Last night, Calla Lily’s mask came off on The Masked Singer, revealing Teddi Mellencamp’s smiling face underneath. For those who watched Teddi on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you likely already guessed Teddi’s identity. That said, three out of four judges didn’t. And that was shocking, actually, because her clue package could not have been any clearer.

Last season, RHOBH’s Erika Jayne also starred on The Masked Singer. She entered this competition series as the beloved pup named Yorkie. But her clue package was just as easy to crack as Teddi’s. Or maybe I know far too many Real Housewives trivia facts.

Either way, The Masked Singer just said goodbye to another RHOBH star by way of Teddi. Here’s a recap detailing her clue packet, the judges’ predictions, and Teddi’s closing thoughts following her unmasking as the Calla Lily flower in Season 14.

All the clues Teddi Mellencamp was on The Masked Singer Season 14

What a heartfelt performance from our favorite flower, CallaLilyMask! ? #TheMaskedSinger

Every contestant on The Masked Singer films a pre-recorded, lively teaser, complete with hints about their masked identities. These live-action videos air right before they perform. And that, plus the way each singer carries themselves, typically helps everyone guess their likenesses. However, only one judge correctly guessed Teddi’s name, so let’s take a look at Teddi’s clue package to understand why.

During week two, Calla Lily performed Rachel Platten’s hit track “Fight Song.” In her clue package, this character hinted about a recent, life-changing health diagnosis. And as RHOBH fans know, Teddi was diagnosed with stage II melanoma in October 2022. In February 2025, her cancer metastasized to her brain and lungs, and she remains in treatment today.

Then, during her appearance in week four, The Masked Singer observed the 250th birthday of the United States. So, Calla Lily suggested that one of her loved ones is well-known for their honoring of the U.S.A. “I can’t celebrate America and not mention an American legend,” she said, further teasing, “He’s an icon, but to me, he’s so much more.” Yes, she was talking about her father, recording artist John Mellencamp.

And finally, the judges received their last tangible clues: a gummy bear, a diamond house key, and a cougar T-shirt. Immediately, one of the judges realized Calla Lily’s identity.

After Teddi’s character performed “Jack and Diane,” one of her father’s iconic songs, the four judges continued to scratch their heads. However, this particular performance did make Jenny McCarthy rave about how much Calla Lily had “blossomed.” And then, in reviewing all of Calla Lily’s clues, this same judge’s ears finally perked.

“I see a house key, and I see a diamond. And that sounds like a Beverly Hills Housewife to me,” Jenny explained. “Put the clues together: gummy bear. Bear. Teddi. Cougar, dad’s nickname. Mellencamp. Cougar. This is Teddi Mellencamp from the Housewives,” Jenny accurately predicted.

But she also interjected some humbleness here by admitting that she “could be wrong.” However, the clue packages did point “in [Teddi’s] direction,” Jenny noted. And just in case she was right, Jenny next spoke to Teddi, who was still wearing her Calla Lily mask, saying, “I just honor your journey, girlfriend, and I feel so honored to have you here.”

After being voted off and forced to reveal her true identity, Teddi finally unmasked herself, making Jenny the only right judge on her panel.

Meanwhile, Rita Ora chose Selma Blair, while Ken Jeong guessed Christina Applegate. As for Robin Thicke, he stood ten toes down that Calla Lily was Danielle Fishel, since Danielle had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Teddi gave an emotional message as her Masked Singer journey came to an end

Following her unveiling on The Masked Singer, Teddi took everything in. And then, she offered an emotional statement about her journey.

“I’m not a singer by trade, clearly, and so that part was challenging for me,” she began. “Also, a big part of my memory has been askew since my brain surgery. So I was a little bit nervous. But I was excited to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new, and it felt like it gave me a little bit of life,” Teddi emotionally stressed.

Teddi’s life took a drastic turn following her 2025 health update. Instead of fighting over trivial matters on RHOBH, Teddi had no choice but to gather up her courage and fight for her life. In doing so, her days quickly filled with surgeries and treatment options to knock back her cancer. So, when we heard Teddi admit that The Masked Singer injected “a little bit of life” back into her steps, reality quickly settled into our hearts.

Three cheers for Calla Lily, otherwise known as Teddi.

The Masked Singer streams on Hulu, while Real Housewives of Beverly Hills streams on Peacock.

Dancing with the Stars Season 34 is officially in the can. Up next for some of these contestants and their pros is the DWTS 2026 Tour. Recently, the cast list for next year’s tour dropped. Notably absent from this list, with confirmed statements as to why, however, was Rylee Arnold.

Nevertheless, many fans are likely wondering about Robert Irwin. This man won Season 34, so will he return for several additional live rounds, or, unlike his adoring fans, have his abs had enough of these ballrooms? Similarly, what about his pro? If not Robert, then who can viewers anticipate seeing, and where exactly is the 2026 tour headed?

We have all of these answers and more to help prepare our readers for the DWTS 2026 tour, which kicks off shortly.

What are the Dancing with the Stars 2026 tour dates?

The tour dates for Dancing with the Stars 2026 start on January 22, 2026, in Akron, Ohio. This year’s tour includes over 74 dates, alongside a stacked list of major cities, including Boston, New York City, and Atlanta. However, tickets are already on sale via the official website for the tour. They are not cheap, and they are selling out fast, so check out the various tour stops below and decide shortly whether or not you want in before it’s too late.

With 74 dates to cover, we’ll only give you a brief overview of where this tour is heading. For further specifics, please refer to the website above.

In January, the DWTS 2026 Tour will make stops in Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. As for February, Canada, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan, Indianapolis, Iowa, Missouri, and Ohio are all scheduled.

In March, the tour stops include Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Meanwhile, in April, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Arizona are all on the lineup.

May 13 brings the DWTS 2026 Tour to a close. This live show takes place in Akron, OH, the same city where this tour originated. However, before this date in May arrives, fans can also score May-time tickets in Utah, Nebraska, Missouri, Michigan, Canada, New York, and also, Pennsylvania.

DWTS 2026 celebrities and pros confirmed

During the DWTS Season 34 finale, we learned that seven stars were attached to the live shows, if only for select dates. And yes, Robert, the winner is signed on.

Kicking this tour off is Danielle Fishel, who will appear as a special guest co-host until the February 15 tour date. Hopefully, she is taking this new gig on with the approval of her son. Regardless, Danielle will also return in April for another four tour dates.

Overlapping with Danielle are Alix Earle and Andy Richter, who are guest-starring during the February 14 and 15 shows. Andy will then stay on as the co-host until the March 8 show in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Once Andy steps away, Elaine Hendrix will take over the co-hosting duties during the March 10 to April 4 tour dates. After these dates wrap, Danielle will step back in, but only from April 9 to 12. Following Danielle, Andy returns, starting on April 15 and ending on May 3 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Finally, Andy will have some help at various junctures. To start, Dylan Efron is his guest for six shows. Dylan is taking on the live tapings for April 15 through April 19.

Meanwhile, Jordan Chiles and Robert will be by Andy’s side for all live shows, starting April 20 and ending on April 30. And finally, for the newly added shows in May, Elaine will return as the guest co-host. But what about the pros?

The pros returning for the DWTS 2026 tour are Witney Carson, Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Britt Stewart, and Hailey Bills. Hailey is Jenna’s niece. She is also a troupe member.

Why Rylee Arnold won’t be on the Dancing with the Stars tour in 2026

As US Weekly reported, Rylee will not be joining her Season 34 cast on this tour. She made this announcement on her since-expired Instagram Stories, penning, “So sad I won’t be on the DWTS tour this year. Being on tour the last two years was seriously the most amazing experience ever. I’ve made the best memories and met the best people.”

However, she continued, “This year, I had to make the hard decision to sit [the tour] out and focus on my health, especially with managing my Type 1 diabetes, which can be tricky on the road.” Even still, Rylee stressed, “I’m gonna miss it SO much, but I’ll definitely be cheering everyone on and can’t wait to come watch!”

Rylee learned she had diabetes when she was 15 years old. As she later told Women’s Health, “The reality set in on how difficult managing this disease was going to be and how much it was going to change everything.” Overall, the diagnosis process felt “so overwhelming, Rylee stressed. “My biggest thought was, ‘Am I going to be able to dance again?’”

Thankfully, Rylee is still able to partake in her craft. She now wears a Dexcom device, which monitors her glucose levels throughout the day.

Dancing with the Stars is available to stream on Disney+.

It is the Season 34 finale of Dancing with the Stars, and five couples competed to win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. This incredible finale featured tons of dancing and tears before a new Mirrorball champ was crowned. This season has been fabulous from start to finish.

This week, unlike previous seasons, each couple danced three times. They performed a new style selected by the judges in the Judges’ Choice round. Then they danced a stressful Instant Dance, finding out their style and music just five minutes before they performed. And finally, the competitors left it all on the ballroom floor in their Freestyle.

Last week, everyone was shocked when The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt and her partner, Mark Ballas, were sent home just shy of the finale. I did not have their elimination on my Season 34 bingo card. I expected to see them quickstepping into the finale.

What happened in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 finale?

The opening number, set to The Communards’ Never Can Say Goodbye, was fun and energetic, and featured all the eliminated contestants and their pros. Joey Pizzi choreographed the routine. I also loved the elegant and sexy performance by the DWTS 2026 tour members, set to Sapphire by Ed Sheeran. Of course, Mandy Moore choreographed this gem.

And I was over the moon to see Season 33 champion and Bachelor star Joey Graziadei hit the floor with Jenna Johnson to Tanguera by Fabio Hager Sexteto. Their traditional tango was smoldering and passionate. I loved it!

Who got the top score of the night in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 finale?

Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy had the highest scores in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 finale.

Alix Earle and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, topped the leaderboard with a perfect score of 90 points. The duo’s Judges’ Choice samba, set to Hip Hip Chin Chin by Club des Belugas, was spicy. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba coached Alix and Val during rehearsals.

“She cranked up the heat to full blast!” judge Bruno Tonioli stated. “As a performer, you have become an absolute star.” For their instant dance, Alix randomly drew the cha-cha. They did a great job, and the judges loved it.

And in their Freestyle, Alix channeled her newfound confidence into a Paso Doble and Argentine Tango-flavored routine. She danced to Maneater by Nelly Furtado and Sports Car by Tate McRae. Her performance was powerful, super sexy, and radiated confidence. “Alix, you are an absolute superstar,” judge Derek Hough stated. “I’m just really touched by you,” Carrie Ann said. “And you dance with your heart open – passionately.” Alix has improved so much this season, and I’m glad that she made it into the finale.

What were the judge’s scores in DWTS Season 34 finale?

  • Alix and Val (Samba, Instant, Freestyle) – 90 points
  • Robert and Witney (Quickstep, Instant, Freestyle) – 89 points
  • Jordan and Ezra (Paso Doble, Instant, Freestyle) – 89 points
  • Dylan and Daniella – (Paso Doble, Instant, Freestyle) – 88 points
  • Elaine and Alan (Rumba, Instant, Freestyle) – 87 points

The race for the Mirrorball is tight. Only three points separated Alix, at the top of the leaderboard, from Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten at the bottom. And all the performances from the final five were phenomenal!

Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach’s Instant Dance foxtrot to Ordinary by Alex Warren was stunning. Their routine was sensual and elegant. “That for me was one of the best foxtrots from a man – ever,” Derek stated. “Len would adore it, by the way,” Bruno added. High praise indeed.

Plus, Elaine and Alan’s Judges’ Choice rumba to Take My Breath Away by Jae Hall was gorgeous. Derek went into rehearsals to give the couple some pointers. The duo’s romantic and sensual dance was breathtaking. “That was exquisite. It truly was,” Derek stated. They earned a well-deserved perfect score for this performance.

Who won the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy?

Robert Irwin and Witney Carson won DWTS Season 34 and took home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy!

Elaine and Alan came in fifth place, while Dylan and Daniella nabbed third. Next, Jordan Chiles and her partner, Ezra Sosa, came in third place. Then, it came down to Alix and Val and Robert Irwin and his partner, Witney Carson.

Finally, Robert and Witney were announced as the winners, with Alix and Val taking second place. Hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough noted that the voting margin between the two pairs was small. When asked how he felt, Robert stated, “My sister said it best, thank you for changing my life.” As you may recall, Robert’s sister, Bindi Irwin, won Season 21 of DWTS. “I’m so grateful for Robert, honestly. I feel like I already won with him as my friend, and I can’t thank you enough for this gift,” Witney said.

Was Robert winning the Mirrorball a surprise? No. He was a frontrunner all season, and even with a rib injury, turned in fantastic performances. And coming into the show, he had no dance or performance experience.

Although his Judges’ Choice quickstep had a misstep, it was still entertaining. The pair’s Instant Dance cha-cha to DNCE’s Cake By The Ocean wowed the judges. However, Robert and Witney’s Freestyle, set to Black & Gold by Sam Sparro and The Nights by Avicii, was impressive. It was fun, dynamic, and energetic. “You have just done the most beautiful Freestyle,” Derek stated. “You are a dancer.” Indeed!

Final thoughts on Dancing with the Stars Season 34 finale

I mean, this season was mind-blowing. In addition, the Freestyles for Season 34 were jaw-dropping. Jordan and Ezra’s hip-hop-infused routine, featuring a guest spot by her friend, Season 24 DWTS contestant Normani Kordei, ignited the ballroom. “That is the best Freestyle I have ever seen in 20 seasons, hands down,” Carrie Ann stated. WOW!

Plus, Elaine’s salute to the life of a dancer had a Broadway feel, complete with fellow Season 34 competitor Andy Richter playing a director. She danced her Freestyle to I Hope I Get It (From A Chorus Line) by District 78. It was like taking a peek behind the scenes of a Broadway production.

And Dylan and Daniella’s Freestyle, which was in a contemporary vein, featured them dancing in a pool of water at the end. “Beautiful, poetic, the movement had such wonderful lyricism,” Bruno said of the routine, set to Lewis Capaldi’s Something in the Heavens. Dylan has fallen in love with dance, and his journey and improvement have been amazing.

Overall, this has been one of the best seasons of DWTS – ever. While embracing new ideas, combined with a nod to the past, the show has recaptured its joy. I didn’t want this season to end, and I am already wondering who will grace the ballroom next time.

You can watch Dancing with the Stars Season 34 on Disney+.

Although Danielle Fishel is alive and well, her six-year-old son might tell you otherwise. Before getting the boot from Dancing with the Stars, Danielle said that her son was struggling to cope with her busy dance schedule. Things got so stressful for the little guy that he told his teacher his mom “died.” It’s morbid, but it’s just another example of the toll this show takes on everyone involved.

Danielle Fishel’s son is struggling with her busy Dancing with the Stars schedule

Last week, Danielle went on her podcast, Pod Meets World, and told her former Boy Meets World costars how her son dealt with her participation on the show. From wardrobe fittings to hair appointments to camera-blocking, Season 34 has been a full-time job.

While juggling all of those responsibilities, Danielle said she got a call from her son’s school. Her six-year-old Adler made a comment that warranted a check-in from his teacher.

“It’s his teacher,’ Danielle said of the unexpected phone call. “She says, ‘So, we had a little bit of an issue today with Adler and I wanted to talk to you about it.’”

The teacher went on to explain how Adler was having trouble “self-starting on some of his work.” Adler also mentioned feeling “very stressed” and said his “dad inputted a lot of information on the computer wrong and then got fired.” Then, he threw out the big bomb. He said, “Also, my mom died.”

“None of this is true,” Danielle clarified.

Fast forward a little later, and Danielle recalled another moment with her son where he desperately wanted to hang out with her. She told him she couldn’t because she had a rehearsal, and that’s when he broke down.

Danielle recalled him saying, “I hate this job! Why did you take this job? All you do is dance, dance, dance, dance. That’s all you do! You never get to hang out with me and Keaton anymore. I want you to quit. Are you going to quit or not?”

“He said, ‘I just need to know if you’re going to quit your job.’ I said, ‘Mommy’s not going to quit her job.’ And he said, ‘Why?’ I said, ‘Well, a couple of reasons. One, Mommy really loves her job. And two, because this job is not forever, and I made a commitment to the job,’” Danielle continued.

The episode of this podcast was pre-recorded, so Danielle had no idea her days on DWTS were numbered. Danielle wound up getting eliminated in Episode 8, after her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame dance. Adler might have manifested that one.

Dancing with the Stars continues on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+.

Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars delivered a rocking night in the ballroom. For Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night, the contestants performed twice. They danced with their partner, as well as participating in a team routine.

Last week, actress Elaine Hendrix suffered a rib injury and couldn’t dance on Halloween Night. Consequently, she was cleared to dance this week. In addition, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck and her partner, Jan Ravnik, were sent home. They danced a contemporary number, set to Taylor Swift’s hit Look What You Made Me Do. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to secure their ballroom safety.

Meanwhile, a guest judge grabbed a paddle. This week, Hall of Famer Flavor Flav of Public Enemy joined the judges to share his impression of the performances. He was also looking forward to seeing “grace” and “preciseness” in the dances… Meanwhile, the duo that tops the leaderboard after the first round of competition will be immune from next week’s relay dances. They will also win bonus points for next week.

What happened in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 8?

The Paso Doble, jive, jazz, contemporary, and Viennese Waltz were the styles on our ticket for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night. Further, the fantastic opening number set to Def Leppard’s Pour Some Sugar On Me was choreographed by Britt Stewart. In addition, I also loved the fun DWTS tour group performance, choreographed by Mandy Moore. They danced to Outkast’s Hey Ya!.

Meanwhile, for the team dances, hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough each joined a team. Plus, Chicago performed 25 or 6 to 4 for Team Chicago’s routine. Team Chicago’s captain Danielle Fishel, along with Alfonso, Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, and Whitney Leavitt. killed it. Their routine was Blue Brothers-inspired. Alfonso brought out his Carlton moves, and Jordan performed athletic tricks. It was fun and energetic. Carrie Ann Inaba called the routine “so tight, so clean,” while Flavor Flav declared, “Team Chicago is the bomb diggety, baby!” In the end, Team Chicago scored 40 out of 40 points.

Next up, Team Kool, whose captain was Andy Richter, was joined by Julianne, Elaine, Alix Earle, and Robert Irwin. The group danced to Kool & the Gang’s hit, Celebration. In this routine, Julianne was attempting to rein in a wild graduation. It was fun-filled and entertaining. And loveable Andy even did his version of the Carlton! Judge Derek Hough stated, “The other team was, I think, tighter and more in sync as a group. I loved it from start to finish.” The team scored 38 out of 40 points, with Derek and Flavor Flav flashing their 10 paddles.

Who was eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 8?

Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov were eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 8!

Whitney and her partner, Mark Ballas, landed in the bottom three along with Andy and Emma Slater and Danielle and her pro, Pasha Paskov. Once again, Andy was saved, and Danielle and Pasha were sent home. The duo came in seventh place.  It seems that Danielle had struggled with her emotional contemporary routine to Dream On by Aerosmith. Judge Bruno Tonioli called out a “tiny mishap in the dance.” He added that Danielle “should be proud of yourself and what you have achieved.” Carrie Ann stated, “You told that story. Well done!”

For her part, Danielle said that her DWTS experience “has meant everything. It has truly been life-changing, and every single moment, including this one, has been joyous.” I love Danielle’s positive outlook. In a sweet moment, Pasha told Danielle, “You are now my friend for life.”

Who got the top score of the night in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 8?

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas had the highest score in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 8.

Whitney and Mark’s dramatic Paso Doble to Ozzy Osbourne’s No More Tears was fabulous. With the top three couples all dancing the Paso Doble, the pressure was high. In the dance, Whitney portrayed a spider, while Mark was trapped in her web.

“That Paso rocked. It was classic, it was edgy, it was entangled, and totally metal,” Derek stated. “That was perfection.” Flavor Flav added, “You’re timing was on point, you hear me?” Carrie Ann called the routine “sick and amazing.” However, she also pointed out that Whitney had “stumbles” with her foot.

The couple scored 39 out of 40 points, with Carrie Ann the only judge not awarding a 10. Plus, Whitney and Alix and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, tied at the top of the leaderboard after the first round. Since Whitney and Mark had the highest scores across the season, they won immunity from the dance relay and secured two bonus points for next week. However, this is the second week that Whitney has landed in the bottom three. Could her fan support be slipping?

What were the judge’s scores in DWTS Season 34 Episode 8?

  • Whitney and Mark (Paso Doble) – 79 points
  • Jordan and Ezra (Jazz) – 78 points
  • Alix and Val (Paso Doble) – 77 points
  • Dylan and Daniella (Jive) – 76 points
  • Robert and Witney (Paso Doble) – 76 points
  • Elaine and Alan (Viennese Waltz) – 75 points
  • Danielle and Pasha (Contemporary) – 74 points
  • Andy and Emma (Contemporary) – 68 points

The ballroom delivered hard-rocking performances. Alix and Val’s Paso Doble to Livin’ on a Prayer by Bon Jovi was sexy and powerful. “Well, well, well. Alix, the Paso Doble bombshell – sexy as hell!” Bruno remarked. “So strong, so grounded, so powerful,” Carrie Ann stated. The duo earned 39 out of 40 points.

Plus, Jordan embodied Tina Turner for her jazz to River Deep – Mountain High by Ike and Tina Turner. Her costume was on point, and her dancing and tricks were killer. Jordan even shook her booty while dancing on the judges’ table. “I’m giving you a 55,” Flavor Flav stated, and he held to his promise. He held up two 5’s to signal giving out a perfect 10.

In addition, I was spellbound by Robert and Whitney’s passionate and seductive Paso Doble to Icky Thump by The White Stripes. “The thunder from Down Under has unleashed a grandiose Paso Doble,” Bruno said. However, Carrie Ann called out some “little wobbles” during the routine.

Final thoughts on Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 8

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night was epic! Elaine and Alan Bersten’s enchanting Viennese Waltz to What the World Needs Now Is Love by Dionne Warwick thrilled me. It was graceful and beautiful. “That really was a sumptuous performance,” Bruno commented. “Extremely elegant, light, flowing, smooth.” Obviously, the duo earned their best scores of the season and a 10 from Flavor Flav. You would never know that she was injured.

Additionally, Dylan and Daniella performed a jive to Elton John’s hit, I’m Still Standing. Let us all take a moment to reflect on Bruno’s epic dance moves in that music video. They incorporated some of Bruno’s moves in the performance, and Dylan showed his abs. “Why you didn’t wear my outfit?” Bruno stated. “I promise you, no one would have looked at your feet.” Oh, Bruno!

And Andy and Emma delivered a heartfelt contemporary routine about their friendship, which focused on emotion, and not Andy’s comedic gifts. Finally, I thought that both teams delivered entertaining routines. Having Alfonso and Julianne join in was a fun twist.

Next week, we will celebrate the 20th birthday of DWTS. And former host Tom Bergeron is returning as a guest judge! I love it!

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.

The upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night on Dancing with the Stars is taking a toll on Danielle Fishel. The former Boy Meets World actress will dance to Dream On by Aerosmith. It’s a classic, but during the latest episode of her podcast, she explained how preparing for the contemporary routine with her partner, Pasha Pashkov, has unexpectedly triggered a lot of negative emotions.

Danielle Fishel has some worries about her next Dancing with the Stars performance

Throughout Season 34 of DWTS, Danielle has been documenting her experience on the Danielle with the Stars podcast. During the November 2 episode, she spoke with former pro Louis van Amstel. The pair had an extremely candid conversation about how the Aerosmith performance has touched her personally.

“We are telling the story about how difficult it can be to be a woman in a society where we are somehow always too much and also never enough,” Danielle explained. “No matter what choice you make, whether you work inside the home or outside the home. If you choose to work outside, then you’re selfish, and your children need you, and where is their mother? And if you work inside the home, then you are boring and don’t have interests.”

She continued, “And if you get Botox and fillers, then you’re not aging gracefully. And if you age gracefully, then you look old and ugly. And if you are too thin, you’re told to eat a burger, and if you gain weight, you’re told to get off the couch.”

“There’s no winning, and having been in the public eye and on TV since I was 10 years old, I have been under a microscope, and my choices have been scrutinized,” she said. “I’ve made terrible mistakes … And I’m resistant to it because it’s triggering so many things in me.”

Danielle told Louis that the process of preparing for the dance triggered a wave of “disordered eating” and “a lot of negative self-talk.” She said that the emotional weight is making her not want to perform, but she’s trying to lean into the experience.

“You’ve made it so far,” Louis told her. “You can take the nerves and give up, or you take the nerves and switch on, use the adrenaline and say, ‘People at home, watch this.’”

Danielle thanked Louis for his kind words amid a “rough week.” She said his support and advice, both on and off the pod, have helped her “wake up.” Now, she’s ready to take the floor.

Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays on Disney+ and ABC at 8/7c. You can stream it the next day on Hulu.

Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars thrilled us once again with its Halloween Night show. The celebration of all things spooky and haunted has made this theme a fan favorite. Plus, two-time Mirrorball champion Cheryl Burke was back in the ballroom. This time, she was a guest judge, and her feedback was tough but constructive. I love how DWTS is bringing back some OGs to honor the show’s 20th birthday.

For Cheryl, “authenticity” from each couple was key. She also quoted the legendary judge Len Goodman, commenting, “Careful doesn’t win Dancing with the Stars.”  I love that she gave Len a shout-out. However, is it even Halloween if DWTS alum Sasha Farber isn’t pranking people in the ballroom?

Last time, Pentatonix star Scott Hoying and his partner, Rylee Arnold, were eliminated. Their contemporary routine failed to wow the judges, and some flaws in his technique were evident. Meanwhile, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas nabbed the first 10s of Season 34. Now, nine couples are still battling to take home the Mirrorball.

What happened in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 7?

Once again, our dance card was filled with a variety of sinister styles, including the tango, Argentine Tango, Viennese waltz, and Paso Doble. We also had a jazz routine and two contemporary numbers to celebrate Halloween.

Unfortunately, Elaine Hendrix suffered a rib injury during rehearsal, and she was medically evaluated at the hospital. She was cleared to continue in the competition, but couldn’t dance tonight. So, Elaine and Alan Bersten had to be judged on their most recent, complete rehearsal footage. I hope that you have a speedy recovery, Elaine!

Plus, each couple also took part in the Dance Monster-thon. All the couples danced at the same time, trying to earn extra points. In addition, the DWTS troupe danced an Argentine Tango to Sympathy is a Knife by Charli xcx, featuring Ariana Grande. And new pro, and Taylor Swift’s back-up dancer, Jan Ravnik, and Jenna Johnson danced a sexy and wicked contemporary routine to Taylor’s new hit, CANCELLED! I loved it!

Who was eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 7?

Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik were eliminated in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 7!

Both stars from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Whitney and Jen Affleck, landed in the bottom three, along with Elaine and Alan. However, it was Jen and her partner, Jan, who were given the ballroom boot.

The couple danced a contemporary routine to Taylor Swift’s hit, Look What You Made Me Do. Contemporary is Jan’s specialty, so he was excited about this routine. In their performance, Jen was a villain trying to murder Jan.

“That beginning was off the charts,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba told the couple. “There is still a bit of inconsistency.” Meanwhile, Derek Hough praised Jan, whose lack of ballroom experience has been criticized by some former DWTS pros. And Cheryl said, “Your best dance, for sure, this season. I really would love to see unity.” When their points from the Monster-thon were added, Jen and Jan came in seventh place.

After their elimination, Jen explained how she felt about her time in the ballroom. “This experience has meant everything to me. I cannot wait to talk about this in the future with my kids,” the MomTok influencer stated. “I did this for my kids, and I’m so grateful for the experience. Thank you for everyone rooting for me at home.” She added, “I can’t tell you how much it meant to me.” Meanwhile, Jan kept his praise for his partner simple. “She’s a rockstar,” he stated.

Who got the top score of the night in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 7?

Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy had the highest score in Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 7.

Influencer Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovsky landed on top of the leaderboard with their ghoulish tango. This week, Alix asked Val to push her more, and to quote Derek, “Vintage Val” was back. Alix actually cried during rehearsals, but was grateful in the end.

The duo danced to Billie Eilish’s song, Bury a Friend. Their routine started in an actual grave. So creepy! Their spellbinding performance gave me goosebumps.

“That was chilling, intense. It was sharp. It was controlled,” Derek stated. While Bruno noted that their performance was “drop dead good,” Cheryl had some issues with the choreography. “I hate that you broke hold,” the former pro stated. She added, “You really are amazing.” Alix and Val snagged 39 points out of 40, earning three 10s.

The duo was on fire, coming in second place in the Monster-thon, adding four points to their score. I have a feeling that we will be seeing Alix in the finale.

What were the judge’s scores in DWTS Season 34 Episode 7?

  • Alix and Val (Tango) – 43 points
  • Whitney and Mark (Jazz) – 42 points
  • Robert and Witney (Argentine Tango) – 41 points
  • Dylan and Daniella (Viennese Waltz) – 38 points
  • Jordan and Ezra (Contemporary) – 38 points
  • Danielle and Pasha (Viennese Waltz) – 35 points
  • Jen and Jan (Contemporary) – 34 points
  • Elaine and Alan (Argentine Tango) – 32 points
  • Andy and Emma (Paso Doble) – 29 points

With the addition of the Monster-thon points, the leaderboard was flipped around. Whitney and Mark’s jazz routine to Green Day’s Brain Stew was creepy in all the right ways. “This dance was no tricks and all treats,” Derek stated. However, both Carrie Ann and Cheryl called out timing issues in their side-by-side section.

And Andy and Emma’s fans, the “Fandys,” once again came through for the comedian. This week, although he was last on the leaderboard, he didn’t even land in the bottom three. In his Paso Doble, Andy played a priest, and Emma played a demon. The duo earned their best scores yet.

For the Monster-thon, each couple danced the Hustle, followed by the Lindy Hop. The duos earned points based on how long they survived in the competition. Whitney and Mark earned five points, while Alix and Val came in second place. Meanwhile, Andy and his partner, Emma, were the first couple pulled from the floor by the Grim Reaper, earning just one point. Since Elaine and Alan could not participate, they didn’t earn any points.

Final thoughts on Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Episode 7

Once again, Halloween Night delivered plenty of thrilling and chilling performances. I enjoyed Robert Irwin and Witney Carson’s sexy and dark Argentine tango. It was set to Sweet Dreams Are Made of This by The Hampton String Quartet. Bruno commented, “That was deadly hot.” The duo earned their highest scores of the season with 38 out of 40 points.

Meanwhile, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach’s steamy and romantic vampire Viennese Waltz deserves a shout-out. During rehearsals, Daniella broke Dylan’s nose, but he danced on. “You are just smooth as velvet,” Derek said. “You belong onstage too, my man.”

I also liked actress Danielle Fishel and her partner, Pasha Pashkov’s, Viennese Waltz. In this routine, halfway through the dance, it was revealed that Danielle was a ghost, and Pasha murdered her.

For Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa, their decision to use a harness in their contemporary routine was a risky choice. It didn’t pay off, as Carrie Ann commented that she “sometimes felt” that Jordan was “struggling” with the prop.

Well, next week is Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night, with guest judge Flavor Flav. Plus, team dances are back with a twist. Hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will each dance with a team.

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.

It’s hard to believe that Dancing with the Stars Season 34 has already reached Week 7. After starting with fourteen celebrity and pro couples, only nine are left standing. The competition is starting to get tough, and fans are breaking voting records each week. The combination of scores and fan votes makes it hard to predict which stars will be sent home next. However, there are several celebs who are currently in trouble.

Week 7 of DWTS Season 34 will be Halloween themed. It’s typical of the show to do this every year during the week of Halloween. Each of the couples will perform an eerie routine, in hopes of getting their best scores yet. Since many of the eliminations this season have been shocking, it’s hard to predict who will go home on Halloween Night. However, there’s a good chance that it may be one of these four stars.

Jen Affleck

Jen Affleck started DWTS Season 34 in the middle of the pack score wise. However, as the weeks have gone on, Jen has slowly fallen to the bottom of the leaderboard. While Jen does dance well, the competition is stacked this season. The majority of celebs left have danced better than Jen each week, which the scoring reflects. On top of that, many fans feel like Jen doesn’t have the best dance chemistry with her partner Jan Ravnik.

It’s not clear whether or not Jen has a strong fan base voting for her. Since fellow competitor Whitney Leavitt starred on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives alongside Jen, it’s possible the votes could be split between them. If Jen ends up at the bottom of the leaderboard again on Halloween Night, she could potentially get sent home.

Danielle Fishel

Danielle Fishel

Like Jen, Danielle Fishel started off scoring in the middle of the leaderboard. Danielle tied with Jen for second-to-last place during Dedication Night, with a 29 out of 40. During Wicked Night, however, Danielle rose to the upper half of the leaderboard with a 36 out of 40. After Carrie Ann Inaba remarked that all of Danielle’s dances looked the same, she and her partner, Pasha Pashkov, definitely stepped it up.

While Danielle is improving, her competition is improving as well. Danielle certainly has a strong fan base, but it might not be as strong as those of some of the other celebs. Season 34 has made it clear that you need votes to stay in the competition, so it’s critical that Danielle gets them in order to stay. If Danielle’s scores drop slightly during Halloween Night, she could potentially be eliminated, especially if she doesn’t receive a lot of votes.

Andy Richter

Andy Richter

Andy Richter is truly making history on DWTS Season 34. Since Week 1, Andy has consistently scored at the bottom of the leaderboard. It wasn’t until Wicked Night that Andy received his first 7s, while many other contestants received 9s and even 10s. Andy is improving, but he doesn’t have the dance techniques of the rest of his competitors.

While Andy may not be leading score wise, he seems to be leading with the fan vote. Despite receiving significantly lower scores than the majority of his competitors for several weeks, Andy is saved each week with votes. The fans who have voted for Andy are likely to keep voting for him up until the end. It’s possible that Andy could keep dodging elimination with the help of fans. However, if he scores significantly low on Halloween Night, he could be in danger.

Elaine Hendrix

Elaine Hendrix DWTS
Photo Credit: Eric McCandless/Disney via Getty Images

Elaine Hendrix has been one of the biggest surprises of DWTS Season 34. While she started off in the middle of the pack, Elaine has quickly proven herself score wise. She hasn’t topped the leaderboard, but Elaine has come close.

While Elaine is doing well score wise, she might not have the strongest fan base. Elaine has already been in the “bottom three” once this season. Fans often speculate that safe couples in the “bottom three” are put there to encourage more viewers to vote for them. While Elaine has fans, she is not one of the more current stars this season. On the other hand, Elaine’s fan base isn’t as loud and vocal as Andy’s. Even if Elaine scores high on Halloween Night, she could be eliminated without enough votes.

Dancing with the Stars is available to stream on Disney +.

Dancing with the Stars is nearing the finale, and Danielle Fishel has been a surprising force in the competition. The Boy Meets World actress has been improving each week, all while alongside her pro partner Pasha Pashkov.

Wicked Night has been their most successful performance thus far. With nothing but 9s (their first of the season) and a total of 36 overall, they have good odds of getting a finale slot. That is, if Pasha doesn’t drop her before then.

Pasha Pashkov almost dropped Danielle Fishel during Dancing with the Stars rehearsals

Ahead of their Week 6 performance, the dancing duo spoke about their dynamic together. While not usually nervous when dancing with Pasha, Danielle did have to point out a close call behind the scenes that worried her.

“Well, sure, when you almost dropped me on my nose during dress rehearsal,” she quipped.

Pasha jokingly defended himself, adding that he instantly had a backup plan at the ready just in case.

“I was like, ‘I got you, no matter what happens during the live performance. I was like, ‘Do not touch the floor. I got you. Worst case scenario, I’m paying for a nose job.”

Thankfully their tango went on without issue. It’s not like a stunt drop would be her first injury anyways. Danielle has been very vocal about the wear and tear the DWTS experience has been on her thus far.

She even once showed fans a pretty gruesome bruise that she had on her leg. But, the actress has made it clear that she’s doing everything she can to stay healthy during this competition.

Dancing with the Stars Season 34 airs on Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available to stream on Hulu the next day.
