t celebrate America and not mention an American legend,” she said, further teasing, “He’s an icon, but to me, he’s so much more.” Yes, she was talking about her father, recording artist John Mellencamp.

And finally, the judges received their last tangible clues: a gummy bear, a diamond house key, and a cougar T-shirt. Immediately, one of the judges realized Calla Lily’s identity.

Only one Masked Singer judge correctly guessed Teddi’s identity

After Teddi’s character performed “Jack and Diane,” one of her father’s iconic songs, the four judges continued to scratch their heads. However, this particular performance did make Jenny McCarthy rave about how much Calla Lily had “blossomed.” And then, in reviewing all of Calla Lily’s clues, this same judge’s ears finally perked.

“I see a house key, and I see a diamond. And that sounds like a Beverly Hills Housewife to me,” Jenny explained. “Put the clues together: gummy bear. Bear. Teddi. Cougar, dad’s nickname. Mellencamp. Cougar. This is Teddi Mellencamp from the Housewives,” Jenny accurately predicted.

But she also interjected some humbleness here by admitting that she “could be wrong.” However, the clue packages did point “in [Teddi’s] direction,” Jenny noted. And just in case she was right, Jenny next spoke to Teddi, who was still wearing her Calla Lily mask, saying, “I just honor your journey, girlfriend, and I feel so honored to have you here.”

After being voted off and forced to reveal her true identity, Teddi finally unmasked herself, making Jenny the only right judge on her panel.

Meanwhile, Rita Ora chose Selma Blair, while Ken Jeong guessed Christina Applegate. As for Robin Thicke, he stood ten toes down that Calla Lily was Danielle Fishel, since Danielle had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Teddi gave an emotional message as her Masked Singer journey came to an end

Following her unveiling on The Masked Singer, Teddi took everything in. And then, she offered an emotional statement about her journey.

“I’m not a singer by trade, clearly, and so that part was challenging for me,” she began. “Also, a big part of my memory has been askew since my brain surgery. So I was a little bit nervous. But I was excited to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new, and it felt like it gave me a little bit of life,” Teddi emotionally stressed.

Teddi’s life took a drastic turn following her 2025 health update. Instead of fighting over trivial matters on RHOBH, Teddi had no choice but to gather up her courage and fight for her life. In doing so, her days quickly filled with surgeries and treatment options to knock back her cancer. So, when we heard Teddi admit that The Masked Singer injected “a little bit of life” back into her steps, reality quickly settled into our hearts.

Sherri Shepherd, who co-hosted alongside McCarthy at the time, said she wasn’t surprised by her friend’s remarks. She recalled the exact moment producers pivoted the show’s focus, saying McCarthy panicked over the sudden change.

Shepherd said it was no secret that her friend disliked being on “The View.” In a clip shared by Entertainment Weekly, she recalled, “I remember the day they switched it to politics, Jenny came into my dressing room just like that. She goes, ‘Sherri, oh my God, what am I gonna do?’ And I looked at her, I said, ‘What are you gonna do? What are we gonna do!’”

Shepherd said everything McCarthy has shared about the experience is accurate and admitted she felt sorry for her friend. She explained that the show hired McCarthy after audience research showed viewers wanted less political debate and a lighter, more fun tone.

According to Shepherd, those plans later shifted, and while McCarthy initially came across as “light,” “funny,” and “sexy,” the show eventually steered Hot Topics back toward political discussion. Within weeks, producers pushed McCarthy to appear more politically serious, even adjusting her on-air look to reflect that shift.

Despite the challenges, Shepherd described her time on “The View” as one of the most intense yet rewarding experiences of her career. “I do,” Jenny confirmed. When asked if she knows Mo, Jenny answered, “No.” Then, Jenny confessed that she does have one reservation about this possible reconciliation, should her wishes win. Mauricio has been living it up, Jenny noted, asking, “Once you dip into that young 25-year-old puntango, it’s going to be really hard, right, to swim back to the older shore?”

“Right,” Andy responded. When Kyle is around Mo, her feelings definitely seem conflicted. Yet, Mauricio sometimes presents differently, suggesting he might feel a different vibe, as Jenny fears.

She revealed that the 56-year-old “treats her like a queen” and is the “perfect” man that people read in “textbooks.” 

Intervening, Kelly Ripa claimed that she was sensing “a but.” In response, McCarthy said that there was not a “but,” however, there might be an “and.” “There are, I wouldn’t call it a problem, but challenges. To be blunt, snoring,” the actress added.

While explaining the bedroom challenge, McCarthy further revealed her solution. She mentioned that she has “built in these insulations that really help me get through the night now.” Pointing at the photo, which was displayed on the screen, she said that she has been sleeping with “giant headphones” every night. Additionally, she would build a wall with pillows, which she jokingly called “a Great Wall of China” to block the noise.

Despite all the efforts, the “Masked Singer” judge stated that the sound of Wahlberg’s snoring would sometimes escape those walls and headphones. Therefore, she would play the sound of the ocean and would give a “love tap” so that he would roll over to the other side. Moreover, she encouraged viewers to try her noise-canceling technique if they have been facing the same challenge.

Anyone wanting Jenny McCarthy to return to The View is in for a big disappointment. The model and actress has put to bed any rumors that she may come back to the talk show, which she co-hosted over a decade ago.

Seeing her on that show again will be a hard no for Jenny. She says that the program hired her in 2013 because The View was too polarizing at the time. She claims they added her to the lineup to add more light, fluffy fun to balance out the intensity of the opinionated show.

When it comes to The View, Jenny is over and out. That’s the message she’s sending about a potential return for her to the program in any capacity. She admits to US Weekly that the show has asked her to return for a reunion before. Her response was “over my dead body.”

She says that she took the job initially because she didn’t consider herself a political person, which, in her eyes, made her an ideal host. Jenny adds that after joining, they wanted her to get political, which she wasn’t comfortable doing. That said, Jenny believes she’s much more political these days, thanks in part to the Donald Trump administration.

Jenny served as co-host for just one season, replacing the departed Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Things got so bad for her at that time that she said in a May 2025 interview that she was begging to be fired.

These days, she seems to have bigger concerns than returning to television. Jenny revealed last November that she had growths on her eyeballs. This was reportedly the result of multiple medical procedures she’s had over the years.

Multiple medical procedures have taken a toll on Jenny McCarthy. The former Playboy model is sharing all of her health struggles this year, which have had a devastating effect on her body. She says she’s had multiple infections, which have piled up, adding, “I had these growths show up on my eyeballs.”

She says in addition to her eye problems, she’s had nine surgeries on her mouth in 2025. Jenny adds that after chipping away and digging into her jawbone, doctors found she had a deep bone infection.

The medical problems surrounding the former co-host of Singled Out are starting to show. From her swelling eyes to her losing teeth from the oral surgeries she’s incurring her share of physical pain. “I’ve been pretty unlucky,” Jenny told People.

Her mouth issues have reduced her to only eating soft foods for the time being while she recovers. She hopes she can enjoy some turkey and some nice personal time with husband Donnie Wahlberg for Thanksgiving. Finding more time to spend with him has not been easy since she’s been shooting The Masked Singer. The two are so in love that they reportedly renew their vows on an annual basis.

Jenny says people should actually feel a little sorry for her, given all the pain she’s been experiencing. She adds that she’s been on antibiotics and soft foods for a year. Last year, she said she declined an offer to be on The Real Housewives of New York City. Bethenny Frankel apparently recommended her for the show years ago.

Jenny has one child with her first husband, John Asher. Her current husband and New Kids on the Block bad boy has one kid of his own. The pair have been together since 2014.

The Real Housewives of New York City could have looked a whole lot different. According to Jenny McCarthy, she was offered a role and turned it down. So, it sounds like we all might have dodged a bullet.

Jenny originally shared the tidbit with Us Weekly when chatting about her role on The Masked Singer. At this point, that show is Jenny’s full-time job, but her reality TV career could have taken a completely different path.

According to Jenny, Bethenny Frankel threw her name into the hat for the show nearly 10 years ago. However, Jenny said she didn’t feel confident she would make a good Housewife.

Almost a Housewife

When talking about RHONY, Jenny acted like she was practically a shoo-in for the gig. She claimed Bethenny asked her to join the show nearly a decade ago. That means this would have been around Season 7 when Bethenny returned to the show after putting herself on pause.

It would probably take a little bit more than Bethenny’s recommendation for anyone to score a role on RHONY. Either way, Jenny said she didn’t move forward with the show because she felt like she didn’t fit the qualifications. Kudos to her for being self-aware.

“First of all, I don’t have the meanness anymore in my body. I don’t have the money to keep up with the Housewives and I don’t want to be catty. I want to be as positive as possible,” Jenny claimed.

Ultimately, it wouldn’t matter if Jenny joined the show or not. RHONY was never meant to live a long life. After Season 13, a slew of problematic behavior from certain cast members led to the show getting a full reboot.

If Jenny had been a part of the cast, it probably would have met the same fate. Over the last 10 years, she’s made headlines for spreading false information about vaccines. We’ve all seen enough of that on Bravo.

When she joined the other Orange County housewives in Season 7, Heather made an instant impact. Part of that was down to how she presented herself. She wore a stunning salmon pink ruffled dress for the season’s promotional shoot. Thus introducing herself as a woman of elegance, and somebody who has their finger firmly on the fashion pulse. She wore her hair down for the pictures and combined her dress with some simple accessories to show that sometimes, less is more.

The RHOC reunions are always an explosive time. Heather has worn many different looks and styles throughout her time on the show. This one from the Season 9 reunion stands out among a packed crowd, however. Heather’s striking eyes are highlighted by the bangs, and she somehow looks even younger thanks to the hairstyle. The reunion dress is a simple red, but those shiny scarlet heels with studs are anything BUT simple! She might not want to cuss you out, but if you go too far, she might not be able to help herself.

Sometimes all you need to do for a fashion moment is keep it casual. That is exactly what Heather has done with this look, wearing a gorgeous striped dress that looks perfect on her body. It may not be flashy or expensive, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t steal the spotlight in it. This is a woman who knows exactly when to take risks, and when to play it safe. More importantly, she knows exactly how to serve a look with a smart finish. Other housewives could take some notes!

Getting Glitzy

Working the red carpet is a fundamental task of any Real Housewives cast member. Heather knew to pull out all of the stops at this event in 2015, when she wore a matching black sparkly crop top, with a shiny knee-length skirt. Some beautiful heels and a red lip completed the look. Heather’s hair is very slightly tussled here, giving her the air of somebody who is excited to enjoy a night out on the town with a few drinks. She is the moment, and she knows it.

Wearing an entirely black outfit would for a lot of people not be a showstopping moment. Fortunately, Heather knows that when it comes to turning out a look, it is all about confidence. She exudes that on the red carpet at the premiere of RHOC Season 10. Old fans of ABC drama Desperate Housewives would be forgiven for thinking it was making a comeback. Heather looks as if she’s set to audition for the role of Bree Van de Kamp’s long-lost relative.

Denim Delight

We’re not sure how comfortable this outfit would have been against the skin, but sometimes you have to suffer for a fashion moment. Heather has thrown all doubt about the impact of denim to the side here, wearing a button-up dress with her signature smile. The choice of footwear isn’t as awe-inspiring as the rest of the outfit. But the denim offering alone is enough to earn this a spot in her best looks over the years. At least she wore shoes, which is more than can be said for Jenny McCarthy.

Pretty As A Picture

Classy. Stylish. Elegant. Luxurious. Those are just some of the words that could be used to describe Heather and what she wears. This striped dress isn’t something you could envision every other Real Housewives cast member wearing. For some, it would just be too simple. But Heather is not like everybody else, and she isn’t afraid to stand in the spotlight being her unique self whenever the moment calls. She is a true classic, and for that, she has to be celebrated.

Back To Business

Heather has enjoyed a career surge in recent years, and it has really elevated her fashion game. She can be seen here in character filming an episode of Young & Hungry for Freeform. The woven dress overlaid with exaggerated shoulders that drape down almost as a cape over Heather’s arms delivers one of her most memorable looks of all time. If this isn’t a costume she stole from the wardrobe department and took home, then she should be charged with missing out on a great opportunity.

Upping The Stakes

We’re rounding out Heather’s best looks from over the years with this incredible fashion offering from 2019. The actress visited Universal Studios Hollywood, and while a lot of people would have dressed down for the occasion, she decided to go all out. It’s something we are very thankful for. There’s a subtle crosshatch pattern on the dress, and as we all know by now, Heather loves to complete a look with some subtly-studded heels. Everything about this outfit is right. She looks incredible from head to toe.

At this point you’d think Emily Simpson would be used to people making fun of her husband, Shane Simpson. It’s just too easy to hate him on Real Housewives of Orange County. He puts Emily down on camera, isn’t funny, acts superior to everyone when he absolutely is not, and just plain grosses me out.

Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s husband, Sean Burke, however has been giving Shane a run for his money at the “Worst Husband on RHOC” title. Sean was all up in Gina Kirschenheiter’s face at Shannon Beador’s party during this week’s episode. While I initially thought Gina was blowing the text messages he sent her out of proportion, I can’t help but see Sean in a different light. And it’s not because of the dorky outfit he was wearing. It’s because he’s such an enabler. Anyways, Andy Cohen is also curious about the similarities between Sean and Shane.

As Us Weekly reports, Emily and Jenny McCarthy appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week. Towards the end of the show, Andy, always shady, introduced the gamed, “Who’s the bigger dork?” The first round of the game should have been easy enough, since Jenny’s on the show with Emily. But Jenny proved nothing makes sense to her at first glance.

In a truly cringe inducing moment, Jenny struggles to answer the question. Jenny “said it was ‘hard’ to choose between the two.” Emily then said, “Jenny! It’s not hard.” As this exchange is happening you can tell Jenny has not connected the dots between Emily and Shane. Then, it gets even more awkward when Jenny disagreed with Emily that it was “an easy choice.” “They’re both dorks, they’re both huge losers,” Jenny said on WWHL.

Andy chimed in and said to Jenny, “that’s her husband.” You can see Jenny recoil. “That’s right, I’m sorry,” she said covering her mouth to try to hide her embarrassment. “Yeah, seriously, you just called my husband a loser right in front of me,” Emily retorted.

Wow. This was legitimately awkward to watch. But it’s also a bright light in nerve-wracking week.

You know a Real Housewives conflict matters when cast members from a different series have an opinion on the situation.  Take the accusations of infidelity and intimidation that Brandi Glanville lobbed at Denise Richards.  Not only did Brandi claim that she and Denise had an affair, but that Denise demanded her discretion and silence about what allegedly happened between them.

Denise was grilled about it multiple times by the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast and had a hard time defending herself.  Though Brandi claimed Denise and husband Aaron Phypers had an open marriage, Denise’s level of hurt and humiliation over the rumors would contradict that claim.  Co-star Garcelle Beauvais questioned how Denise handled the situation, suggesting that she needed to stand up for herself.  Now, another housewife is suggesting how Denise could have handled the rumors differently.

Luann de Lesseps, pinnacle of decorum, spoke with Jenny McCarthy about how she would have responded to Brandi’s claims.  Hollywood Life transcribed the interview.

Luann started off by down-playing the said, “I don’t really see what’s wrong with that, I mean we live in such a world today- why not just cop to it, be like, ‘OK, so I slept with Brandi, who cares?'”

“I kind of feel bad for Denise,” Luann continued, she “really got caught in a precarious situation.”

If Aaron and Denise had an open marriage, the situation would hardly be “precarious.”  But regardless of her marital situation, Denise seems upset enough by having her character slandered.  She was called upon, mainly by Teddi Mellencamp, to prove herself a truthful person.

When forced into these situations, Denise flees the scene shouting “Bravo, Bravo, Bravo” hoping to get the scene edited out. Clearly, that didn’t work out for her.

Jenny asked what Luann thought of that practice.  Luann confirmed that cast members have no control over edits.

“That’s right,” Luann said, “so, she thought that if she did that, they wouldn’t use it.  But, guess what, they’re breaking that fourth wall down more and more these days…You can ‘Bravo, Bravo, Bravo’ all you want and they’re still going to be there.” Exactly.
