Donna Kelce became the first Traitor to fall in The Traitors Season 4, Episode 3. In the premiere episode, The NFL mom was selected for a coveted new position in the castle: The Secret Traitor. Unlike the other Traitors, Donna worked in the shadows. Neither the players, the Traitors, nor viewers at home knew her identity. Her job was to produce a murder shortlist that was handed to the Traitors, informing them which players were available for murder.

In Episode 3, Donna’s reign of secrecy came to an end when she was banished at the roundtable. “You got yourselves a Traitor,” she exclaimed before exiting the castle. With Donna gone, the Secret Traitor role is officially back in play. So, which player should be chosen for this powerful role?

Our picks for who the next Traitor should be in Season 4

The Traitors Season 4

The Secret Traitor holds considerable power in the game. They determine who is in danger of being axed each episode, and they have the advantage of operating in secret. In previous seasons, the Traitors had to trust that their villainous teammates would not expose them at the roundtable. You would think the Traitors would have each other’s backs, but this has not been the case. In Season 2, Dan Gheesling threw his fellow Traitor, Phaedra Parks, to the wolves in an attempt to save his own game. The following season, “Boston Rob” Mariano did the same to his Traitorous ally, Bob the Drag Queen. So, yes, the Secret Traitor has quite the advantage here.

We don’t know for sure that a new Secret Traitor will be selected, but I suspect Donna will be replaced. Here are the individuals I believe are the top contenders…

Stephen Colletti

Stephen Colletti

Stephen Colletti is keeping a low profile on The Traitors, which will likely help him advance in the game. The Laguna Beach alum isn’t on anyone’s radar at the moment. The Faithfuls seem confident he is one of them, and the Traitors don’t seem to view him as an immediate threat. Although Stephen is perceived as non-threatening to his fellow players, it is clear to viewers at home that he is quite intelligent. It is evident in his confessionals that he has a solid understanding of the game and he appears keenly aware of the social dynamics within the castle. For these reasons, I think he would make a great Secret Traitor. I trust that he will be able to conceal his power, and convince his fellow players that he is merely a powerless faithful. Also, he is the only actor in the group, which may give him an advantage.

Tiffany Mitchell

Tiffany Mitchell

Tiffany Mitchell played a brilliant, strategic game on Big Brother 23. She didn’t win the game, but she earned a prestigious reputation within the Big Brother fandom. There is a reason that Survivor legend Rob Cesternino treated her with such reverence in The Traitors premiere. She really is a big deal within the gamers community.

I believe we are only seeing half of Tiffany’s abilities because of her current position as a Faithful. She is itching for some power, and I hope she gets it. The current Traitors are playing it safe, but I know Tiffany would shake up the game. She would considerable thought into who to put on the shortlist for murder. There is, however, one downside to choosing Tiffany. Unlike Stephen, she isn’t skating by unnoticed. Colton Underwood suspects she is a Traitor, which means she could be headed out the door soon if he brings his theory to the roundtable.

Colton Underwood

Speaking of Colton, he would also be a solid choice to replace Donna. The Bachelor alum has received praise for his perceptiveness and strategic ability, drawing comparisons to Traitors Season 2 standout Peter Weber. Colton didn’t come here to coast. And we want a Secret Traitor who is ready to get their hands dirty. It’s clear to us that Colton is a competitor, but his fellow players may not view him that way. He is best known for being on a dating show, so his cast mates not view him as a strategic threat. His background could help him conceal his role as the Secret Traitor.

The Traitors is available to stream on Peacock.

Derrick is an elite Big Brother winner. He is often regarded as one of the best players of all time, joining the ranks of other BB greats such as Dan Gheesling and Dr. Will Kirby. Derrick played a stealthy game. He aligned early with Cody. who helped carry out Derrick’s masterful plans by securing competition wins. The two eliminated their competitors with tact and precision, and managed not to piss people off while doing so, an impressive achievement in the BB house. Derrick won Season 16 with a 7 to 2 vote on finale night. Cody received criticism for bringing Derrick to the final two. Fans felt he had a clear path to victory if he chose Victoria Rafaeli, but he stuck by his choice to stay loyal to Derrick.

Big Brother will celebrate 25 years on air this year with the release of its 27th season. This summer, a new batch of players, more commonly known as “houseguests,” will enter the BB house in the hopes of walking away $750,000 richer. The upcoming season has me reminiscing about previous BB seasons. They weren’t all winners, but a number of seasons fulfilled viewers’ high expectations.

Top 10 best Big Brother seasons

A great cast, electric gameplay, the absence of a majority alliance. These are the elements of a top-tier Big Brother season. There are quite a few seasons that fans reference when engaging in the “best season of all time” debate. In honor of the upcoming season, let’s take a look back at some of the contenders.

10. Big Brother 4

Big Brother 4

Big Brother 4 ushered in many firsts for the competition show. It was the first time the jury was sequestered, which meant Alison Irwin and Jun Song were free to annihilate their fellow houseguests in confessionals without the threat of losing jury support. It was also the first time viewers witnessed two players having sex in the house. Shout out Amanda and David for showing no concern about your digital footprint! In addition to the milestones, Season 4 featured the insane “exes twist,” which placed pairs of exes in the house together. The twist was a bit sadistic, but it made the season fascinating. The eliminations felt more personal, and the drama in the house was plentiful.

9. Big Brother 5

Big Brother 5

The Season 5 cast came to play. The group wasn’t interested in biding their time with meaningless small talk or spending the summer by the pool. They were schemers from day one. Season 5 featured a lot of great gameplay, most notably Nakomis Dedmon’s brilliant Six Finger Plan that sent competition beast Jase Wirey out of the house via the “backdoor method.” Nakomis’ method became a staple of Big Brother. Every year, at least one HOH tried to eliminate a physical threat through the backdoor rather than nominating them from the jump. Her impact on the game is unmatched.

8. Big Brother 24

Big Brother 24

Big Brother 24 is my pick for the best winner’s arc of all-time. Taylor Hale was supposed to be the first boot, but a player’s unexpected withdrawal from the game saved her from elimination. She was given a second chance, but her road to victory was far from easy. She faced a great deal of bullying in the house. Players excluded her from alliances, whispered behind her back, and blamed her for Paloma Aguilar’s sudden exit from the game. Fans rallied behind Taylor, but doubted her survival in the game. She was at the bottom of the totem poll, making her chance at victory slim. However, her luck changed about halfway through the game when a group of players decided to include her in a majority alliance. “The Leftovers” dominated the game and gave Taylor her power back.

7. Big Brother 2

Season 1 of Big Brother was bizarre. It was pretty much a popularity contest where fans at home controlled who stayed in the house. Thankfully, the show revised its format after a disastrous first season. Season 2 felt like a whole new show. The players decided who left the game, transforming the series from a likability contest to a cutthroat, competition show.

6. Big Brother 14

Big Brother 14

Big Brother 14 had all the elements of a great Big Brother season. The cast was fun, the gameplay was smart, and there were countless dramatic moments. BB14 turned out to be one of the greatest seasons of all time, but it was a slow burn. The game heated up once a twist allowed the returning players, also known “the coaches,” to enter the game. Unleashing Dan Gheesling on a group of newbies made for great television. He used his charm to manipulate his competitors, making false deals left and right. His broken promises came back to bite him in the end when a scorned jury elected to reward newbie Ian Terry with the grand prize.

5. Big Brother 17

Big Brother 17

The “new era” of Big Brother receives a lot of criticism from viewers. Fans complain that new players are too skittish, opting to hide within a majority alliance rather than making a big move. While I agree Big Brother has lost a bit of its magic, I believe there are few seasons that defy the “new era” curse. Big Brother 17 is one of them. The season was wildly entertaining. Alliances and power dynamics were constantly in flux, making it impossible for one player to control the game. Most of the houseguests weren’t beholden to loyalty, which prevented a huge alliance from taking form. Season 17 also featured my favorite agent of chaos, Vanessa Rousso.

4. Big Brother 20

Big Brother 20

Season 20 is also a great “new era” season. In fact, it’s probably the best season released in the last ten years. The season featured a split house, which viewers always love. The power shifted from one alliance to the other, keeping fans on their toes. The lack of a majority alliance was enough to make BB20 stand out, but that wasn’t the only great about this new era season. The twists were good, which isn’t always the case with Big Brother. They added to the gameplay rather than hindered a player’s ability. The season also featured some great strategic gameplay, mostly thanks to robbed king Tyler Crispen.

3. Big Brother 6

Big Brother 6

Big Brother 6, like BB20, featured a divided house that loathed each other. The Friendship alliance vs. The Sovereign Six alliance is one of the best feuds in BB history. BB6 was pretty much perfect. The cast featured heroes and villains, the challenges were brutal, and the gameplay was masterful.

2. Big Brother 10

Big Brother 10

Season 10 follows all the rules that make for a great Big Brother season. The cast is kooky, the twists are minimal, and the winner is a G.O.A.T. Dan Gheesling’s historic win in BB10 is unforgettable. He played a damn near perfect game, making it to the end without a single eviction vote cast against him. He became the first winner to receive a unanimous vote, solidifying his reputation as the best big brother player of all-time. Also, Keesha’s birthday!!

1. Big Brother 7

Big Brother 7

In my opinion, BB7 will always reign supreme. There are a few seasons that have come close to dethroning the beloved first all-stars but to me, Season 7 cannot be topped. The gameplay was top tier, which is no surprise considering the cast was comprised of Big Brother greats. I cannot think of a single flaw. Oh wait, Mike Boogie wins. Ok, yeah, that’s one. But aside from that, it’s perfect!

The Traitors Season 4 cast list is here! The upcoming season features 22 new contestants, including former Real Housewife Lisa Rinna, Rob Rausch, Survivor legend Rob Cesternino, and many more. Dorinda Medley is the first returning cast member. The Bravo star will have a second chance at victory after being the Traitors’ first victim in Season 3. Now that the cast list is public, let’s unpack it together and decipher who has the best (and worst) shot at taking home the prize pot.

The Traitors Season 4 cast includes these potential winners

Winning The Traitors is not an easy task. The path to win is all about balance. Players should be vocal at the roundtable, but not too vocal. If they are overly chatty, the Faithfuls will suspect they are attempting to throw the group off their scent. If they are silent, the Traitors will feel they have no use for them. They can’t use them as a scapegoat, so why keep them around? It’s a tricky game. One that requires a lot of strategic and social skill. There are a few players in the Season 4 cast that stood out to me as potential frontrunners. I believe these players have what it takes to make it to the end. Let’s take a look.

Rob Cesternino

Rob Cesternino is often regarded as one of the smartest Survivor players of all time. He loves the game and has studied it well. He knows how to navigate the social politics of competition shows, mastering the art of floating between two alliances.

I feel a little silly for picking a Survivor player as my Traitors winner pick. Usually, they don’t fare too well on the Peacock show. Season after season, we’ve seen Survivor greats tarnish their reputation on The Traitors, but I have faith in Rob. He’s respected in the Survivor world, but his name doesn’t carry the same weight as “Boston Rob” Mariano or Tony Vlachos. He’s also easier to get along with and doesn’t have a huge ego. I think he has what it takes to win it all.

Tiffany Mitchell

Tiffany Mitchell was the smartest player on Big Brother 23 and the favorite to win. Unfortunately, her threat level made her path to victory difficult, and she narrowly missed out on the $750,000 prize. Fans have been pitching Tiffany’s name to Peacock for years. Thankfully, our prayers were finally answered. I am hesitant to put her on this list after watching how other Big Brother masterminds fared in the Scottish castle, but Tiffany is her own woman. Danielle Reyes and Dan Gheesling may have flopped but she could emerge victorious. Here’s hoping Tiffany makes BB fans proud this season!

Colton Underwood

Former Bachelors have a surprisingly high success rate on The Traitors. Arie Luyendyk Jr. made it to the finale in Season 1 and Peter Weber was an unexpected strategic powerhouse. Maybe it’s the unbridled confidence that being insanely good looking provides you.

I suspect Colton Underwood will do well on The Traitors. He’s athletic, so he’ll likely secure a few shields and help improve the prize pot. He’s also charming, which will help him at the roundtables. He doesn’t give Traitors energy and I suspect he won’t be targeted early on.

The Traitors Season 4 cast also includes these players who have no shot

In addition to the players I saw as frontrunners, there were a few players who stood out for the opposite reason. Players who I think will have a difficult time making it to finale night for various reasons. Some may say too much at the roundtables, others may be too appeasing, making them a nice target for the Traitors. Here are the players I think have no shot to win.

Maura Higgins

Maura Higgins

Maura Higgins is extremely charming and likable, but I suspect her affable personality may be a double-edged sword in the castle. I predict she’ll have a similar trajectory to Chrishell Stause from Season 3. I think she will go far as a Faithful, but eventually, the Traitors will realize she’s never getting banished. They’ll kill her in the night, ending her shot at victory. Maura may have a shot at victory if she’s selected as a Traitor. I would love to see that. But something tells me she’ll be chosen as a Faithful.

Lisa Rinna

Lisa Rinna is gifted at making enemies and pissing people off. I love that about her but I suspect her brash delivery will make her a target in the castle. She dishes out accusations and stirs up drama like it’s nothing, which I suspect it may anger some of her cast mates. I think the Traitors will see the benefit of keeping her around, but I think it’s only a matter of time before she is banished at the roundtable. I just don’t see a path to victory for this Bravo star.

Rob Rausch

Rob Rausch has a lot of opinions and I predict he’ll make them known at the roundtable. The Love Island USA star will likely lead some of the roundtables and throw out some accusations. It may benefit him in the short run, but it will eventually catch up with him. My guess is that he’ll correctly identify a Traitor but not be able to get them out on his first try, which will seal his fate once nightfall arrives.

The Traitors US is available to stream on Peacock.

The Big Brother spinoff, Big Brother Reindeer Games, was a welcome departure for fans of the long-running series. Host Julie Chen-Moonves announced the Christmas-themed competition show during a Big Brother 25 live eviction episode, calling it a “holiday surprise” for fans. At the time, CBS was dealing with scheduling concerns due to the WGA Strike, leaving a hole in programming for unscripted shows to fill. The Big Brother spinoff ran for one season in the winter of 2023 but did not return the following year.

BB fans loved Reindeer Games and have been vocal about their desire to see the show return. We don’t know much about the show’s future, but producers have dropped a few hints. Here’s what we know.

What is Big Brother Reindeer Games?

Big Brother Reindeer Games aired on CBS from December 11, 2023 – December 21, 2023. The short-lived series featured nine returning players who competed for a $100,000 grand prize. Additionally, three more beloved players returned to host the series. Derek Xiao, Jordan Lloyd, and Tiffany Mitchell served as “Elf Ambassadors,” who guided the players through a series of challenges.

A November 2023 press release described the show as “a new game with a new set of rules and a cast of BB legends who will compete through the most Holiday-riffic competitions to win the grand prize and save the holidays.”

Will Big Brother Reindeer Games ever return?

Fans loved the holiday-themed season and we’re hoping the series would continue, but sadly, the competition show was cut after Season 1. Big Brother producers told Entertainment Weekly that CBS’ packed schedule is the reason the spinoff could not return.

“Because we started so late this season and CBS’ fall schedule starts so late this season, everything just pushes back,” Executive Producer Rich Meehan told the outlet. “So if there’s not airtime, there’s not much you can do for that.”

However, it is possible the show will return in the future. Producers told EW they would like to bring the show back if scheduling allows for it.

“Reindeer Games is one of our favorite things that we’ve done recently,” he said. “It was really fun and we thought it worked really well.”

Executive Producer Allison Grodner echoed Rich’s sentiment, telling the outlet “Maybe next year.”

“Hopefully, we’re in a new year and everything looks like it’s going to be smooth sailing and everything’s worked out, so hopefully, maybe next year. That’s the goal,” she said.

Who won Season 1 of Big Brother Reindeer Games?

Big Brother 18 winner Nicole Franzel took home the $100,000 grand prize on the December 21, 2023 finale of Reindeer Games. The Michigan native won an impressive number of competitions that helped her eliminate her targets and get to the finale.

She spoke about her win in a December 2023 interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying the victory felt “special.”

“I feel like the Reindeer Games was so special because I had to do it completely myself,” she said. “There was no one. I had to win competitions. It wasn’t a vote. It wasn’t down to who’s friends with who. There wasn’t any really lying or backstabbing. It was just making genuine friendships and trying to win competitions when you needed to.”

She shared that the fast-paced nature of the series made it more challenging than a regular BB season.

“It was way harder than an actual Big Brother. I played [Big Brother] three times and the Reindeer Games was so fast and so much that it took a lot more on emotionally — especially because I loved everyone in there too, so it was really hard not having an enemy,” she said.

What Big Brother alums should appear on the show?

Fans have kept busy during the show’s hiatus by creating their dream cast list for Season 2. Big Brother winners Derrick Levasseur and Dan Gheesling regularly pop up on those lists. The aforementioned players are known as being two of the best BB players of all time, so it’s no surprise fans want to see them on the spinoff show. In addition to Dan and Derrick, fans want to see BB17 mastermind Vanessa Rousso and fan favorite Da’Vonne Rogers test their competition skills on the series.

Big Brother is available to stream on Paramount+.

Reality TV fanatics were excited when Big Brother legend Danielle Reyes was cast on Season 3 of The Traitors. The 53-year-old is known for her ability to manipulate and outsmart her opponents, so fans had high hopes she would perform well on the Peacock show. Unfortunately, Danielle’s Traitors performance has been far from impressive. She’s made some pretty big errors and many viewers believe her chance to win is non-existent.

Danielle is not the only Big Brother player who didn’t fare well in Alan Cumming’s Scottish castle. Big Brother winners Cody Calafiore and Dan Gheesling also didn’t do so hot despite their reputations. It begs the question, Why are Big Brother legends so bad at The Traitors?

I have a few theories…

Big Brother players have big egos on The Traitors

Danielle Reyes

Big Brother players enter the castle confident in their ability to outsmart the competition. The Traitors casts reality stars from a variety of reality shows, including some non-competition-based series like Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules. BB players usually underestimate contestants who don’t come from a competition show, believing it will be easy to deceive them but that is often not the case. In Season 2, it was Real Housewives star Larsa Pippen who first suspected Dan Gheesling was a Traitor.

BB stars enter the castle with a motive. They want to preserve their reputation as one of the greats and secure another competition win, but sometimes, they let their ego derail their game.

Big Brother alum Will Kirby (who has yet to appear on The Traitors) shared why he believes BB players struggle to find success in the castle in a 2024 interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“I think some Big Brother players went on The Traitors to show that they ‘still got it’ — only to realize that they actually ‘never had it,'” he told the outlet. “It takes an extremely unique skill set to do well on these types of shows, and anyone can get lucky once, but it’s really hard to repeat that success.”

I think Danielle, Cody, and Dan’s success on Big Brother can be attributed to more than luck. Each of the aforementioned players made their mark on the CBS show because they are master strategists, but I agree with Will that the pressure of proving they “still got it” is why they flop on The Traitors.

Big Brother players don’t change their strategy on The Traitors

The Traitors

Another reason BB players are unsuccessful on The Traitors is that they don’t change their strategy. There are similarities between the two games but they aren’t the same beast. The route to win Big Brother doesn’t work on a show like The Traitors. The BB players that appear on the Peacock show always feel a need to either control the Traitors Turret or be vocal at the roundtables, which I find so puzzling. There is no prize for making big moves on The Traitors.

There is only one explanation I can think of. It is possible that BB players are so used to having to persuade a jury that it messes with their heads. A BB jury doesn’t like to reward players who skate through undetected. But that is what The Traitors is all about. If you want someone out of the game, you let someone else do the talking. BB players struggle to take a backseat to the action. They want to make grand speeches, but that usually doesn’t fare well in the castle.

Big Brother players can’t get themselves out of trouble on The Traitors

The Traitors

Disguising your threat level is an element of Big Brother, but you can still succeed in the game once you’ve been outed as a “game player.” If a player becomes a target, there are a few ways they can evade elimination. They can win a Head of Household or Veto competition, which will protect them from being voted out. They can also make deals with the other houseguests, persuading them to vote in their favor.

There are fewer ways to evade capture on The Traitors. Once the players suspect you are a Traitor, there is no reason to keep you around. The format of the game makes it impossible to make silly mistakes. Big Brother is such a long game that there is room to recover from a blunder, but that luxury is absent from The Traitors. It’s a fast-moving train with little room for error.

Of course, Danielle is still going strong, as is Britney Haynes. Despite the criticisms, maybe they’re about to end the curse? Time will tell…

The Traitors is available to stream on Peacock.

Most Big Brother seasons crown a deserving winner that fans are pleased to see take home the grand prize. But once in a while, a BB finale causes an uproar among fans who feel a certain houseguest was robbed of victory. Usually, this occurs because the jury cannot set aside their grievances. Jury management is a crucial part of a good Big Brother game and some players fall short when it comes to appeasing their fellow houseguests.

So, who are these Big Brother players who caused a stir in the fandom? Keep reading to find out.

Danielle Reyes deserved to win Big Brother 3

Danielle Reyes is the Robbed Goddess of Big Brother. Fans often refer to her as “the best to never win,” and her loss to Lisa Donahue in Season 3 has been a source of controversy among the fandom since 2002.

Dani played a masterful game, but her snarky confessionals cost her the $500,000 prize. In Big Brother 3, the jury was not sequestered, meaning the eliminated houseguests went home and saw her trash them on national television. Her confessionals soured the jury’s perception of her as a player. When finale night arrived, they chose to reward Lisa’s sweetness. Dani’s loss caused such an uproar that Big Brother began sequestering the jury the following season.

Dan Gheesling deserved to win Big Brother 14

Dan Gheesling schemed his way to victory in Big Brother 10 but wasn’t so lucky in Big Brother 14. The Michigan native made a series of bold moves that landed him in the final two chairs. But his lack of jury management cost him the win. His fellow players did not appreciate his manipulative gameplay strategy and chose to crown newbie Ian Terry. While Ian played a solid game, many fans criticized the BB14 jury for not giving Dan the win, especially after he staged one of the most brilliant coups in Big Brother history – Dan’s funeral.

Dan spoke about the loss in an interview with Big Brother Network in 2012. He told the outlet he felt “disappointed” by the jury.

“It’s unfortunate because the only thing I wanted, and maybe I’ll never know, all I wanted was a fair shake at four votes. Four people with an open mind to consider it,” he said. “What really, it didn’t bother me, but disappointing was I heard after the fact was Jenn voted based on solely because she didn’t want to give the game to someone else who had won it before as compared to someone on the merit of how they played the game. That was disappointing to me as a player and a lover of the game.”

Paul Abrahamian deserved to win Big Brother 18 and Big Brother 19

Paul Abrahamian made it to the finale of Big Brother 18 and Big Brother 19, but he was never able to convince a jury. The Clothing Designer was effective at rallying votes, making deals, and winning challenges when needed. But his aggressive gameplay style rubbed his fellow houseguests the wrong way. He ruled the BB House like a mad king and the houseguests didn’t want to reward his behavior. He arguably played a stronger game than BB18 winner Nicole Franzel and BB19 winner Josh Martinez, but his personality made him hard to root for. Like Dan, his lack of jury management cost him the game.

Tyler Crispen deserved to win Big Brother 20

In my opinion, Tyler Crispen deserved to win Big Brother 20. To this day, I regard his Big Brother 20 performance as one of the greatest of all time. He made the right alliances, manipulated his fellow houseguests into doing his bidding, and caused division in the house to his benefit. It was pretty genius. His game was impressive but like many greats that came before him, a scorned jury robbed him of the prize. The majority of the jury voted for Tyler’s Level Six ally, Kaycee Clark because they liked her more than him.

Big Brother is streaming on Paramount Plus.

The Traitors brings together some of the greatest minds from the reality TV competition genre, so you would expect the gameplay to be pretty flawless, but even the sharpest minds are capable of making dumb moves in the castle. In the last three seasons, viewers have witnessed countless bad moves that leave us wondering how the contestants could be so reckless.

In honor of the latest season, let’s take a look back at some of the silliest moves made on the show so far.

Quentin Jiles and Andie Vanacore trusting Cirie Fields – The Traitors, Season 1

Faithfuls Quentin Jiles and Andie Vanacore narrowly missed out on the grand prize in Season 1 after they decided to go to the end with Cirie Fields. The two believed Cirie was a Faithful and felt confident they would be splitting the prize pot, but they were foolish to trust the Survivor legend. In the finale, Cirie used her Traitor powers to end Quentin and Andie’s game and steal the money for herself. It was a genius play by Cirie and made Quentin and Andie look like reality TV rookies.

Dan Gheesling frames Phaedra Parks – The Traitors, Season 2

Fans had high hopes when Big Brother star Dan Gheesling was cast in Season 2 of The Traitors. The Michigan native is often referred to as the best Big Brother winner, so fans expected him to run circles around his fellow players on The Traitors. Unfortunately, Dan didn’t live up to their expectations.

Dan decided to lay low in the castle after being chosen as a Traitor to avoid suspicion. While it wasn’t a terrible strategy, his execution wasn’t great. His aloof nature made him more suspicious and it didn’t take long before his name was floating around the castle. He made a last-ditch effort to save himself by throwing his fellow traitor, Phaedra Parks, under the bus. Not cool, dude. The move didn’t save him from banishment. The only thing it did was completely tank Phaedra’s game, which was pretty flawless up to that point.

Mercedes “MJ” Javid misses out on the money – The Traitors, Season 2

MJ Javid The Traitors

Mercedes “MJ” Javid played a good game, but she made a grave mistake in the Season 2 finale. MJ made it to the finale with fellow Faithfuls Trishelle Cannatella and CT Tamburello, but she didn’t walk away a winner. After the trio ousted Kate Chastain, MJ wanted to end the game and split the prize pot, but Trishelle and CT believed there could still be a Traitor among them and chose to continue the game. This resulted in another vote among the final three. The vote ended up being a tie with each player receiving one vote. CT voted for MJ, she voted for Trishelle, and (shockingly) Trishelle voted for her ally CT.

After the vote, CT tried to reason with Trishelle, promising he was a Faithful. MJ did nothing during this conversation. A smart player would jump on Trishelle’s reservations and agree to vote out CT with her. But she didn’t do that. When the second vote rolled around, CT and Trishelle voted to banish MJ and she left with nothing. Rookie move.

The Traitors murdering Dorinda Medley – The Traitors, Season 3

In the Season 3 premiere, Traitors Danielle Reyes and Bob the Drag Queen wanted to murder Dorinda Medley to weaken the Real Housewives alliance, but Carolyn Wiger thought it was a bad idea. She thought it was a good idea to keep a chaotic and unpredictable player like Dorinda in the game. In the end, Bob and Danielle were the majority and Dorinda was the first victim of the current season.

Viewers agreed with Carolyn that murdering Dorinda was a silly move. Dorinda already made enemies in the castle and she would have remained a target if she hadn’t been murdered. The Traitors could have used her as a scapegoat.

Bob and Danielle wanted to murder a housewife to “weaken their numbers,” but it would have been way smarter to work with the housewives. They are a huge voting block and the Traitors could have used them to do their bidding.

In Season 3 of The Traitors, Danielle and Rob Mariano made themselves huge targets by openly campaigning against one of their fellow Traitors at the roundtable. Their over-the-top speeches at the roundtable made their fellow players question how they could be so confident in their intuition unless, of course, they were Traitors. It’s not a bad move to turn against your fellow Traitor, but they need to let someone else do the talking.

New episodes of The Traitors are released every Thursday on Peacock.

Season 3 of The Traitors (U.S.) is shaping up to be the most exciting season yet. The cast is packed with reality TV icons, including “Boston Rob” Mariano, Chrishell Stause, Tom Sandoval, and many more. And of course, the season would be nothing without its fearless leader – Alan Cumming. Alan’s stellar performance on The Traitors made me wonder how other legendary reality TV hosts would fare in the castle. So naturally, I compiled a list of hosts I think would kill it on the Peacock series.

Here are my top picks…

Jeff Probst – Host of Survivor

At this point, Jeff Probst is synonymous with Survivor. In my mind, he spends 365 days a year in the Mamanuca Islands of Fiji and he sleeps and showers in his signature Survivor hat. While it’s hard to imagine Jeff existing outside the realm of Survivor, I would love to see him on The Traitors.

I believe Jeff would excel in any role he’s given on the show. The man has witnessed so much manipulation and lying in his decades-long career that I have no doubt he has the skills to be a successful Traitor. If he is selected as a Faithful, I think Jeff will lead the roundtables like he leads Tribal Council. If you’re a Survivor fan, you know Jeff loves to call people on their bullsh*t, which is a great quality to have on a show like The Traitors. I know my Scorpio King would spot the liars on day one.

Tyra Banks – Host of America’s Next Top Model

Tyra Banks knows how to make compelling television, which makes her a perfect fit for the Peacock show. Like Jeff, she is no stranger to the world of competition. After all, America’s Next Top Model makes Survivor look like a relaxing getaway. During her reign, she made the models compete in so many insane challenges that I started to wonder if she enjoyed torturing them. She would make them pose with a tarantula and then be like, “Well, that’s the fashion industry.” Like … is it though?

I want Tyra to bring her chaos to The Traitors. Can’t you imagine her getting heated during the roundtables and delivering yet another one of her iconic speeches? I would pay to see her yell, “I was rooting for you, we were all rooting for you! How dare you!” at one of the Traitors.

RuPaul Charles – Host of RuPaul’s Drag Race

RuPaul’s Drag Race stars haven’t fared too well in Alan Cumming’s Scottish Castle (Justice for Peppermint), but I think RuPaul himself may be the perfect fit for the competition show. Ru’s uniqueness, nerve, and talent will ensure his success in the series. I could see him succeeding in either role, but I would like to see him as a Traitor. I can picture Ru earning the trust of all the Faithfuls, turning on them in the end, and walking away the sole victor. Now that would be great TV.

Gordon Ramsay – Host of Hell’s Kitchen

Hell’s Kitchen host Gordon Ramsay would be endlessly entertaining on The Traitors. The Chef is known for his short temper, which makes me wonder how he would handle a Traitors roundtable, especially if his name was on the chopping block. I suspect he wouldn’t handle being accused with grace and I would love to see him defend himself. He would probably call his accusers “idiots” or “morons,” which would only increase their desire to banish him. His fellow competitors may not enjoy his presence in the castle, but the viewers at home would love it. The man is reality TV gold, after all.

Julie Chen-Moonves

Julie Chen-Moonves’ reality competition experience stretches three decades. She’s been hosting the CBS show Big Brother since its inception in 2001. Like Jeff Probst, Julie has met and spoken with a lot of reality TV liars in her lifetime She’s interviewed all the Big Brother legends, including Dan Gheesling, Dr. Will Kirby, and Danielle Reyes. I don’t see Julie being a mastermind on The Traitors, but I think she would be amazing at detecting BS. She’s seen it all on BB and I’m sure her experience would come in handy on a show like The Traitors. I think she would be a successful Faithful and maybe even make it to the end.

New episodes of The Traitors are released every Thursday on Peacock.

The Traitors (U.S.) has returned for a third season and I am quickly remembering why the series snagged two Emmys last year. The competition show originated in the Netherlands in 2021 and has since spawned spinoffs in over 10 countries. The U.S. version premiered in January 2023 and featured a mix of reality TV celebs and “civilians.” Survivor star Cirie Fields made it to the end as a Traitor and stole the prize pot, becoming the sole victor of the first season. After Season 1, production chose to focus on only casting reality stars, which meant more big personalities and more drama.

The Traitors success is not puzzling. It has all the elements of a great competition show. The challenges are brutal, the strategy talk is plentiful, and the atmosphere is beautiful. Not to mention, Alan Cumming is an excellent host. I’m going on record saying The Traitors is the best reality show on TV right now.

Keep reading to find out why.

The Traitors is fresh

Most of the successful reality shows today have 10-plus seasons under their belt. Big Brother celebrated its 26th season last summer, Season 48 of Survivor is expected to air this Spring, and The Bachelor is (somehow) still producing new seasons after 23 years on air. While it’s certainly impressive that these shows have stood the test of time, the content is becoming a bit stale. The format of The Bachelor once felt revolutionary, but in the present day, it feels a bit archaic. The new twists added to Survivor have fallen flat with viewers, making them question if the show will ever be as good as it once was.

The Traitors offers something new. The concept of the show is riveting and fans tune in each week to see who will be murdered, and who will be banished.

The show’s newness makes the strategy talk more interesting than other long-running reality shows. These days, it’s rare for a Survivor or Big Brother player to come up with a new strategy that hasn’t been used in a previous season. Usually, they recycle moves made by previous players. But the contestants on The Traitors are looking at the game with fresh eyes. They are guinea pigs trying to figure out the best way to crack the system. I think that is why Big Brother legends like Dan Gheesling and Cody Calafiore struggled on the show because there is no rulebook yet.

The Traitors combines many fanbases

The Traitors

The Traitors casts stars from an array of reality series, including Bravo shows, The Challenge, The Bachelor, Big Brother, and more. They also throw in a few rando internet celebs as well. I’m so here for Zac Efron’s brother being in the castle this season. He’s being iconic! The combination of stars makes it so fun to be a Traitors fan. The series brings together so many fanbases that you talk about the show with pretty much anyone. I mean, I guess excluding people who don’t watch reality TV, but do those people even exist???

The Traitors forces reality stars to step out of their element and do something different. “Robyn Dixon is actually a good social strategist” is a sentence I uttered this year, which is crazy. It’s cool seeing the housewives play a game that is so different from their usual jobs. And I love seeing how the different franchises blend in the castle.

The Traitors has a fabulous host

Dorinda Medley and Alan Cumming The Traitors

A great host is essential and Alan Cumming fits the bill. The UK Native is a perfect fit for the Peacock series. He makes the show 10 times more fabulous with his amazing outfits and dramatic one-liners. A good host should feel like an extension of the show. Fans want to feel like the host cares about the series and isn’t just floating in-and-out reading lines. Alan is involved in every aspect of the show. He helps pick The Traitors, hosts challenges, and is present at every roundtable. I can’t imagine anyone else hosting the show but him. His performance on the show won him an Emmy last year, so clearly, I am not the only one floored by his hosting talents.

New episodes of The Traitors are released every Thursday on Peacock.
