Below Deck Down Under - Season 4

Last night, Season 4 of Below Deck Down Under premiered. We’re only one episode in. Yet, we already have some predictions for this season.

In the galley, tensions are quickly mounting. Poor Alesia Harris. She has “a passion” for cooking. But as Ben Robinson’s already noted, her “passion” isn’t translating well.

Meanwhile, the interior department is already down one stew. In Episode 1, Joe Caron received a phone call from home. Her grandfather was in the hospital, and things weren’t looking great. So, Joe decided to leave filming, right as the first chaotic group of charter guests came aboard.

With one less hand in the interior department, demanding charter guests who thrive on rumors, nastiness, and Diet Coke, and bubbling tensions, both good and bad, arising out of every corner, BDDU Season 4 is off to the races. Regarding the rest of this season, these are now our top storyline predictions.

Alesia Harris will be fired or quit on Below Deck Down Under Season 4

Alesia made her debut as a BDDU sous-chef in Season 3. Her interactions with that season’s chef didn’t exactly land well. Unfortunately, history seems to be repeating itself for Alesia in Season 4. Her new chef, Ben, demands perfection, but perfection isn’t exactly Alesia’s middle name.

Alesia knows that she’s green. She’s never attended culinary school. However, she does have something to prove to her mother, who doubts her career path as a chef. But in her very first scene with Ben this season, he made sure to note that her cutting skills were lacking, making Alesia’s face visibly fall.

Then, Alesia used the wrong pan and burnt some eggs. Next, she burnt her hand, only to later overspill one of her pans while helping Ben make a cheesecake. Now, Ben is a blunt man. Therefore, his reactions to several of Alesia’s blunders have already come across as harsh, as evidenced by Alesia’s dejected responses.

On one hand, we already have a chef crashing out in the galley, making me cheer, BDDU IS BACK! But on the other hand, Alesia won’t last long if things continue as they are. And when we saw the trailer at the end of Episode 1, showing Alesia crying in the wheelhouse, admitting that this gig might be crushing her soul, the first prediction formed. Basically, Alesia is either going to quit, get fired, or learn how to adapt to Ben’s cheeky ways as this season progresses.

Furthering firing speculations, in the end trailer, Daisy Kelliher is seemingly telling Alesia that she can get off the boat. But edits are meant to be tricky. So, who knows? But either way, something has to give for Alesia.

A love triangle approaches BDDU for Jenna Woudberg, Ben Robinson, and Eddy Hounsell

What even is this franchise without a love triangle or two, no? Typically, these messy scenarios consist of one male and two females. But this season, Jenna Woudberg might be turning things on their heads. Like the “still to come” trailer teased, this stew is about to rock both Ben and Eddy Hounsell’s yachts.

Ben is newly single, as he and his fiancée recently called off their engagement. He is now $50k poorer, because weddings require all the things. So, as he said, “the best way to get over someone” is to get underneath another. But he was talking about the motor yacht Katina here, joking, “I think Katina could be my new girl.”

Meanwhile, Eddy is one of the new deckhands this season. He had an awkward childhood, but once he learned how to lean into his smaller frame, Eddy grew “a lot more confident.” During his first episode, he noted that Alesia was his type. But in the trailer, we heard Jenna admitting, “Eddy is on my mind.”

“But it’s nice, getting to know Ben,” she added. The frame then shows Jenna and Ben walking hand in hand. “I like you, okay?” Ben admits. But then we see Eddy, angrily walking away.

“If you want my advice, stay the f*ck away from the two of them,” Daisy advised, as the screen went dark on our first predicated love triangle of the season.

João Franco and Daisy Kelliher’s boatmance will hurt her relationship with Chef Ben

BDDU

João Franco and Daisy have never worked together before. But here they are, leading their department heads on BDDU. However, as the trailer teases, they will soon be more than just colleagues. In an upcoming episode, these two will breezily inquire about each other’s statuses, which kicks off a love story of sorts for these staple yachties.

As Daisy joked, she typically goes for “d*ckheads,” which, YEP, and no comment. Then, we see clip after clip of Daisy and João kissing, both on and off the yacht. But are they in love, someone unseen asks? “I don’t know,” we heard Daisy answering.

But as we also saw, Daisy will struggle with Ben this season. Their heated interactions may or may not be why we also saw João struggling with Ben in the trailer. During Episode 1, Ben and João got along just fine. But later this season, João will seemingly approach Ben on Daisy’s behalf, causing Ben to (verbally) revolt.

Before this season aired, Daisy noted that Ben liked to act like a guest during filming. And sure enough, in João’s heated scene with Ben, Ben is in a guest cabin, seemingly living his best spread-out life without guests on board. Viewers can’t hear what João said to Ben, but Ben is yelling, “f*cking wanker” at João. Whatever happened here, I predict that Daisy and João’s boatmance will further sink her working relationship with Ben.

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock.

Welcome back, land dwellers! Finally, Below Deck Down Under Season 4, Episode 1 is here, led once again by Captain Jason. At his side are several returning yachties, including Chef Ben, Chief Stew Daisy, Second Officer João, and Sous Chef Alesia. Several new characters are also coming aboard to work alongside this “A team.” So, let’s dive right into this first, supersized episode, shall we? Here’s what went down in BDDU Season 4, Episode 1.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 1?

After the originally hired chef backs out, Ben exits his years-long Bravo hibernation to save Season 4. But can he survive his first charter group, featuring the ever-messy and always iconic cast of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City? Not really, as his cast is already facing a boatload of troubles with these women. So basically, we’re “BACK BABY!”

The cast of BDDU Season 4 boards the motor yacht Katina

Captain Jason “can’t have” another season with his “heads of departments at each other.” So this season, he’s bringing on four well-seasoned yachties, Ben, Daisy, João, and Alesia. As he notes, Canouan is their new setting. And no, that’s not in Australia, but he’s Australian, so “Down Under is wherever” he decides to be.

Daisy, Ben, and João board first. Ben hasn’t worked on a yacht in “six years,” but a week before Season 4’s cameras picked up, he ran into Captain Jason. Ben “took him to lunch at the Outback Steakhouse, because he’s Australian.” And when Captain Jason revealed that his chef had dropped out, Ben decided to return, mostly because “he needed an escape” from his failed engagement.

Deck/stew Mike arrives next. Thankfully, Daisy and João are already working well together. They plan to use Mike on deck in the morning, and in the evening, he’ll work in the interior. João’s “grown up,” he states, and even though he’s a captain, he’s happy to put his ego aside and work as the second officer for Captain Jason.

Stews Jenna and Joe arrive next, followed by deckhands Eddy and Betul, and finally, Alesia. The galley will “have a great vibe” this season, Captain Jason tells Alesia. Is this … false foreshadowing?

The crew heads to their first preference sheet meeting. The ladies of RHOSLC are their first charter guests, Captain Jason reveals, as his OG’s faces immediately register a solid mix of excitement and horror. Then, Daisy designates Jenna as her second stew.

One crew member exits, while the cast of RHOSLC enters

The next morning, Ben and Alesia prepare brunch for the crew, but Alesia uses the wrong pan and burns the eggs. Ben shows her an easier route, but as he’s talking, Alesia burns her hand. Feeling big emotions, she excuses herself for a cathartic cry. Her mom convinced her to pass on culinary school, so now, all Alesia wants to do is prove her wrong.

Next door, a cell phone rings insistently. And nearby, a private plane lands, depositing Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay (the primary), Angie Katsanevas, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, and Britani Bateman in Canouan. Later, Bronwyn Newport will also join them.

While changing into her whites, Joe finally answers that phone. It’s her dad. Her grandfather is in the hospital, and things aren’t looking good. Joe falls to the ground, and when Daisy enters, Joe admits that she’s leaving.

“We’re f*cked,” Daisy states. Captain Jason calls his crew together, urging everyone to “pitch in” for this likely demanding charter.

Speaking of these devils, the Housewives have arrived. As they start drinking and touring the yacht, Captain Jason sneaks Joe off, reminding her that she is “doing the right thing.” Finally, the first charter of Season 4 leaves the dock, right after the Housewives argue over the cabins.

Typical.

Tensions rise across the yacht

Ben cheekily critiques Alesia’s cutting techniques. I don’t think his wit lands well, though, so this might be a long season for the pair. Likewise, this might be a long charter for the men, because Britani is on a “thirty-day break” from her on-again, off-again, frustrating man, Jared Osmond, and her eyes are already set on Captain Jason.

At the table, Whitney warns Britani that if she says her man’s name, she’ll get splashed. She accepts Whitney’s challenge and immediately gets doused by Heather, Meredith, and Whitney. “These are the friends I need,” Jenna jokes. Right after, Meredith dumps an entire pitcher of water over Britani for referencing “a certain someone.”

Bronwyn finally arrives via a water taxi, wearing a ridiculously-her outfit. In the galley, Alesia’s salad isn’t up to Ben’s standards. But neither is Britani’s stuffed unicorn, which Bronwyn jokes about “throwing overboard.” Additionally, Angie’s seasick, certain women want help unpacking, one’s lost a nipple-cover, and the others need another drink, leaving Daisy exhausted with these “unhinged” women.

In the galley, Ben and Alesia misunderstand each other. Back at the table, Bronwyn suggests that someone is leaking stories. “Nobody would do that here,” Lisa responds. Down below, Jenna finds a cucumber in Whitney’s luggage while poor Mike works solo with these “f*cking nutjob” women.

The Housewives spiral into chaos

The ladies head down to the water toys. Captain Jason joins them, riding tandem with Heather on a Seabob. Whitney jokes, “You’re riding him, finally!”

Ben and Alesa start prepping a cheesecake. In the ocean, Angie serves the fish a nice serving of vomit. Poor Angie.

Poor Alesia as well. Her pan is overflowing, making Ben sigh. Her “passion for cooking” isn’t translating well, he notes.

Angie is still down for the count. Mary’s concerned for her friend, so she eats her dinner by Angie’s side. Back at the table, Britani breaks a rule by talking “sh*t” about Mary in her absence. But once Britani accuses Meredith of faking seizures, all hell breaks loose.

As the ladies argue, Ben radios for Daisy, who’s in over her head with these guests. Right on cue, Meredith stands, once again dousing Britani with water. Britani repays her non-kindness, breaking her glass in turn. Daisy calls for Mike to clean up the shards, as Ben grows angrier by the second in the galley, waiting to plate his dishes for timely service.

“These b*tches are next level delulu,” Daisy states, adding, “I’m over this.”

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.

Tonight, Below Deck Down Under Season 4 premieres. And when it does, several familiar faces will be at the helm. This season, Captain Jason Chambers clearly scored a major win with the casting department. But even though he’s getting the cream of this franchise’s crop, problems will still arise onboard.

This season, Captain Jason’s right-hand lady is none other than Daisy Kelliher, who jumped ship from Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Since the fate of BDSY remains unknown, this opportunity is a great one for Daisy. That is, as long as her interior team can also rise to the occasion.

Meanwhile, João Franco is walking onboard as the exterior department head. Now, João has appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean and BDDU. And thankfully, he and Daisy seemingly get along this season, based on everything we’ve read so far.

Finally, in the galley, Ben Robsinson is making his way out of retirement. Ben hasn’t worked on a yacht in years. But this season, Captain Jason needed a last-minute replacement, and luckily for him, Ben just so happened to be free.

Clearly, with three returning department heads, consider fans ready for BDDU Season 4. But what have these OGs teased about this all-star season?

Daisy Kelliher says Chef Ben Robinson “challenged” her on Below Deck Down Under Season 4

As seen in the trailer, Daisy and Ben have never worked together before. And after this season, they may never work together again. Unless, that is, you take Ben’s words over Daisy’s.

To explain, when asked at BravoCon how Season 4 went, Daisy made sure to note that Ben “challenged [her] in every way possible.” However, “at first, he was great. But then I learned he couldn’t tell time, so that was a big problem when it came to dinner service,” she explained. At her side, Ben rolled his eyes in good humor, and then he challenged Daisy’s stance.

“I’m English. Different timezone,” Ben quipped. Daisy laughed, but then she further explained that their relationship this season was “interesting.” Because in addition to his failed “timekeeping,” Ben also behaves “like a guest” this season, Daisy revealed, noting her shock that Ben wasn’t wearing one of their guests’ robes while sitting on this panel.

So, what rubbed Ben the wrong way about Daisy? “Nothing really, to be honest,” Ben answered. “Actually, I thought we had a great relationship. I’m completely blindsided.”

But the way João, Daisy, and even Ben immediately started laughing teases otherwise. Whatever happens here, at least they can all laugh about it now. However, the verdict is still out on Alesia Harris’s take. As of now, her statements about BDDU Season 4 are limited.

Daisy and João Franco have a strong connection

On this same BravoCon panel, the moderator noted that Daisy seemed to share a strong bond with João, at least according to the trailer. When pressed about whether it was “love or lust at first sight” with João, Daisy stammered. After admitting that her “adrenaline [was] going so fast,” Daisy finally acknowledged that their bond was more of “a slow build.”

“I’m a slow builder, so I don’t wanna give too many spoilers away,” Daisy continued. “But João and I had a great relationship, we’re friends,” she stressed. Yet, when saying the word “friends,” Daisy did so flirtatiously, making João laugh on their shared stage. Apart from his laughter, João didn’t add anything extra to Daisy’s statement, but we do know that, whatever happens, João is already back with his ex, whose name is not Daisy.

Regardless, after their cameras went down, Daisy appeared on Watch What Happens Live. While here, she reiterated that she and João “worked well as a team.” And, as far as João goes, last October, he teased, “THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE CRAZY RIDE!!”

He was speaking about their crossover episodes with the cast of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. And as João further stressed, “Can’t wait until you all see our side of these episodes.” Fans won’t have to wait very long for this, as these hot messes are the very first charter guests of Season 4.

Captain Jason Chambers promises “dynamics” shifting in the BDDU crew

Between the hot and cold pairings of his department heads, Captain Jason might experience a turbulent season. Or not. Captains never really see the drama until each season airs. Even still, he admits that he’s lucky to have such capable yachties on board.

As Captain Jason explained to TV Insider, this season, Daisy thankfully “blew it right out of the park. Her process, of wanting to perform at her best, is all we can ask for, and she did. First and foremost, she wants to do her job very well. That’s all you can ask from the cruise.”

Regarding Ben and João, these yachties also gained Captain Jason’s trust. But the crew dynamics as a whole will either sink or swim this season, he admits.

“I think the crew dynamic that goes on, I can only imagine what happened off the boat because I hadn’t seen it myself. What I see we put together and what we came out with, I had to understand what was happening. I’m [mostly] worried about what is happening at work, but you could see the dynamics shift so many times with the crew. But at the end of the day, in front of the house, we were spot on with the charter guests,” Captain Jason detailed.

He continued, “You’re going to see João’s character come out, Daisy’s, and all the crew that participated. All of them have a great story to tell. I think we got there in the end.”

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock.

The highly anticipated crossover episode featuring the casts of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 and Below Deck Down Under Season 4 aired. Even though it focused the heaviest on the RHOSLC cast, we were still able to meet the upcoming faces on BDDU. In this lineup, we spotted five returning, highly qualified yachties. And at their sides were four new crew members, who also seem (so far) solid enough.

Obviously, Captain Jason Chambers is one of the five returning stars. This sought-after bachelor is the mainstay of this series. But who are the four familiar faces on his team for Season 4? And what four new names should we all start Googling, solely to learn about who his newbies are ahead of Episode 1?

Below Deck Down Under Season 4 cast includes some major returnees

Daisy Kelliher

This season, the department heads are all returning stars. Whether these yachties appeared on BDDU or another series in the Below Deck franchise, these four crew members all know how to hold their own, both with their work ethics and their storylines.

“Hello, lovelies.” This season on BDDU, Chef Ben Robinson is taking back his throne in the galley. Ben has starred in multiple series in this franchise. But this will be his first season on BDDU. The last year we saw this man on Bravo was in 2019, so consider me eager for his return.

Like Ben, Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher has starred in this franchise for years, but this will also be her first season on BDDU. With two new-to-her stews on her team, hopefully Daisy fares well. Because, as it seems, her former series might be dead in the water.

Leading the deck team is Second Officer João Franco. João has also starred in other Below Deck series, but the last time we saw him was during Season 2 of BDDU. João has worked with Captain Jason and Ben before, but never with Daisy.

Finally, Ben has some help in the galley this season, courtesy of Sous-Chef Alesia Harris. Alesia joined this franchise during BDDU Season 3. She learned quickly, but with Ben as her new boss, her skills will only continue to improve (hopefully).

The BDDU Season 4 cast also includes some newbies

Jenna Woudberg stars on the interior team as one of Daisy’s stews. Bravo has yet to release the bios for these newbies. But thanks to Episode 7 of RHOSLC, we already know that Jenna is competent. We also know that she’s skilled at finding extra-thick, ownerless cucumbers while cleaning.

Mike Durrant joins Jenna and Daisy in a deck/stew role. Mike is new to Bravo, but he’s not new to the reality television genre. He recently starred on Dating Naked UK Season 1, which is now streaming on Paramount+. But now, Mike can be found behind the BDDU bar, listening to drunken women talk about how they “buy and sell” things for their careers.

Rounding out this crew, Eddy Hounsell and Betul Yazici are also joining BDDU as deckhands. As seen on RHOSLC, Eddy knows how to rescue seasick, paddleboard-riding damsels in distress. And Betul is funny and hardworking. So, WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

Hopefully, nothing. Because from where we’re sitting, the crew on BDDU Season 4 looks like one of the greatest groups of new and returning yachties yet.

RHOSLC fans saw the Below Deck Down Under Season 4 cast on a recent episode

Last night, the Bravo crossover of our dreams finally aired. Minus Heather Gay getting a bit too handsy with our man, Captain Jason, these scenes were all fun as hell to watch. But based on the flashforward that aired at the start of this episode, these seas will soon grow choppy. “They’re literally killing each other,” observed Daisy.

As Captain Jason and his team welcomed these Real Housewives stars to the yacht, Angie Katsanevas gave them all a warning. “You’ll never work so hard for your money in your life,” she said. Overall, Angie wasn’t joking. Between serving their guests as they loudly argue over allegations of fraud and leaked gossip to the press, and a cast member needing a water rescue from Eddy, the BDDU is indeed working hard for their money.

But from everything that we saw, every department served these ladies well. They also offered solidly snarky commentary about their guests, which I loved. And now that this crossover episode of RHOSLC has aired, fans are eager to watch this charter group again. Only this time, from the BDDU Season 4 cast members’ POV instead.

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 recently concluded. But many of us still have questions regarding the outcomes of the sometimes messy narratives within. During the early seasons of this franchise, reunions aired to help fill in these storyline holes. But after a few of these aired, these reunions sadly ceased to exist. So, will Bravo reverse this tragedy by giving us a reunion for the cast of Below Deck Down Under Season 3?

Is there a Below Deck Down Under reunion for Season 3?

No, there will not be a Below Deck Down Under Season 3 reunion.

Captain Jason Chambers and his Katina crew are saying goodbye. But not via a reunion, hinting that Bravo is (likely) done with these post-season follow-ups. Over the years, various cast members have blamed scheduling and time zones as the reason why reunions in this franchise are a bust. These yachties live all over the world, making group Zooms challenging at best.

However, the ever-chatty Harry van Vliet would now like a word. Following the close of BDDU Season 3, Harry took to his Instagram account, posting a teaser of sorts to pull us out of our failed reunions funk.

“By the way, there may not be an official Bravo reunion[,] however[,] keep your eyes peeled, [as] we have something in the works! So write your questions down and some of the crew will be happy to answer really soon!” Harry shared, imploring viewers to comment on his Instagram post with their questions.

Sadly, Harry failed to share which of his former cast members would be joining in on this Q&A session. So, what say you, Brianna Duffield, Tzarina Mace-Ralph, Lara Rigby, Adair Werley, Alesia Harris, Nicolas Cattelan, Nate Salmon, Wihan Du Toit, Anthony Bird, and Johnny Arvanitis?

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. The show also streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

Welcome back, one final time, nautical companions. It is time to say goodbye to Below Deck Down Under via our Season 3 Episode 17 recap, “Never Can Sey Goodbye.” Last week, Lara and Tzarina found peace. In contrast, the deck team is not as calm, nor is Captain Jason, thanks to their oversight that resulted in a beached tender. Now, their guests are growing weary back on the yacht, so Harry, Nate, Nic, Adair, and Captain Jason have to think fast. But did their efforts pay off? Here is a breakdown of everything that transpired on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 17.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 17?

Captain Jason is not thrilled with the deck team for beaching their tender, but thankfully, help arrives from an unexpected place. However, Harry and Bri are also nearing uncharted waters, as their future once off this yacht remains in question. As this crew prepares to say their final goodbyes, relationships and messy interpersonal dynamics further shift, sending this cast home with a bang and an unexpected kiss.

The deck team races to pull their beached tender out of the sand

Picking up where we last left off, we see the deck team struggling to dig their tender out of the sand. As Captain Jason radios, asking for their ETA, Harry has no choice but to admit what happened. Using a different tender, a ticked Captain Jason shuttles their guests to their beach. On the way, the guests spot the beached tender and laugh, unbothered by the chaos the deck team now faces.

Nate takes full accountability for this matter. Nevertheless, their tender will remain stuck for four more hours. The deck team shifts into pirate mode, leading the charter guests on a treasure hunt across the beach. Alesia finds pirate Nate hot.

As the guests return to the yacht, Nate must stay behind, waiting to drive the tender back once the tide releases it. He is embarrassed, to say the very least.

Tensions threaten to brew once more between Lara and Tzarina

Tzarina starts to prepare a 7-course meal, but Lara does not fancy this idea, as the boat does not have enough dishes. She asks Tzarina to talk to their guests about this request. Tzarina heads to the deck to do so, but she chickens out, sticking to her guns so that their guests will receive what they asked for. In her confessional, Lara calls Tzarina unhinged.

Locales arrive at the beach, helping Nate and Captain Jason free their tender. In the wheelhouse, Captain Jason and Nate chat. All is well.

The guests sit for their lengthy dinner. Everything goes smoothly, and the guests are thrilled. As is Tzarina, who hugs and praises Alesia for a great season. In the corner, Lara tells Bri that she is still upset with Tzarina for her late-to-work lie that never resulted in an apology.

The last charter brings a shift to many boatmances on board

With the sunrise, we have reached the last morning on charter. In the galley, Alesia reveals she is moving ahead with culinary school. Tzarina is thrilled. Bri, however, admits she does not know where she and Harry will land once this season ends.

The guests depart, leaving behind a solid tip of $25,500 for the crew. Captain Jason gives the helmet to Tzarina because she has been asking for it all season. Sure enough, Tzarina is thrilled.

Nate and Alesia giggle over his cutesy word choices, which still give Alesia the ick. In contrast, Harry and Bri are finally on the same page (for now). That night, Captain Jason takes his team out for a final dinner, where Tzarina covers Lara in compliments. Lara, however, finds her words fake.

In their final bathroom chat, Nate admits he feels bummed about Alesia, who does not wish to entertain anything serious with him. Captain Jason leaves as the skies part, sending rain everywhere. The soaked crew continues partying. On the dance floor, everyone gasps while Nate sighs, realizing Tzarina and Alesia are making out.

Across the floor, Marina puts her heart on the line with Nic. She wants her man to join her on a trip to South Africa. Smiling, Nic agrees.

But Bri is no longer smiling. Alesia is backing her tail into Harry on the dance floor, and Harry is complying with her moves. Lara gives Harry a heads-up to speak to Bri. Harry does as told, and Bri feels better, announcing that Harry is her boyfriend on the cab ride back to the yacht.

In the morning, Nic and Marina leave the yacht, walking the plank hand-in-hand. Still on board, Lara attempts one final chat with Tzarina. Tzarina is shocked, thinking they were already in a good place. Their conversation ends with no resolution.

Nate leaves the yacht, joking that he is still looking for the love of his life. Alesia and Adair also leave separately, revealing their plans to further their careers. Lara heads to the wheelhouse, where Captain Jason praises her efforts this season. Lara thanks Captain Jason for this opportunity.

Tzarina enters the wheelhouse next, hugging Captain Jason goodbye. Harry and Bri follow. In their last shared confessional, Harry jokes with Captain Hottie, teasing that he is available should his boss need any advice about dating models. Laughing, Captain Jason says he is good as Harry departs the yacht with Bri, signaling the end of BDDU Season 3.

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. BDDU also streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 is nearing its end on Bravo. While many entertaining storylines have emerged, this season has also been messy and somewhat repetitive, as certain storylines consistently favored pettiness over patience.

Captain Jason Chambers had his work cut out for him this season. From multiple firings to hosting several meetings where peace said NOPE, this man deserves a long, quiet break in his tiny little robe. But, sadly for him, and yay for us, Captain Jason is already off filming for BDDU Season 4.

Overall, fans enjoyed this season. However, not every scene was a winner. As for our least favorite storylines on BDDU Season 3, these three narratives take the cake.

Below Deck Down Under’s never-ending feud between Tzarina Mace-Ralph and Lara Rigby tarnished Season 3

Tzarina Mace-Ralph BDDU

Tzarina Mace-Ralph and Lara Rigby have a history. These two yachties had already worked together on an unfilmed yacht, so Tzarina was excited to see Lara again. Lara seemingly felt the same. But, as this season progressed, Tzarina and Lara began rubbing each other in all the wrong ways.

Tzarina carries many insecurities. So, when Lara cracked a few jokes, like labeling her as a weird Barbie, Tzarina retreated inwardly. As for Lara, she is a perfectionist, a trait that serves her well in this industry. But when her visions asked too much of Tzarina or her sous-chef, Alesia Harris, Tzarina became weary, a feeling that only grew stronger after Lara and Alesia bonded, making Tzarina feel even more pushed to the side.

Lara wanted the crew mess cleaned, but Tzarina and Alesia could not spare the time. This task was also not their responsibility. Growing tired of this repetitive demand while also riding the waves of her emotional low, Tzarina retaliated with a lie, stating loudly that Lara was late to work that day. Tzarina then refused to apologize to Lara, which made Captain Jason enter the ring, hoping he could help these ladies find common ground.

His efforts failed. Nevertheless, Tzarina and Lara made peace in Episode 16. Regardless, 15 previous hour-long episodes containing this narrative still consumed this series, making this storyline among the worst on BDDU Season 3.

Below Deck’s first sous-chef Anthony Bird made Down Under Season 3 start off on a sour note

Anthony Bird - BDDU

Before Alesia, Tzarina had Anthony Bird at her side in the galley. However, Anthony wanted to be more than just her helper. Instead of washing the dishes, cleaning the galley, or chopping and prepping whatever Tzarina passed his way, Anthony desired to run this galley as if it were his.

Instead of falling in line, Anthony began doling out sarcastic quips left and right at Tzarina. While cleaning, he moaned and groaned. While organizing, he noted that he could handle heavier tasks. And when Tzarina prepared any meal, Anthony stressed that he could have done better.

Tzarina often gave in to his laments, tasking Anthony with weightier assignments, including a beach picnic for their charter guests. Instead of being thankful, Anthony grew frustrated, asking why Tzarina did not join him on the island to help him serve their clientele. No matter how Tzarina responded, she could not win with Anthony. Anthony felt the same, so he phoned a friend and found a new gig on another yacht, departing only a handful of days later.

When Captain Jason learned of this, he cut Anthony before these days passed. But for three episodes of BDDU Season 3, we still had to deal with Anthony, AKA one of the worst storylines this season.

Wihan du Toit’s antics made for uncomfortable moments on Below Deck Down Under Season 3

Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 8

Speaking of males who did not fare well on Season 3 of BDDU, we must discuss Wihan du Toit. After letting Tzarina and Marina Marcondes de Barros frequently kiss and cuddle him, Wihan grew fond of a third female. His lovesick antics caused emotional damage throughout this season.

Likewise, Wihan refused to help the other departments. He even asked his deck team to look busy whenever Lara neared. Then, Wihan acted with a similar showing of disdain towards his guests, which could have resulted in tragedy.

When his team warned Wihan about a potentially dangerous water-logged ski, Wihan-the-never-wrong waved their concerns away. Then, when this ski flipped, endangering a non-swimmer on top, Wihan played the not-me card with Captain Jason, who thankfully saw right through Wihan. By the time Wihan made his final misstep, knowingly cuddling a drunk stew in his bunk who was looking for someone else, many of us were ready to throw our televisions out the window.

Wihan finally got the ax in Episode 11. But, for 11 long episodes, we had to deal with this messy bosun, who consistently delivered some of the worst storylines in BDDU Season 3.

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. BDDU also streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

Welcome back, land dwellers! It is time for our Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 16 recap via “Come Swell Or High Water.” Last week, matters between Lara and Tzarina came to a head. Now, these ladies are hardly communicating. Lara, however, is well pleased with Marina, also known as her new second stew. Nate and Alesia also grew closer, that is, until he gave her the ick with only one word. Will they survive this season intact, or is this relationship like that of Lara and Tzarina, meaning DOA? Here is a breakdown of everything that happened on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 16.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 16?

Brianna is having second thoughts about moving forward with Harry. Likewise, Captain Jason is trying to move forward with Lara via a heart-to-heart conversation on deck before their last charter boards. However, swells formed once their guests arrived, making this yacht a yak-filled one for this tired crew to sort. Regardless, no one feels sicker than the deck team, who, during their final beach excursion of this season, just committed their gravest error to date, which will soon have Captain Jason seeing red.

Captain Jason pulls Lara aside to discuss her drama with Tzarina

Lara cries to Brianna in her cabin, noting that Captain Jason never praises her efforts. Cue production, inserting flashbacks stating otherwise. Next door, Tzarina cries on the phone with her mother, equally burnt out from this feud.

Lara asks Brianna for an update on Harry. Brianna admits she might not be ready for a serious relationship. On deck, Harry tells his team he would not mind making things official with Brianna.

The crew gathers by the hot tub for drinks and chit-chat, enjoying a turnaround day without guests. Captain Jason joins, pulling Lara off to the side. He wants her to apologize, but Lara feels unsure, growing emotional over her lack of trust in Tzarina. In her confessional, Lara reveals that she confided in Tzarina about a former relationship, and when she ended things with this bloke, Tzarina joined him for dinner.

Nevertheless, Lara relents, agreeing to try harder to leave her grudges behind. Seemingly wanting the same, Tzarina later enters their cabin, asking Lara if she wants help getting ready for their night out. Sighing, Lara admits she does not want to fight anymore. Tzarina agrees, and she and Lara hug.

Nate sees a future with Alesia, complete with five children. At dinner, the boys gather in the bathroom for a chat. At the table, the girls grill Alesia, learning that both parties are on the same page. As are Nic and Marina.

Back on the yacht, Harry and Brianna talk. The crew watches from the crew mess as Lara inaccurately, albeit hysterically, narrates their chat. Harry brings up the exclusive word. Brianna says yes, kissing Harry as the crew cheers.

Alesia visits Nate in his cabin. Unlike Harry and Bri, Alesia is not ready to date anyone. Nate is disheartened, but he understands.

The following morning, Lara awakens, confessing to Tzarina that she had a romantic dream about Captain Jason. SAME.

The department heads gather for a preference sheet meeting, where Captain Jason asks Lara if she is okay. Blushing, Lara says yes. But Nate is not well, as their tender is dead. Captain Jason makes a call for a rental as their guests draw near.

Tzarina encourages Alesia in the galley, suggesting Alesia enroll in culinary school. Alesia admits this path feels right. As the guests enjoy their lunch, swells kick up in the sea, causing sickness to enter the chat.

A replacement tender arrives during dinner service. One by one, the guests start growing ill. Hardly touching their plates, they head to bed.

Brianna FaceTimes her mom with Lara. Harry enters, letting her mom know he is in an exclusive relationship with her daughter.

Swells grow overnight, awakening Captain Jason and the guests. Lara radios that these exhausted humans are seated for breakfast, but Tzarina fails to hear her call. Annoyed, Lara heads downstairs to deliver this news in person, understandably frustrated, which Tzarina clocks, fearful their peace treaty has already died.

While the guests prepare to depart for their pirate-themed beach excursion, Captain Jason and Nate discuss the tides. They go out quickly, so timing is everything, Captain Jason notes. The crew departs ahead of the guests to prepare the island.

While delivering supplies, Nate gets their rented tender stuck on the seabed at low tide. Captain Jason radios the deck team, receiving radio silence. The crew struggles to free their tender as the credits roll on BDDU Episode 16.

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. BDDU also streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 is soon coming to an end. Throughout this season, Tzarina Mace-Ralph and Lara Rigby have been at odds. Now that filming has wrapped, Harry van Vliet has joined their feud, standing extra tall in support of Lara.

However, after only seeing an edited snippet of this mess, many viewers have decided that Lara is at fault. Cue their verbal pitchforks landing in her DMs, grossly calling for her death.

Thankfully, Lara, Tzarina, and Harry can agree on one thing: This level of hate is dangerous and absurd. Nevertheless, Harry and Lara are still on less-than-friendly terms with Tzarina. Let us break this mess down for you now as we do our best to remain hopeful that these yachties can one day make peace.

Tzarina is the head of the galley, and Lara is the head of the interior on BDDU Season 3. Both of these ladies have vital roles that intertwine on board. Therefore, they should be tight. But sadly, here we now sit, watching this season place them at odds.

Lara runs a tight (literal) ship. Meanwhile, Tzarina runs her galley as she sees fit. When Alesia Harris stepped on board to help in the galley, she quickly bonded with Tzarina. However, Lara has also grown close to Alesia.

Already feeling small after Lara joked that she resembled a weird Barbie, Tzarina is growing weary. Additionally, Tzarina is annoyed with the crew mess, which Lara insists must be cleaned by Alesia.

In retaliation, Tzarina lied about Lara being late for work. Other crew members heard this, and now, not even Captain Jason Chambers can help these two women find peace.

Lara Rigby is now receiving death threats as Below Deck Down Under Season 3 airs

After Episode 14 aired, Lara grew concerned with the comments that quickly flooded her social media accounts. Therefore, she posted a statement on her Instagram Stories to help explain her current headspace.

After stressing that Episode 14 “was a lot,” Lara admitted that it has not “felt nice” watching this episode as it airs. Then, Lara revealed that she experienced a panic attack thanks to the “tough” stressors of this series. Finally, Lara reminded everyone that this is a television show and she is only human. So, while our feelings might rise, they should never reach the level where death threats enter our conversations.

“We’re all just trying to do our best,” Lara added, noting that we only see a condensed version of the events that transpired. Lara then joked about her daily dosages of trolls, ending with words of praise and thanks to her kind followers and gentle commenters.

Realizing that this hate train had gone too far, Harry clocked everything Tzarina was saying online as BDDU Season 3 aired. He did not love her comments, so Harry reached out to Tzarina before hitting the unfollow button. During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session online, an eagle-eyed follower asked Harry why he stopped following Tzarina, who used to be his close friend. His response was simple.

“I do not support online blasting or bullying,” Harry quipped. Following this statement, Lara reposted his statement with a note of thanks on her Instagram Stories.

“Finally, someone speaks out! Remember, you only see a small snippet,” Lara began, noting that she has “kept very quiet about” this mess on her social media accounts, trying to avoid fanning these nasty flames. “We need more people like Harry in the world,” Lara ended, praising her BDDU Season 3 deckhand turned friend.

Shortly after Harry stood up for Lara, Tzarina joined him in his quest for a ceasefire via her since-expired Instagram Stories, which Reddit thankfully saved. After stating that the cyberbullying towards Lara had gone too far, Tzarina reminded us all that we “don’t do that. We don’t do death threats” or “horrible comments,” Tzarina implored, as this is “a fun TV show,” so we “have no right to be that mean to someone online.”

Tzarina sighed, acknowledging that she had been asked not to speak about Lara. Nevertheless, Tzarina needed to articulate this one point, saying, “What happened between her and [me] is personal.” Overall, Tzarina has “zero tolerance” for anyone wishing death upon Lara, she stressed, which the comments on Reddit thankfully supported.

Death threats are awful. The only positive aspect of this feud is that Lara, Harry, and Tzarina have found something to agree on.

Lara Rigby acknowledged Tzarina Mace-Ralph’s post and offered a message to her bullies while chatting to Reality Tea

Reality Tea got Lara on the line for a chat. After recalling how Tzarina supported Lara with a call for a ceasefire, we asked Lara if Tzarina also personally reached out to her. “No, she did not,” Lara answered. Even still, Lara is thankful that Tzarina said what she said.

Then, Lara offered a message to those who troll too hard, saying that “Below Deck is a TV show. It’s real people’s lives. Everyone makes mistakes. But bullying is just an absolute no-no.”

Now that common ground has finally been found, fans hope Lara and Harry can make peace with Tzarina. Likewise, viewers hope to see zero further toxic comments online following the remaining handful of episodes of BDDU Season 3.

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. BDDU also streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

Lara Rigby is working on top of rough waters this season on Below Deck Down Under. However, an unexpected kiss might help at least one unnamed yachtie end this season on a high, Lara teased.

From fighting with Tzarina Mace-Ralph in the galley and feeling underappreciated by Captain Jason Chambers, Lara cannot help but feel the stressors as the newest chief stew in this series. Her post-filming feelings are immense, varied, and valid.

Therefore, we got Lara back on the line for another BDDU Season 3 chat. Here is everything Lara had to say.

A shocking kiss will wrap up Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Lara Rigby teases

There are “so many relationships” on board this season, Lara noted in our chat. In one corner, Harry van Vliet and Brianna Duffield are an item. However, Harry and Bri might be on different pages, as the latest episodes have seen Bri questioning their future as a couple post-filming.

In another corner, Alesia Harris and Nate Salmon are growing close. But after Nate uttered a word that made Alesia cringe, their future as a duo might have died.

Finally, Marina Marcondes de Barros and Nicolas Cattelan are vibing. Yet, the romance storylines will not stop here, Lara disclosed. “Alesia and Nate are starting to get a bit closer. We’ll see how that ends. But, I think you’ll all be surprised at who ends up kissing who on the last episode,” Lara teased.

Will Lara leave this yacht with a fun story to tell? Might Captain Jason or Tzarina join in on any reindeer games? Is a charter guest or an inanimate object involved? Only time will answer these questions, as Lara is cheekily not.

Lara Rigby touches on her Below Deck Down Under feud with Tzarina Mace-Ralph

As we watch the dynamics shift between Lara and Tzarina, both women have mentioned working together on another yacht. According to Tzarina, she and Lara held a complicated working dynamic on this vessel. According to Lara, however, she and Tzarina were friendly, so this narrative is “a bit of a shock” for her, seeing Tzarina recall this differently.

Thinking they were on good terms, Lara made the “weird Barbie” joke at the start of this season. That “joke was not to cause Tzarina harm,” Lara explained. Instead, Lara tried to keep the air light by ribbing her friend at the start of this season.

When Lara checked out of this narrative, she felt “done at that point,” as “too much had happened that I couldn’t look past. It was all about self-preservation. I needed to finish the season and get the job done, and I just needed good energy around me,” Lara stressed.

Post-filming, Lara has received a lot of online hate. Thankfully, Tzarina supported Lara with a call for a ceasefire. But did Tzarina also reach out to Lara? “No, she did not,” Lara answered.

Regardless, Lara is thankful for her support. She also indicated that we have seen the worst of her issues with Tzarina. “I think the fire has happened, and now, it’s just about calming it down,” she said.

Lara Rigby also dished on Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason Chambers, Marina Marcondes de Barros, and Wihan du Toit

As Season 3 progresses, Lara is feeling unseen by Captain Jason. Their relationship “is tricky,” Lara admitted. Captain Jason and Tzarina were “already close,” leaving Lara feeling alone.

By the end of this season, they “worked it out. If we had more time, it would have been a great working relationship,” Lara admitted.

Now, Lara and Captain Jason are in a solid place. They “talk a lot. He’s a good person. I enjoy his company. I think he’s a great captain,” Lara emphasized.

Now that Lara has placed Marina on service detail, her interior department has found a nice groove on BDDU. “Marina and I never really had any issues at work,” Lara stressed. Nevertheless, “People think I just kept her in the dungeon,” she joked. Lara also acknowledged that Marina has “a great work ethic,” as she is “very hardworking and capable.”

In contrast, Lara feels no love lost for Wihan du Toit. “It was very clear to see that he didn’t take accountability for anything he did because he told quite a few different stories of what happened that night,” Lara recalled, touching on the night before his firing.

Lara Rigby reflects on what she would do differently while teasing her future in the Med with Below Deck Mediterranean chef Johnathan Shillingford

If Lara could go back and refilm Below Deck Down Under Season 3, there is one aspect she would change. “The standards I hold myself to on my usual yachts are extremely high. But, if I could go back, I would probably relax more and let things play out without being so concerned about everything being absolutely perfect,” Lara confessed.

“I think that probably would have made my journey and other people’s journeys a lot easier because [high standards are] very important to me, and sometimes that can come across as controlling.”

Since time travel is sadly not a thing, Lara is now looking full speed ahead. Next, Lara will join chef Johnathan Shillingford, a beloved character from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, on an unfilmed yacht in the Med. Lara is excited for “a fun season together.”

When we told Lara that Chef Jono twerked for us, she laughed, saying twerking was not one of her skills. She can, however, “speak with a mouth full of water.” You learn something new every day!

Lara leaves us with one final word: “Below Deck is a TV show. It’s real people’s lives. Everyone makes mistakes. But bullying is just an absolute no-no,” Lara accentuated. That’s a statement we here at Reality Tea co-sign.

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. BDDU also streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
