Tonight, Below Deck Down Under Season 4 premieres. And when it does, several familiar faces will be at the helm. This season, Captain Jason Chambers clearly scored a major win with the casting department. But even though he’s getting the cream of this franchise’s crop, problems will still arise onboard.

This season, Captain Jason’s right-hand lady is none other than Daisy Kelliher, who jumped ship from Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Since the fate of BDSY remains unknown, this opportunity is a great one for Daisy. That is, as long as her interior team can also rise to the occasion.

Meanwhile, João Franco is walking onboard as the exterior department head. Now, João has appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean and BDDU. And thankfully, he and Daisy seemingly get along this season, based on everything we’ve read so far.

Finally, in the galley, Ben Robsinson is making his way out of retirement. Ben hasn’t worked on a yacht in years. But this season, Captain Jason needed a last-minute replacement, and luckily for him, Ben just so happened to be free.

Clearly, with three returning department heads, consider fans ready for BDDU Season 4. But what have these OGs teased about this all-star season?

Daisy Kelliher says Chef Ben Robinson “challenged” her on Below Deck Down Under Season 4

As seen in the trailer, Daisy and Ben have never worked together before. And after this season, they may never work together again. Unless, that is, you take Ben’s words over Daisy’s.

To explain, when asked at BravoCon how Season 4 went, Daisy made sure to note that Ben “challenged [her] in every way possible.” However, “at first, he was great. But then I learned he couldn’t tell time, so that was a big problem when it came to dinner service,” she explained. At her side, Ben rolled his eyes in good humor, and then he challenged Daisy’s stance.

“I’m English. Different timezone,” Ben quipped. Daisy laughed, but then she further explained that their relationship this season was “interesting.” Because in addition to his failed “timekeeping,” Ben also behaves “like a guest” this season, Daisy revealed, noting her shock that Ben wasn’t wearing one of their guests’ robes while sitting on this panel.

So, what rubbed Ben the wrong way about Daisy? “Nothing really, to be honest,” Ben answered. “Actually, I thought we had a great relationship. I’m completely blindsided.”

But the way João, Daisy, and even Ben immediately started laughing teases otherwise. Whatever happens here, at least they can all laugh about it now. However, the verdict is still out on Alesia Harris’s take. As of now, her statements about BDDU Season 4 are limited.

Daisy and João Franco have a strong connection

On this same BravoCon panel, the moderator noted that Daisy seemed to share a strong bond with João, at least according to the trailer. When pressed about whether it was “love or lust at first sight” with João, Daisy stammered. After admitting that her “adrenaline [was] going so fast,” Daisy finally acknowledged that their bond was more of “a slow build.”

“I’m a slow builder, so I don’t wanna give too many spoilers away,” Daisy continued. “But João and I had a great relationship, we’re friends,” she stressed. Yet, when saying the word “friends,” Daisy did so flirtatiously, making João laugh on their shared stage. Apart from his laughter, João didn’t add anything extra to Daisy’s statement, but we do know that, whatever happens, João is already back with his ex, whose name is not Daisy.

Regardless, after their cameras went down, Daisy appeared on Watch What Happens Live. While here, she reiterated that she and João “worked well as a team.” And, as far as João goes, last October, he teased, “THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE CRAZY RIDE!!”

He was speaking about their crossover episodes with the cast of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. And as João further stressed, “Can’t wait until you all see our side of these episodes.” Fans won’t have to wait very long for this, as these hot messes are the very first charter guests of Season 4.

Captain Jason Chambers promises “dynamics” shifting in the BDDU crew

Between the hot and cold pairings of his department heads, Captain Jason might experience a turbulent season. Or not. Captains never really see the drama until each season airs. Even still, he admits that he’s lucky to have such capable yachties on board.

As Captain Jason explained to TV Insider, this season, Daisy thankfully “blew it right out of the park. Her process, of wanting to perform at her best, is all we can ask for, and she did. First and foremost, she wants to do her job very well. That’s all you can ask from the cruise.”

Regarding Ben and João, these yachties also gained Captain Jason’s trust. But the crew dynamics as a whole will either sink or swim this season, he admits.

“I think the crew dynamic that goes on, I can only imagine what happened off the boat because I hadn’t seen it myself. What I see we put together and what we came out with, I had to understand what was happening. I’m [mostly] worried about what is happening at work, but you could see the dynamics shift so many times with the crew. But at the end of the day, in front of the house, we were spot on with the charter guests,” Captain Jason detailed.

He continued, “You’re going to see João’s character come out, Daisy’s, and all the crew that participated. All of them have a great story to tell. I think we got there in the end.”

In the captain, she specifically mentioned Daisy Kelliher and Fraser Olender, two of her fellow Chief Stews from this series. “All aboard! Join Hannah, Daisy, Fraser & friends—the best chief stews on the sea—for an unforgettable 4-night cruise filled with karaoke, trivia, exclusive meet & greets, and endless fun!” Hannah penned.

Setting sail from Miami, you can join these yachties for “3 days of parties, luxury dining, tropical islands & once-in-a-lifetime moments with your favorite reality TV stars.” But, there are “Limited rooms available – don’t miss the boat! Book now,” Hannah stressed.

Aside from Hannah, Daisy, Eddie, and Fraser, Ashling Lorger will also be present. This stew appeared on Below Deck during Season 8. Hopefully, she will not drain the hot tubs on this ship. IYKYK.

Lucy Edmunds and Alli Dore are also joining in on the fun. Their reunion with their former Chief Stew, Daisy, will likely create many fun moments on the Lido deck of this ship. Even though these gals starred on separate seasons, they both experienced messy love triangles during filming. So hopefully, this trip sets sail on smoother, far less complicated waters.

Speaking of setting sail, Bárbara Kulaif just finished filming on Below Deck. In the comments, she expressed an interest in joining this trip. “I wanna go,” she wrote. We hope Bravo takes note, because Bárbara could use this break, since her season treated her so poorly.

All of these iterations make for great escapism sessions, filled with drama, laughs, and arguments that make us thankful to be on our couches, not dealing with these issues. Making this franchise even greater, all of these series feature a competent captain. However, certain seasons within these spin-offs have highlighted how strong these leaders are in times of distress.

Which Below Deck season had the best captain ranked

Before we detail which season each skipper shone the brightest, we have to note Below Deck Adventure is done. With only one season to speak of in this now-defunct spin-off, we will leave this series untouched. However, since this leader is now starring in a different series of this franchise, he will still appear on this list.

Each has filmed (at least) one season that highlights their abilities. If you are seeking to watch each leader at their best, here they are, ranked from their solid to superior showings on Below Deck.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3, Captain Glenn Shephard

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is five seasons in, each led by Captain Glenn Shephard. However, Season 3 of BDSY is by far the best season featuring his leadership skills.

Despite the challenges faced during BDSY Season 3, including a severe storm, a firing, and a grounding incident, Captain Glenn maintained a calm demeanor. Additionally, he trusted his department heads to do their jobs, so micromanaging was never an issue during Season 3. And when a charter guest ruined a $50k couch after a self-tanning session, he ate a huge wafer, and then he dealt with the primary, who assured him they would cover the costs. But much to their relief, Captain Glenn helped scrub this stain out, which made fans root harder for him.

Below Deck Season 11, Captain Kerry Titheradge

After jumping ship from Below Deck Adventure, Captain Kerry Titheradge stepped into the wheelhouse of Below Deck. He has only starred in this series for two seasons. Yet, it was Below Deck Season 11 that made fans take note who came aboard with a personable presence, making his team feel at ease.

When his crew experienced emotional days, Captain Kerry spoke about mental health matters, letting everyone know they were never alone on his watch. He even took one of his crew members out on the eFoil board, knowing that the salty waters and sunshine would help heal her frustrations. But when push came to shove, Captain Kerry was quick to either fire someone, or roll up his sleeves and help each department out. Below Deck Season 11 changed the trajectory of this series, and we only have Captain Kerry to thank.

Below Deck Season 6, Captain Lee Rosbach

If you have always watched Below Deck, then you likely remember Ashton Pienaar. In Season 6, a line used to tow tender boats wrapped around Ashton’s ankle, pulling him into the ocean. Captain Lee Rosbach quickly took the boat out of gear, while his crew, aided by a cameraman, loosened the tow line. Once his ankle was no longer bound, a shaken Ashton swam to the nearby tender.

Growing emotional, Captain Lee sat everyone down for a teachable moment, showing them a video replay of Ashton’s accident. Here, everyone learned that the deckhand was just seconds away from his foot getting severed by the line. This event would have seen Ashton bleeding out in the water. Below Deck Season 6 aired a stirring, quick-thinking side of Captain Lee that is proving difficult to erase from memory.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 2, Captain Sandy Yawn

Captain Sandy Yawn excelled in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 2. During what was supposed to be a controlled anchor drop, Bobby Giancola released far more than the five shackles Captain Sandy called for. Captain Sandy, therefore, yelled for Bobby to stop. In a confessional, Bobby explained that he “sucks at math.”

“I’m not going to get down on Bobby. He already knows he screwed up, so after this charter, we’ll talk about it,” explained a very calm Captain Sandy. When the guests departed, she did exactly that, working with Bobby on translating shackles to meters.

Any other boss might have lost their cool. Bobby’s error could have caused expensive damage to the yacht. Therefore, this highly teachable moment in BDM Season 2 is one of Captain Sandy’s highest highs yet.

Below Deck Down Under Season 2, Captain Jason Chambers

Captain Jason Chambers is a fan-favorite kind of man, especially following the disaster that was Below Deck Down Under Season 2. During this season, Captain Jason received praise for how well he handled two different sexual assaults on his watch. He made it clear that there was an absolute zero-tolerance policy on unwanted advances. Then, he immediately fired the offenders, which made viewers respect him even more.

Apart from this dark incident, Captain Jason also did a solid job leading the crew during BDDU Season 2. He fired several crew members, and then he softened his voice for those in distress. He even had some interesting fashion choices, which is (really) all that needs to be said. Captain Jason wins, as proven by his exceptional BDDU Season 2 leadership.

Below Deck Down Under Season 3 is still airing on Bravo, but that minor detail is not stopping the network from releasing intel on their currently filming Season 4. Based on the one image and explainer statement released, we now know that Daisy Kelliher, Chef Ben Robinson, and the entire cast of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are all coming on board!

As BDDU Season 3 continues sailing into murky waters, take heart as a (hopefully) brighter Season 4 is underway. From crossovers to returning fan favorites on this newer Below Deck spin-off, fans are excited for Season 4 of BDDU. Let’s break down what Bravo just released.

Daisy Kelliher and Chef Ben Robinson are joining the cast of Below Deck Down Under Season 4

Bravo just did us a solid favor over on Instagram. We will get to the Real Housewives aspect in just a second. But first, look at this image. Immediately, you will see Daisy and Chef Ben standing at the side of Captain Jason Chambers.

Last year, Chef Ben hinted at his interest in returning to this franchise. His wishes have just come true, as Chef Ben is now on the yacht filming for BDDU Season 4. Sadly, this does mean that Tzarina Mace-Ralph is likely out. Unless she presents as his sous-chef, but it feels unlikely.

Chef Ben appeared in Seasons 1 through 4 of Below Deck. He has also starred in Season 1 and then Season 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean. His British wit, sass, and charm make for excellent television. But his skills in the galley set him apart, as almost every dish he puts out, the guests have loved.

We have not seen Chef Ben in ages. Having this man back on our screens in Season 4 of BDDU feels like an early Christmas gift, which we are eager to unwrap. But, can Chef Ben get along with Daisy, who is jumping ship from Below Deck Sailing Yacht to star alongside him on BDDU?

We hope so. Viewers want nothing more than for Daisy to leap and land into a safe and productive filming environment via BDDU.

The entire cast of RHOSLC Season 6 is also coming on board for a Below Deck Down Under Season 4 charter

The last time we saw the ladies of RHOSLC, they were wading through their shifting friendships at the Season 5 reunion. Now, these women are filming on a yacht, blessing our lives with the first crossover of its kind on Bravo. As the network penned on their recent social media reveal, “ALL CREW, ALL CREW… Little Girl!” Mary and her cohorts are now on board. “Below Deck Down Under Season 4 just started filming with a first-ever Real Housewives crossover charter featuring the” entire cast of RHOSLC Season 6, Bravo added, sending viewers to the comments within seconds.

Sure, Heather Gay has already guested on the seemingly defunct series, Below Deck Adventure. But now, she is returning to this franchise with her entire cast, which marks the first full crossover between these two franchises.

While we only see Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas in their recent social media post, their words stress that their entire cast is present. The others are likely off lounging somewhere. Or fighting.

Daisy Kelliher’s Below Deck Down Under move likely means Sailing Yacht will receive a cast shakeup

BDSY is entering uncharted waters. Daisy has starred in this series since Season 2. At her side were always two blokes, but in Season 4, a love triangle blew this longstanding friends group up. After this storyline sank our sails, Colin MacRae exited filming ahead of Season 5.

His exit saw Daisy and Gary King struggling to make peace in Season 5. But this storyline was the least of their problems. As headlines continued mounting against Gary, threatening the future of BDSY, producers had no choice but to edit Gary out of certain scenes. What used to be a favorite Below Deck spin-off is now dragging its anchor across Bravo, as fans are growing weary of the toxic norms that have infiltrated this series.

While Daisy has never claimed to be perfect, her leader, Captain Glenn Shephard, often sided with Gary. His “subconsciously” motivated decisions sometimes made this series even more difficult to digest. Moving forward, the only thing that could save this series is a reboot, which would have left Daisy out to sea on Bravo.

But now, Daisy has seemingly found her life raft. With a new home away from home on BDDU, BDSY is far likelier to receive a much-needed cast shakeup.

For five seasons, Gary King has been the heartthrob on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. The South African bosun has been involved in a love triangle and multiple boatmances. Viewers often watched as he drank a lot on crew nights out. However, after Season 4, Gary’s position on the series has been up in the air since a production assistant accused the First Officer of making unwanted sexual advances.  

What happened to Gary King?

Not long after Season 4 came to an end in August 2023, Gary was accused of misbehaving. A woman on the production team spoke out to Rolling Stone and implied the show and network covered up Gary’s sexual indiscretions. Samantha Suarez shared about Gary crossing the line with her more than once when she worked in the makeup department. She went as far as to allege that during Season 4, Gary tried to force himself onto her. Season 4 was filmed in Sardina back in 2022.

The cast and crew were put up in hotels, and Samantha was in charge of assisting the talent manager. This included keeping the cast sequestered in their room due to the COVID-19 rules. Samantha also revealed she was asked to walk an intoxicated Gary back to his room. She told the outlet, “There is no limit to alcohol consumption whatsoever, which I think poses a really big problem.” Once in his room, she shared that Gary asked her to climb into his bed. Samantha claimed she said, “I was like, ‘I have to go — I need to go bring other people water and food,’ and he’s like, ‘No, no, please.”

Gary King has a checkered past

The assistant said she told the Below Deck Sailing Yacht star “that she would sit outside his door to make sure he wouldn’t leave his hotel room.” As Samantha tried to leave, she claimed Gary went behind her and “grabbed her and pressed her against his body, and refused to let go even though she says she tried to kick and elbow him.” In his defense, Gary took to his Instagram, writing, “Sad to see this has all been edited out of tonight’s episode. Scary how ones persons lies can ruin someone’s career and livelihood.” Additionally, the network chose to cancel Gary and remove him from the BravoCon lineup in 2023. 

A year after the allegations, it was revealed that Gary, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and production companies 51 Minds and Endemol Shine are being sued. Samantha and camera operator Grey Duddleston have filed a lawsuit with the Superior Court of California. The lawsuit accuses the defendants of 16 claims, including sexual battery, assault, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and emotional distress. The complaint noted that on July 3, 2022, Gary allegedly held Samantha “hostage” as he restrained her from leaving the hotel room.

In the suit, Samantha shared she was “sure she would be raped” and that Gary kept rubbing her back and “smirking.” The defendant claimed she reported the incident to production, but Gary only received a warning. Then Grey reported seeing Gary “untie the bikini tops of two female cast members without their consent, make lewd remarks to a female audio technician, and grab the genitals of two male camera operators,” the complaint states. Grey reported what he saw over the crew’s walkie-talkie system, 51 Minds allegedly opened an investigation into inappropriate walkie-talkie use by Grey “rather than imposing consequences for King.” 

Gary, a “well-known drunkard and serial harasser,” was welcomed back to the show while Samantha and Grey were fired. The lawsuit claims that both women were placed on “do not hire” lists. These are “well known among the cast. And was typically reserved for crew members who had been kicked off the show for inappropriate behavior.” Since reporting the incidents, the two have claimed they have been unemployable. And their production careers have come to an end. Samantha and Grey are represented by Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos. The lawyers have filed a series of similar suits as part of the “Reality Reckoning.”

Below Deck Sailing Yacht bosun Gary King’s questionable behavior has finally caught up with him.

A former BDSY makeup artist has filed suit against both Bravo and Gary. She’s alleging that Gary sexually assaulted her while the show was filming back in 2022.

Reality Tea reported the production member’s allegations in August 2023. At the time, Samantha Suarez accused Gary of attempting to force himself on her during filming of BDSY Season 4.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Samantha alleges Gary acted inappropriately when she was asked to deliver a snack to his hotel room. In 2022, Covid restrictions required cast members to remain isolated in their rooms. In addition to makeup duties, Samantha delivered food and water to cast members isolated in their rooms.

When Samantha was in Gary’s room, she claims that he refused to allow her to leave. When she went to the door, she says he grabbed her, restraining her upper body and arms.

Gary had just finished filming some confessionals for the show, where he’d consumed unknown quantities of alcohol. It’s standard practice for producers to provide alcohol to cast members during interviews to make them more talkative.

Fearing she was about to be sexually assaulted, Samantha attempted to fight him off. She says he used his full weight to slam the door shut as she tried to leave, blocking her exit. Gary even suggested they should get into bed together, despite knowing she had a boyfriend. 

Fortunately, Samantha’s phone rang while she was attempting to free herself. When she answered it and Gary realized they could be overheard, he finally allowed her to leave.

Though he initially admitted his behavior, Gary later denied the story amid support from his crewmates and Captain Glenn Shephard.

The fallout of Gary’s alleged attack on a makeup artist

Samantha says her boyfriend, Grey Duddleston, a BDSY production member, also reported the incident. Though Gary admitted the accusations, both Samantha and Grey were eventually fired. They were also added to a “do not hire” list.

When Gary’s future on the popular franchise seemed in question, he tried to backtrack and deny he did anything wrong. Though he was uninvited from BravoCon 2023, he was still featured in BDSY Season 5, which had already completed filming. Not wanting to scrap an entire season already in the can, Gary’s scenes were reportedly edited for Season 5. He also turned on the charm for producers, “trying to stay” on television.

“I know [that I did nothing wrong],” he said, reversing his previous admission of guilt. “I know the truth, but it still hurts when people will tell lies to bring you down.”

Samantha is now suing Bravo and Gary for sexual battery, hostile work environment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and more. She is also seeking financial compensation.

TMZ reached out to NBC and Bravo, but received no comment in return.

On Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, junior stew Danni Warren was looking for love. In quick succession, she made out with first mate Gary King, spent the night with a random beach club worker Anthony, and attempted (unsuccessfully) to snare deckhand Keith Allen.

It was only toward the end of the season that Danni set her sights on replacement deckhand Chase Lemacks. Though they had a rocky relationship on the Parsifal III, they continued to date for about eight months following the end of the season.

Now Danni claims her relationship with Chase “went so toxic” before they eventually broke up.

Danni Warren details her and Chase Lemacks’ “toxic relationship”

Danni had a lot to say to the hosts of the British podcast Access All Areas. Bobby Norris and Ellen Coughlan got an earful.

“We would just fight all the time, over money,” she said. “We didn’t have any money. It was really brutal. We couldn’t afford to eat. I was struggling with health issues and stuff.” According to Danni, Chase was “focused on work,” while she was “in bed dying.”

Apparently, Danni went to visit Chase on his sailboat after the end of the charter season. Things must have gone well because she ended up staying and sailing all over the world with him. But life was less than perfect.

“I didn’t really have anything,” she explained. “I didn’t have my own money, [because] I gave it all to the boat.”

Eventually, Danni got a job and “went overseas [to] earn some money … Get a bit of my identity back.”

She thought being apart for a bit would help their relationship, and for a while, it seemed to. But then one day, the South African native decided to send her American boyfriend some spicy nude pics. But the photos had the opposite effect than she’d hoped.

“I got a phone call, saying, ‘I’m done with you,'” she said. Ouch.

After the ups and downs of their relationship on the boat, I didn’t expect them to continue to see each other. At the end of the season, Chase expressed a lack of trust in Danni. She admitted that she lied to him about her relationship with Anthony, and that didn’t sit well with Chase.

I’m actually surprised they lasted as long as they did.

But Danni and Chase still faced other obstacles. They could not talk about their post-filming plans without miscommunicating their expectations. And when their pasts entered the equation, whew, MESSES happened.

Then, when BDSY Season 5 wrapped, we learned that Danni and Chase officially dated. But where do these two now stand? And what happened onboard the Parsifal III that made their romance revelation so shocking?

Poor Emma Crouch. This deckhand got the axe in Episode 8. Her firing was valid, as she often failed to remember basic skills, such as knot tying and tender driving. When Emma finally walked the pier, Chase slid in to take over her vacated position.

But when Danni and Diana saw Chase, their white serving gloves came (somewhat) off. First, they both exclaimed how hot Chase was. Then, in her confessional, Danni stressed that she would not turn Chase down. She also noted that when she wants something, she “will fight to the death for it.”

As for Diana, she quipped, “Danni has had her chance with [so] many guys. Just step aside and give me a chance. It’s my time to shine.”

Back to Danni, she now wants to “climb him like a tree.” But Diana notes, “Welcome to the war.”

Over Chase? Really?

By Episode 10, both girls were giving Chase their best. However, the favor swung to Danni after she and Chase got sent out on an excursion to procure Rosé for their guests. They worked well together, Danni noted. Diana also tried to spend quality time with Chase, but Danni kept interrupting their chats, as she wanted that newly arrived fresh meat all to herself.

As we all know, Danni won this weird war.

A rocky boatmance forms between Danni Warren and Chase Lemacks

As Danni took her flirtatious moments with Chase to the next level, Daisy Kelliher, her boss, started seeing red. When guests are onboard, her stews must work, not cuddle in random corners of the yacht. But Danni also called out Daisy, telling her department head she was taking the joy out of yachting.

As Danni and Chase grew closer, the dynamics between Daisy and Danni remained off. But Danni and Chase shared equally frustrating vibes, taking the joy out of yachting for all of us.

Danni and Chase only knew each other for a handful of days, and Danni was already smitten. Several days in, she began asking questions about where they stood. As Chase stated, however, they agreed not to label this flirty boatmance. He was not yet ready to commit himself to anyone, especially not someone he had only known for two weeks.

This frustrated Danni. She had been romanticizing their romance in her head this entire time. But as Chase reminded her, they had plans after their cameras went down. And their plans were happening on opposite sides of the world, so making things work was borderline impossible. But instead of running away, Danni persisted, arguing that they could still make fetch happen.

Danni and Chase spent the rest of this season in an on-again, off-again-styled routine. They were either flirty friends or annoyed acquaintances. But in the finale, Chase finally admitted that he held real feelings for Danni. Yet, their schedules were not in alignment, so hopefully, they could at least leave this season on a positive note, he said.

As for Danni, she ended BDSY Season 5 with a joke. When asked about her plans after leaving this series, she said she wanted to make a boy fall in love with her. UGH.

Post-filming, Danni Warren and Chase Lemacks lived together on a sailboat, where their romance sank

As BDSY Season 5 wrapped, we learned that Danni and Chase went on to date. This reveal was shocking, as in the finale, Chase told Danni that he wanted to see her soon. However, he had plans to score a yacht master training certificate, which would then launch him into a five-year circumnavigation course via his boat. Chase had no time for a relationship, but Diana must have been like, wanna bet?

In a postscript update, the producers revealed that Danni prevailed. Even though Chase had plans to further his career, Danni took a risk and visited him on his boat. Things between them must have gone well because production stated they went on to date and sail together for roughly an entire year.

But sadly, production had tea more to spill. Danni and Chase eventually called their romance off. This note stopped here, failing to explain why Danni and Chase ended their relationship. And as this franchise is a tough one for reunions, this tea left us with many questions.

Thankfully, our inquiries were just (somewhat) answered.

Toxic rumors mount regarding the newly-failed boatmance between Danni Warren and Chase Lemacks

Unrelated, I love the combination of Daisy and Aesha Scott. Luckily (for me), these Chief Stews just appeared on Watch What Happens Live together. And now, all I want is a spin-off series featuring ONLY the long-term yachties from this franchise.

While Andy Cohen had these legends in his clubhouse, he noted that something must have happened recently between Danni and Chase. Andy suspected something was off, as when Danni was on WWHL a few weeks ago, her answers to his pre-planned games came across as less than favorable for her beloved deckhand.

So, Andy asked Aesha and Daisy if they had heard anything about this romance. “I’ve heard rumors,” Daisy answered. Throwing shade into her voice, Aesha then parroted this same statement. Choosing her voice as the narrator, Andy asked Aesha to elaborate.

“Apparently, they were on a sailboat, and things [got] really dark and toxic. And then they weren’t paying their sailboat repair man, so they had to flee town. And it got all really dark and twisted, and then they broke up,” Aesha explained.

Meanwhile, Daisy sat in shock, laughing and listening while wearing a WTF expression. She was only aware that their romance had turned toxic, she added.

But on Reddit, a fan of BDSY claimed to have intimate knowledge of this situation. “Chase and I have a few mutuals in common[,] and these mutuals have said Danni and Chase dated for 8 months after the season ended. Apparently[,] it was an extremely toxic relationship for Chase[,] and he ended it. There may have been some infidelity[,] and they did not end on good terms,” this thread read.

Yikes. This boatmance is now a bust.

In the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Finale, Gary King openly proclaimed his feelings for Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher.

In the past, Daisy has had something of a soft spot for Gary, even though his behavior can be problematic. He purposely came in between her and Season 4 love interest Colin MacRae. Season after season, he hooks up with one stew after another. However, his immaturity and excessive drinking make it hard for Daisy to take him seriously.

Gary’s pretty firmly stuck in the friend zone as far as Daisy is concerned. She cares about him as a friend, but that’s as far as it goes. But after telling Daisy he could see them together, are they even currently in touch?

On the Watch What Happens Live After Show following the BDSY finale, a fan had a question for Daisy. Judy from Long Island asked, “Do you have any idea if Gary’s taken his relationship with alcohol seriously in the off-season, especially since [Captain] Glenn confronted him about it tonight?”

“I don’t really know,” Daisy admitted. “I’ve heard murmurs … but that’s his relationship with alcohol and his thing. I try to stay out of it, [but] I hope he’s working on it.”

“Are you in touch with him right now?” host Andy Cohen asked.

“I would say, no,” Daisy responded. “It’s not like a ‘hard no’ that we’re not speaking to each other, we’re just not in touch.”

On the last crew night out in Ibiza, Gary once again confessed his feelings for Daisy. “I came into this season thinking, ‘I can reconcile my differences with Daisy,’” he said. “I wanted us to live a fairy tale life. We’ve had our ups and downs, but then we get together and live happily ever after. I have serious feelings for you.”

“Here we go again,” Daisy responded in frustration. “You can’t come at me saying that you have serious feelings … You say this sh*t, but you never act on it; you act so impulsively.”

Gary has some growing up to do. He may have dreams of being a captain someday, with Daisy by his side, but in reality, I suspect we’ve seen the last of Gary King.

There’s really nothing better than a boatmance, and on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, we’ve been watching Daisy Kelliher and Keith Allen fall for each other. As Season 5 came to a close, they kissed and promised to meet up to pick up in London to pick up on their romance. It felt like the ending of a romcom, but did they have a happy ending? Not really.

Daisy appeared on Watch What Happens Live after the Season 5 finale, and she revealed to Andy Cohen that things ultimately didn’t work out between her and Keith. However, you can’t say they didn’t try! The two yachties dated for an entire year after the cameras went down.

Why Daisy Kelliher and Keith Allen called it quits after a year

On WWHL, Daisy confirmed that she and Keith were no longer together after the Season 5 finale. She later spoke to Bravo’s The Daily Dish and shared more details about what happened. They did meet up in London after wrapping up production on Below Deck, but things fizzled out over the following months.

“Keith and I dated long distance for a year after filming, but ended after a year due to a few reasons, but mainly distance,” Daisy admitted.

Although the two are no longer romantically involved, it doesn’t sound like there are any hard feelings. This wasn’t the crash and burn that we’ve seen with other Below Deck boatmances. Daisy said they’re “still in touch quite frequently,” but she seems to be focusing on herself these days.

“I spend most of my time in London and travel in between,” Daisy added. “I am working on a few different projects and I am excited for the future!”
