Last night, Calla Lily’s mask came off on The Masked Singer, revealing Teddi Mellencamp’s smiling face underneath. For those who watched Teddi on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you likely already guessed Teddi’s identity. That said, three out of four judges didn’t. And that was shocking, actually, because her clue package could not have been any clearer.

Last season, RHOBH’s Erika Jayne also starred on The Masked Singer. She entered this competition series as the beloved pup named Yorkie. But her clue package was just as easy to crack as Teddi’s. Or maybe I know far too many Real Housewives trivia facts.

Either way, The Masked Singer just said goodbye to another RHOBH star by way of Teddi. Here’s a recap detailing her clue packet, the judges’ predictions, and Teddi’s closing thoughts following her unmasking as the Calla Lily flower in Season 14.

All the clues Teddi Mellencamp was on The Masked Singer Season 14

Every contestant on The Masked Singer films a pre-recorded, lively teaser, complete with hints about their masked identities. These live-action videos air right before they perform. And that, plus the way each singer carries themselves, typically helps everyone guess their likenesses. However, only one judge correctly guessed Teddi’s name, so let’s take a look at Teddi’s clue package to understand why.

During week two, Calla Lily performed Rachel Platten’s hit track “Fight Song.” In her clue package, this character hinted about a recent, life-changing health diagnosis. And as RHOBH fans know, Teddi was diagnosed with stage II melanoma in October 2022. In February 2025, her cancer metastasized to her brain and lungs, and she remains in treatment today.

Then, during her appearance in week four, The Masked Singer observed the 250th birthday of the United States. So, Calla Lily suggested that one of her loved ones is well-known for their honoring of the U.S.A. “I can’t celebrate America and not mention an American legend,” she said, further teasing, “He’s an icon, but to me, he’s so much more.” Yes, she was talking about her father, recording artist John Mellencamp.

And finally, the judges received their last tangible clues: a gummy bear, a diamond house key, and a cougar T-shirt. Immediately, one of the judges realized Calla Lily’s identity.

Only one Masked Singer judge correctly guessed Teddi’s identity

After Teddi’s character performed “Jack and Diane,” one of her father’s iconic songs, the four judges continued to scratch their heads. However, this particular performance did make Jenny McCarthy rave about how much Calla Lily had “blossomed.” And then, in reviewing all of Calla Lily’s clues, this same judge’s ears finally perked.

“I see a house key, and I see a diamond. And that sounds like a Beverly Hills Housewife to me,” Jenny explained. “Put the clues together: gummy bear. Bear. Teddi. Cougar, dad’s nickname. Mellencamp. Cougar. This is Teddi Mellencamp from the Housewives,” Jenny accurately predicted.

But she also interjected some humbleness here by admitting that she “could be wrong.” However, the clue packages did point “in [Teddi’s] direction,” Jenny noted. And just in case she was right, Jenny next spoke to Teddi, who was still wearing her Calla Lily mask, saying, “I just honor your journey, girlfriend, and I feel so honored to have you here.”

After being voted off and forced to reveal her true identity, Teddi finally unmasked herself, making Jenny the only right judge on her panel.

Meanwhile, Rita Ora chose Selma Blair, while Ken Jeong guessed Christina Applegate. As for Robin Thicke, he stood ten toes down that Calla Lily was Danielle Fishel, since Danielle had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Teddi gave an emotional message as her Masked Singer journey came to an end

Following her unveiling on The Masked Singer, Teddi took everything in. And then, she offered an emotional statement about her journey.

“I’m not a singer by trade, clearly, and so that part was challenging for me,” she began. “Also, a big part of my memory has been askew since my brain surgery. So I was a little bit nervous. But I was excited to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new, and it felt like it gave me a little bit of life,” Teddi emotionally stressed.

Teddi’s life took a drastic turn following her 2025 health update. Instead of fighting over trivial matters on RHOBH, Teddi had no choice but to gather up her courage and fight for her life. In doing so, her days quickly filled with surgeries and treatment options to knock back her cancer. So, when we heard Teddi admit that The Masked Singer injected “a little bit of life” back into her steps, reality quickly settled into our hearts.

In case you missed it, Christina Applegate had a minor crash out after watching the latest episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The former Married with Children actress felt extra frustrated with how the cast treated the yacht crew throughout the Below Deck Down Under crossover. The cast forgot to bring their manners on the boat, and Christina didn’t mince her words when calling them out.

Christina Applegate wasn’t impressed by the RHOSLC cast’s interactions with the BDDU crew

The RHOLSC cast has been delivering must-see TV throughout this Below Deck crossover event. However, after RHOSLC Season 6 Episode 8 aired, she went online and blasted the Housewives for being disrespectful toward the crew, particularly Captain Jason Chambers and Daisy Kelliher.

“The treatment of the crew and my pals by the women was super gross,” Christina wrote in another post that’s still up. “I hope they apologized to Jason and Daisy. Wow.”

According to Christina, she feels extra protective of the Below Deck crew because she’s befriended them in real life. She thought the RHOSLC cast could have taken a moment from hurling rumors about mistresses and farting husbands to acknowledge the crew’s hard work.

“I know you’re shooting your show at the same time. But seriously not to even acknowledge the captain and chief stew first officer and chef Ben as they brought out your food was way not cool,” Christina wrote in another since-deleted post.

Of course, rude charter guests are part of the Below Deck experience. In comparison, the RHOSLC ladies weren’t nearly as awful as Jill Zarin was when she took her yacht trip. Either way, we’ll get to hear the yacht crew’s perspective on the behavior when the next season of BDDU airs. In the meantime, Christina followed up with another post, making it clear that she didn’t want any beef with the RHOSLC cast.

“To the SLC ladies I want to apologize,” Christina wrote in a follow-up post. “I was just watching and I was a bit shocked. But I realize you’re shooting a show too. And you’re my favorite franchise! Much love.

Christina Applegate was almost a Housewife! But Christina and Jamie-Lynn are both big fans, watching way more reality TV than they should.

On the latest episode of Christina and Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s podcast Messy, they interviewed Only Murders in the Building star Martin Short. Martin admitted that he’s not a fan of reality TV. During the conversation, Christina admitted that she was once offered her very own diamond on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“I was asked to be a Housewife for Beverly Hills,” the Married with Children star announced, to the surprise of both Martin and Jamie-Lynn. “They asked me to be one 10 years ago … I ended up becoming really good friends with the executive producer of it because our kids went to school together.”

“The worst Housewife”

The Dead to Me star further shared that when she asked her friend if he thought she would make a good Housewife, he told her, “It would have been the most boring sh*t I have ever seen in my life.” She agreed wholeheartedly.

“I wouldn’t have shown up to any dinners,” she says. “I would have been in my sweatpants, and I’d be laying in bed. What fun is that? No. I would be the worst Housewife.”

What I wouldn’t give to see her take on Erika Jayne or make fun of pretentious Dorit Kemsley, though. And I could see her being besties with quirky Sutton Stracke. What a missed opportunity!

Even though she never became a star of reality TV, she loves watching it. “In the two years that I have been watching from my bed,” she laughs, “I have probably watched 300 hours of reality television.”

When Martin asked whether she would be friends with any of the Housewives in real life, Christina said she prefers the Below Deck people.

“I’m kind of friends with some of them now,” she said. “The stews and stuff like that. I have slipped into their DMs and become friends with, like, Captain Lee [Rosbach] — he’s amazing — Kate Chastain, and Daisy [Kelliher]. I’m more [attracted to] the Below Deck people because they are interesting.”

Bette wants her diamond

While Christina would rather watch the show than be part of it, another Hollywood star would love her very own diamond. Adding the great Bette Middler to the RHOBH cast would really be the Wind Beneath My Wings. 

In March, Bette put her longing to join the cast out into the universe when she posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Is it too late for me to become a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills? I’ve never watched it, but I am in the mood to talk some sh*t. And to get paid for it? A dream! #RHOBH.”

Andy Cohen said he was all in if only she were serious. “She would be the grand dame of Beverly Hills in a second,” Andy predicted. But, realistically, he questioned whether she would enjoy the lack of privacy after working with her on a 48 Hours profile back in the ’90s.

“She did not care for this process of ours at all,” Andy recalled. “My only concern, as I was really thinking this through, is I don’t know that she would love us just showing up with cameras running, gunning her.”

Still, Andy says, “I will be very excited for Bette Midler to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills … Also, I mean, Bette Midler is a superstar. How much would that cost because she said she wants to make a lot of money to sh*t talk?”

Sadly, Crystal Kung Minkoff was stripped of her diamond this week. We’ve got one available if either of these Hollywood icons would like to claim it.

It’s no secret that Christina Applegate is a huge Bravo fan. As far as the franchises and stars that feed her fanaticism, lately, it’s been The Real Housewives of Potomac and Robyn Dixon.

But as RHOP Season 8 draws to a close, viewers remain unsure of what Season 9 might look like. Potomac is among the Housewives franchises receiving some shake-ups, with Candiace Dillard Bassett recently announcing her departure from the show.

Recently, word on the street has it that Robyn will also leave the show. Fans have been speculating on the matter for a few weeks. Apparently, Christina only just caught wind of the rumors.

Christina pleads with Andy to keep Robyn on RHOP

On April 9, Christina shared a tweet saying, “What in the actual f*ck? Why is Robin [sic] Dixon not coming back to Real Housewives of Potomac??????? Noooooo!!!!!” She tagged Andy Cohen, demanding, “You need to explain this to me. She is my fave housewife of all the franchises! @Andy call me now! You don’t have my number but ya know. I love you.”

Now, firstly, just to clear something up, Robyn’s departure from the show has not been confirmed. Either Christina knows something the public doesn’t, or she was duped by a bit of online hearsay. So, for now, she can remain at least somewhat at ease. Of course, in the cut-throat world of Bravo, anyone can leave at any time.

But secondly, Christina’s tweet drew quite a response from Twitter users. The general sentiment was disbelief that Robyn could be anyone’s favorite Housewife. “What does she bring to the show that would make her your fave?” one reply asked. “Another indication that the HW Twitter fans are completely out of touch with the average Bravo viewer,” another reply said.

Nevertheless, some replies shared Christina’s fear that Robyn would get the boot. As one user put it, “i want robyn back on too!”

Now, Below Deck Sailing Yacht favorite, Daisy Kelliher, is revealing a surprise friendship with award winning actress, Christina Applegate. Though in this case, the two have never met in person.

Daisy calls it a “surreal” connection

The Married … with Children star is a self-proclaimed “Uber weirdo fan” of the Below Deck franchise. And Daisy exclusively told Dailymail.com that Christina reached out to her on social media.

The chief stew labeled her friendship with the Hollywood star as a “huge support.” They’ve discussed Christina’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis, among many topics, over FaceTime.

Is the Irish native starstruck? She did call the friendship “surreal.” When asked how being a Bravolebrity has changed her life, Daisy replied, “It hasn’t changed dramatically, but there has been small things and I’ve definitely had celebrities reach out to me, which is very surreal.”

“I’ve had Christina Applegate. She’s a huge Bravo fan, and she reached out to me via Instagram, and was massively supportive. She said, ‘Hey Daisy’, and we FaceTime and stuff – she’s just so nice,” she added.

Christina and Daisy haven’t met in person, but their connection is strong regardless. It all started when the mother-of-one reached out to the yachtie.

“She was just a huge support with so much going on, and we just talked about everything,” Daisy stated.

“We talked about what she was going through because obviously she’s sick with MS, so we were talking about what she’s going through and about what I was going through, and honestly, we talked [to each other] like two friends,” Daisy said of their conversations.

However, the reality TV star hopes to meet her famous friend in person one day.

“Hopefully we’ll meet up,” Daisy concluded. “She lives in Los Angeles and I’m in Los Angeles all the time, but she’s busy with her family and I know she is taking it easy, and keeping all of her energy for her MS, but hopefully we’ll make time.”

What may have come as a surprise was the actress’ appearance at the 2024 Emmy Award ceremony. When Christina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, she chose to step further away from the public eye. As such, it was a pleasant surprise to see her at the Emmys – and not just see her, but hear her voice and watch her present an award.

When the audience gave her a standing ovation, she joked, “Oh my God, you’re totally shaming me with disability by standing up.” Despite the levity, it was a bit of a hard night for the star. So, how did she unwind? Well, one can only guess.

Christina uses some classic Bravo to take the edge off

Adir Abergel, Christina’s hairstylist, spoke with PEOPLE about how they prepared for the ceremony that night. “Getting ready for big events can be overwhelming,” he explained. “I focused on being present and enjoyed every moment together.”

Adir continued, “We were having fun! Christina and I have been friends for a long time and she is someone that I love deeply. Showing up for her on that night was very important to me.” He added, “We were chilling, laughing and watching Real Housewives of New York,” he says. “It was like catching up with my best friend.”

That only leaves the question of which season they were watching. Ultimately, he expressed just how proud he was of Christina considering all she’s given the public.

“I just think about the immense contributions she has given us throughout the years, and how she still gives so much! Her career, her work ethics inspire me deeply.”
