Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger walked out of prison in September 2025. She was sentenced to two years in jail, with one year suspended for her DUI conviction. Apparently, Karen was busy doing plenty of good deeds while in jail because she only served six months.
Still, there has been some debate among fans as to whether Karen should be part of RHOP. She did return for the RHOP Season 12 finale. After her prison stint, Karen was reunited with her husband, Ray Huger, her sister, and her daughter, Rayvin Huger. After some meaningful moments, Karen needed a shower to wash “this jail off me.”
Andy Cohen sat down with Karen Huger following her release from prison
During the RHOP finale, Bravo’s Andy Cohen visited Karen for a chat. And Karen was owing it all, even her addiction to alcohol and pills. She even discussed what happened the night of her DUI.
“I wasn’t happy here. Let’s be very clear, Ray and I have been very honest about our marriage, and we were going through it – we still were – and I was very unhappy. The kids were gone, the house was a tomb, and I just wanted to get away that night,” Karen explained. “I wanted to escape being unhappy … I’m just so grateful that the night that I had the accident that I didn’t hit a person, and thank God, because I could’ve killed someone, and I’m so grateful that I didn’t,” she added.
She continued, “I’m grateful I’m here and honestly, Andy, I don’t [drink] and drive. It’s just something I just wouldn’t do.” Naturally, Andy didn’t let Karen’s remark slide. “Well, you did it four times,” he responded. “Well, let’s talk about that … I had two DUIs, not four,” Karen responded. “There were four incidents involving alcohol, two of them were not DUIs, and the oldest was 20 years old.”
