The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 just got deep. In the latest episode, Dorit Kemsley brought a revelation about newbie Amanda Frances. Specifically, she shared that after some online searching, she found a blog that the newbie wrote in 2015.
The article details how she left an alleged cult eight years ago, which would have been back in 2007. This is information that Amanda hadn’t told any of her new co-stars prior, officially making Dorit the town crier. And now that the cat is out of the bag, she is sharing more of her story.

Amanda recently opened up more about her past religious experience, which stretched for multiple years.
“Between ministry training school and bachelor’s, I was, for two years, very highly involved in a church that I consider to be a cult. It fits all the criteria for a cult. It fits all the criteria for religious abuse. That was what it was for me. That was the experience I had,” she told US Weekly.
And while Dorit came to the group with this piping hot tea, Amanda maintains that it wasn’t hidden at all.
“The cult story isn’t a secret. Everyone in my audience, in my community, women in my courses, have known this story forever. So, when she’s pulling it up like it’s dirt, it’s very weird to me. Because it’s not dirt.”
Of course, she isn’t the only housewife with alleged cult ties. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Crosby is in the spotlight over the same thing, but not for being a part of one, but for allegedly running one. There was a recent documentary from her former congregation members detailing some wild accusations.
